Used free 4 nights in Westin in Maui, it was amazing. Paid extra $80 to upgrade to balcony room overlooking the ocean. Insane value.

We used 4 free nights in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Moxy. The beds were rock hard. The Titanium breakfast benefit was okay. Poor man's W.

Used my free night in an AC Hotel in Boston for a staycation New Year's Eve, which turned out to be an awesome time. Luckily it fell under the 35k threshold.
This past weekend May 12-13, I used my free night at the New York Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. I had to use 7000 points.

I can actually find some pretty good redemptions in Los Angeles (By the Crypto Center) with just the 40k certs from IHG.
the Marriots and Westin in my area only shows 100k pts minimum... so the 35k FNC are trash

Nope, only works if you're paying with points.

Did Marriott devalue the points? I feel like I was able to utilize my 35k pt certificate in more places in the past.
I think so, they get rid of their award chart so now everything is dynamic pricing
I stayed at a Moxy in Norway once. I think that vibe feels kind of sleazy. Kind of a lounge lizard slime.
Do you like the 50k cert or 85k cert?
85k is wayyy better. Its so hard to find a nice resort for under 85k

To be fair, Moxys are all more like a hostel than a hotel.
The only marriott cards worth getting is the brilliant and the ritz. Everything else is 💩
