- Following up a previous VC thread, where I showed ten albums where the title track is the best track. This thread shows ten albums where the opening track is the best song of the album. Lot of classic records, ranging from thrash metal, death metal and traditional heavy metal.
So many great albums and so many great songs. I agree with most of these.
Definitely a lot of classics I had to show! Could pick some more, but I already showed them in the previous one! Let me know what you think of Europe!

The idea may be simple but the execution is tough. I can´t think of any album from the top of my head now where the opening track is my fave. Not a single one... I´ll find some in the end, I promise!
Crimson Glory just played a headlining show around the corner from where I live in front of 2000 fans. Of course I didn´t even bother to go, hahaha... my girlfriend went instead of me...
Well, CG without Midnight isn't good. Even the third album wíth him wasn't good, hahaha. First two, period! I could think of a few more but I showed them in the other, like Piece of Time and Unstoppable Force. And like I said, even one is good, hahaha.
In no particular order: Darkthrone: Transilvanian Hunger, Dark Tranquillity: The Gallery, Slayer: Hell Awaits, Death: Leprosy, Sepultura: Beneath the Remains, Cradle of Filth: The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Bolt Thrower: The IV Crusade, Primordial: Where Greater Men Have Fallen, Hypocrisy: Abducted, Dimmu Borgir: Stormblåst. Coincidentally seven of these are title tracks.
Nice list! I agree with your Slayer and Bolt Thrower picks as well. Four of my previous one were opening tracks as well. Piece of Time Unstoppable Force, Voice of the Cult and Stay Hungry.
