Sounds like you had a great trip Thomas. No remorse is an excellent label and I'm glad you managed to pay a visit to the shop and pick up some souvenirs, excellent finds.
Congrats for obtaining these Flames and Vavel goodies, as well ass Medievam Steel.Funny thing is floga is the greek word for flame, so Floga records that put out Flames' Summon the dead translates to Flames Records in english.I have an affinity for Flames debut, it has certainly many heavy metal and speed elements still and less thrash sound.I am glad you like Vavel so much, they are doe my hometown (Thessaloniki). They were one of rhe bands along Rust from Athens that did a concert in order to reconcile fans from Thessaloniki and Athens who back then had problems unrelated to music and very much related to and connected with football hooliganism.I don't remember if you already have it and showed it in a previous video Thomas, I think you might have, but 2 other very good records were made by Nigel's Foxxe's later band(s), Thanatos INC Life L.T.D in 1987 and its continuation Nigel Foxxe's INC.-War of the gods from 1988.Thanatos INC for some reason reminds me more a Belgian band, the vocal style play a role in this, not far away from Warhead from Belgium.
That is some great information my friend! I did not buy the original Vavel record though. Really love them, the songwriting, the keyboards, the low quality production. Vavel is fantastic, Rust is very good too.
Hi Thomas!!! Well done and cool to see greek goodies now in your collection..... i visited the countrty many years ago before i was in the VC and missed visiting record shops and maybe No Remorse was not around (¿?) I have not heard Flames before, but seeing that artwork or maybe a later one.... i will definitely checking them out. cheers and be well
To me, going on holiday, visiting record stores is not the priority. However it is a must, haha! Maybe there were not as many around then. Definitely check out Flames, as well as Vavel! Cheers Cristian
Great stuff Thomas , never heard Flames so I’m intrigued..seen one of their more modern albums for sale, must check it out Glad you enjoyed your holiday 🏖️
Medieval Steel is so a great Album! Searching long Time for the Original Vinyl. Bought it last Week for only 20 Euro in a Perfect Condition! My Best Vinyl Haul ever! I cant believe it:-)
Nice video and very good choices Thomas. Medieval Steel is always a perfect band. I suggest you listen the album First Attack from Spitfire band. The Legends of Greek Heavy Metal. A true masterpiece. Hail from Greece.
Quality over quantity every time now 🤘totally agree if you want majority of OGs in your collection. Awesome finds man. I have a couple of Flames albums on CD and they are killer.
Hello Thomas, glad to know you've enjoyed solo album by Alberto Cereijo. His newer album "Evasion" is as good as first album. He is guitarist of Spanish band Los Suaves (The Smooth), which is not a pure metal band but a kind of dramatic folky/country hardrock band and a I'm a very little (may be only one? hehe..) fan in Japan.. I would even love their albums especially titled "Malas Noticias" (Bad News) with funny cover. If you come across that band, try it!
Cereijo is one of those foreign shredders nobody knows about! Like Mr Green from Brazil, or Lee Hyun Suk from Korea. Glad to hear I'm not the only fan here, haha!
Really cool haul there! A bunch of things I'd like to get my hands on myself. I was hoping you'd spend the whole video shaking your head and silently pointing at your records in retsliation of the bullying you've been a victim of lately :D
I did do an exaggerated BYE at the end for the boys, hahaha. I still hope to find the stuff I missed there, like the Vavel album. Also the Greece Attacks compilation, but I did not see that in the wild.
Yeah, Flames, made in Hell(as), hehehe... The first two have a bit of a South American vibe, like the old Cogumelo records, right? Very cool you found the OGs in the OG country. I always do the same, I bought Turbo and Kat in Poland, Pokolgep in Hungary, etc... My recordshop around the corner has Vavel´s second album, OG from 2003 for 20 Euro but I never bothered picking it up. I have the CD and that´s ok for me.
They really have that old nasty feeling to it a lot of South American bands have, exactly! Whenever I go to a country I look up some records from the country itself and hope to find them, it's really fun. First store we walked in to, I found the second Flames album right away! You know what I did not see but really hoped to find, the Greece Attacks compilation. Great comp, tons of bands that never made it. The second Vavel album is arguably better than the first one, better quality. Wasn't it supposed to be released in 1987 as a follow up of the first.
@@mercyfulmetal7324 Vavel´s second album was recorded in 1988 but only released in 2003. Damn, speaking about it now, I think I´ll get the vinyl, hahaha... Sometimes you just have to ask in the store. Last time in Hungary I wondered why none of the shops had any Pokolgep... They had copies in the cellar. Some were gifted to me some where like 1 or 2 Euros. Condition? Don´t ask, hehe... they play fine anyways. But hey, I got the records in it´s country of origin. Original Omen (Hungary) and Moby Dick albums are harder to find...
Beware of Vavel's Christmas song, hahaha! We love to sing that song in bad tone as a joke. Omen from Hungary is very good as well! I remember when I was in Spain, the lack of actual Spanish records over there! But hey, even here in the Netherlands, you don't really see a lot of Dutch metal records. The only thing you'll probably find is Vandenberg, lol.
Check out Summon The Dead from them, I think I sent you a song earlier. Has some early Kreator and Sepultura vibes, probably a little too sloppy for your taste.
Sounds like you had a great trip Thomas. No remorse is an excellent label and I'm glad you managed to pay a visit to the shop and pick up some souvenirs, excellent finds.
Never mind the music… I f**king love Greece & its islands… a stunningly beautiful place… glad you had a good time there Thomas. Good to see you sir🤘🏻
Hi Thomas, great to hear you had a good holiday mate! Nice pick ups with the Flames records. The debut is a really fun slice of dirt! Cheers mate.
Summoning the Dead is my favorite of them, but it's great to pick the first two. They have that dirty vibe going on. Hope you're all good Jason

Damn Simon, there goes all my non existing ad revenue!
Great to learn of new 80's releases from you. Cool you got to grab the 2 Flames albums. 15 record shops in one place sounds like heaven 😊
Flames is highly recommended, especially their late 80s stuff! It sounds like heaven indeed, but not for the wife, hahaha.
Great stuff Thomas , never heard Flames so I’m intrigued..seen one of their more modern albums for sale, must check it out

An original Medieval Steel for 20 euros? Are you sure you're not dreaming? Hahaha. That sounds like the find of a lifetime!
@@mercyfulmetal7324 Yes, that's what I thought too! At first I thought it was the High Roller pressing! But no, it was the original!
Wow, unbelievable! I'll give you 21 for it, hahaha.

First Attack is a fantastic album, I actually saw it at one of the shops! It was a little too expensive for a holiday purchase, so I left it there.
