I also wonder why those types of challenges (the F4 Immunity and the "pecking order chop" challenge) aren't done anymore. They offer a different type of challenge and can expose the cracks in a majority. I can guess that Natalie Anderson and her allies killed off the pecking order challenge after Jeff noticed them talking about to whom to throw it, but what about the S4 F4 Q&A?
bridget evelyn and her making a f2 deal with Kathy then breaking it right in front of her face at the challenge and making with Neleh and throwing it to her after Kathy dropped was an amazing move.
@@TeamPaul17 I believe Peridiam or another youtuber talked about it. I think it had to do with them messing up and the controversy over the piercing question that should've caused a tie
When other players were told they could bring a luxury item, they brought a luxury item. When Vecepia was told she could bring a luxury item, she brought a gameplay exploit. She is probably the first person to heavily incorporate watching Survivor on TV into her strategy. I won't @ you because I agree with you.
I will always love Vecepia's reaction to winning. If I ever won Survivor I would flip out too.

Vecepia is one of the most underrated winners in the history of the game. Played a phenomenal game. Was constantly in a bad spot or at the bottom of an alliance and still came out on top.

She never really had a true alliance and managed to win that’s pretty interesting

As great as that would be, I doubt many of the other Winners will be back. Bob Crowley was old in Gabon and Tina was no spring chicken in Blood vs Water. They’d be two of the oldest players ever on the show. Brian Heidik has had lots of legal troubles and has done some really terrible animal cruelty things that would be a really bad look for cbs. After Sue Hawke’s allegations against Richard Hatch and the Dan Spilo saga from Island of the Idols, I doubt they’re keen on bringing back Hatch. Cochran has said multiple times that now that he’s won, he doesn’t want to play again. Todd Herzog has had tons of trouble with addiction that he said started with he partying and money from winning Survivor. I don’t really think it’d be good for his sobriety to bring him back. And it’s no secret that Probst hated Natalie White (and to a lesser degree thought V was boring) and isn’t likely to bring her back. That doesn’t leave a deep bench of former winners.
@@elijahculper5522 facts, and after an all winner season I want to see some different characters to win. Maybe a first boot season or another second chance one, but with runner ups etc since there are a lot of good runner ups to choose from (Dom, Dean, Mike (dvsg) Angelina etc etc) while a first boot season would be hilarious

I agree, she is the ultimate game changer which is another season she should have been on.
She was the first to win using a floater strategy and played from the bottom. It sucks they won't have her back.
Russell Hantz talked about her in a video. He was shocked that she wasn't even called and it seems out of all the winners not in WaW he wanted to see her, Earl, and Natalie White there the most.

I love this idea of covering Winners’ journeys because it gives your audience a really thorough scope as to what sorts of strategies have been used throughout the years, what works, what doesn’t, and what makes a “winner” a winner. Can’t wait to watch parts 2-4 :)

Brian also came up with the goat strategy. He was the first one to align with someone most others disliked and knew he could certainly beat in the end. Not many OG strategies work today, but that one is always still implemented. Brian is a legend.
Love Brian the first dominant survivor winner. I think he’s underrated
Jenna has a native american face really suit for "Queen of Amazon" title which labelled by media due to season big hit at that time. Not only she was the winner but also a female from all women tribe that outlasted men tribe. Legend has it there was a group of female warriors dominates Amazon River long ago.

Vecepia should have been on Winners at War, full stop. She even gave an interview saying she wanted to be on it, and said they've never invited her back. I'd much rather have seen her than Boston Rob who had to play like 20 times before he finally won.

Yeah, I really hope Vecepia was on WaW rather than Sarah, who did nothing in the game other than riding Tony's coattails thinking she can win against him.
If they casted her vs Amber in Dakal I think she would have bonded with Wendell, Yul and Sandra and Kim would have been voted out first off the tribe she would have lasted at least post merge and would have played like Denise but would have tried to vote off Tony before it was too late

People keep forgetting that Vee had another path to the final had Both Rob and Sean been voted out by being considered as a fifth person in Rotu 4 and I think Tammy, John alluded to that many times...also she had such a great argument during F5 that Sean and her were not an alliance but just a voting block bc they had too (it may not have been true but sounded good enough for me!)...As Rob C mentioned Vee had to walk so Sandra can fly...one of the pioneers of playing from the bottom

Tina swimming across that raging river to retrieve the can of rice from that devastating flood that wrecked their camp is still one of the most hardcore things I've seen on a Survivor season.

@@anewfuture They wanted Earl really badly but he declined because apparently family stuff got in the way. Which sucks. Had it been season 39 instead of 40, we would've seen Earl. And I mean, most of the pre 20 people who were skipped make at least some sense. Natalie never wants to come back, JT's a joke now unfortunately, production disliked/hated Bob, Chris, Vecepia, and Brian, Earl couldn't cause of his family, Tom couldn't clear physical, Richard has a laundry list of reasons, and Todd had his highly publicized drug problems. The only ones I really can't explain why they were cut are Tina and Jenna, and with Tina, I know she was put in casting, so I can't justify why she's not on the cast at all

Vee is probably the most underrated winner. Maybe because it wasn't clearly a move, but you left out her pointing out Kathy's bra issue, which some have taken as a sneaky way to get her to flub the challenge. All around she was a quiet mastermind.

So pissed Tina or Vecepia were not on WAW (Especially V since we never saw her play a second time). Producers just had to cry to Amber to play when she didnt even want to play and snubbed these two women who are both better players and to my knowledge both were extremely interested to play. Jenna and Natalie W. would also probably end up being better choices, I love Jenna and its also a shame she never actually played a 2nd time properly.

Do an episode explaining the numbers in terms of race, age, gender demographic in the final three and winners, and explain why those numbers are so.
You use a lot of sociology to call out strategies, explain why people lose or win with the moves they did or didn’t make. You often explain how people’s social game often affect the votes, you explain so much things like an anthropologist observing people. I know you can use all your reasoning again to explain wins, especially by the type of person they’ve been in life. Even when it comes to the intended to be winners that get voted off.

To be fair Rob.C was right in thinking Jenna is a Goat. Anyone against Rob.C was a goat. When both finalists say you deserve a spot in the final 2 more than them, and Rob.C wasn’t like an early boot that had “potential” no no he was a master strategist that picked each and every post merge vote with precision. Honestly him and Stephen Fishbach becoming partners on stream is kinda poetic as both played so similar.
I've always loved how Colby seems more excited about Tina's win than Tina does.

Mad rich got snubbed. Tina played somewhat recently is bvw, still wanted her, but Rich last played in season 8. Also, really wanted Earl.
TheSunxy Michelle or Sophie Edit: upon further thought I would probably swap her with Danni as they fill similar roles and Tina is a more popular player.

@@albertogrullon-salcedo369 I would have loved to see amber play without Rob, as she honestly had a pretty strong chance to go far. But yeah, really really wanted to see Tina back. Honestly, probably would've cut Natalie if it were up to me. Like, she's likable enough I guess, but she wasn't wanted back as much as Danni, wasn't as likable as Michele, wasn't as good a narrator as Sophie. Going into the season, Natalie was probably the only winner who didn't have a huge status (positive or not)
When I first watched Amazon I was a huge fan of Jenna (and I still am) and I didn´t quite understand why she´s so disliked...IMO besides Rob she was the most deserving. She played one of the best social games as well as a phisical game. And I don´t think she was that bad in strategy either - giving Heidi a neckless was pure strategy - she knew Rob was thinking about voting out Heidi but never wanted to vote out Jenna. So she sealed Rob´s vote.
And yeah...she was thinking about quitting but I bet everyone had a weak moment on the island...it´s just weird they show it in the edit (winners edit nowadays looks a lot different)...In the end she didn´t quit and shifted the endgame by herself which I really liked about her

I’ll rank them from most surprised wasn’t on winners at war to least surprised:
1. Tina. It’s actually not even really close. There were 14 female winners that have won this game. I’m impressed that casting was able to convince 10 females to play without Tina being one of the 10. Like I am genuinely impressed. So many of the female winners on this season were weaker winners than Tina. This includes Amber, Michele, Danni, Sophie, Sarah, and Denise. (Sarah is now a great player and is in the hall of fame but still....) Tina not being on here was a shock.
2. Earl. I just thought Earl had no chance to not play. He is one of if not the greatest one time playing winner now so I just assumed he’d be on especially after finding out he was in the casting pool for season 34 but had to step out last minute for work allegations. I thought season 40 was the perfect time to bring him back and I was stunned that I didn’t see him on the list. Apparently, he was on paternity leave. So. The mother can just take care of the baby or hire someone to take care of the baby. It’s 2 million dollars dude. I know u didn’t know that but come on bro. You could’ve figured this out. This STUNNED ME. I was just so surprised Jeff wanted Wendell in more than Earl.
3. Cochran. He goes to every finale and literally have an advantage to Debbie Wanner in Game Changers so I just always assumed we were gonna get to see him play again. After hearing Jeff Probst say Cochran was in the writing room with David and they were writing Star Trek. I thought nothing of it so I was shocked at first that he wasn’t on the cast so I’m basing his placement here off of that. I genuinely thought CBS was gonna pay him big bucks to play again because they loved him and so does Jeff Probst. I thought the Star Trek thing wouldn’t jeopardize his shot to play again but it did so whatever.
4. JT. WE JUST SAW HIM PLAY IN SEASON 34. Why was JT not on this cast. I originally had him at 2, then 3, and now 4 though because the more I thought about it, JT isn’t the greatest winner of all time, he’s more commonly known for his mistakes so people don’t consider him as this great “winner” of the show so I think that’s why he apparently wasn’t even contacted. He also got into some trouble just like how some winners did so although I’m absolutely shocked. There had to have been a confidential reason as to why he wasn’t on winners at war.
5. Vecepia. Vecepia was an extremely boring winner. The only reason why I thought she’d be on winners at war is simply because the casting pool was too little. Like there are only 14 female winners and I knew that 10 of them would make the cut. What I thought would happen is Natalie W, Jenna, Amber, and Parvati would say no to playing again so that Vecepia would have to play because there are no other options. I also thought Vecepia would maybe be more wanted back then someone like Danni because she was boring too in her season. Basically I just thought to myself when I found out all winners was happening was that I was surprised that they got 10 female winners of the 14 to come back. I didn’t think Sarah wanted to come back either you know. I always felt like Vecepia would say yes because why wouldn’t she so I was very surprised we didn’t get her on winners at war.
6. Aras. No idea why Aras wasn’t here. Aras played on season 27 and definitely wasn’t a bad winner. I would’ve preferred Aras on this season then Wendell or Ben. I thought production felt like he was a dominant enough winner where he’d be a huge consideration to be on this season but I guess not.
7. Mike. By the way. I would say the top 7 here are the only 7 people that I thought would be on winners at war that weren’t. Mike is actually lower here then I originally had win because he is the newest school winner amongst those in between seasons 1 and 37 that isn’t on this season and I thought casting wanted to really stock up on them. Mike tho is a very similar archetype to Ben Driebergen so it doesn’t shock me that Mike wasn’t on but it surprises me a little bit. He’s an energetic personality and someone I would love to see play again one day but he won’t probably unless they do winners at war 2 for season 50. Then he might have a shot.
8. Fabio. I said Bob is up there as the worst male winner ever potentially but Fabio is a close second or third. He’s one of the most winners ever. The reason he’s this high is because we’ve never had someone win the show in his archetype so I thought maybe production would want a bit of silliness concocted into the war so I thought he’d be a bit more considered then he was but Nicaragua was such a forgotten season so maybe production completely forgot about him.
9. Chris D. I felt like due to his obesity and the fact that it’s been a while since he’s played, I didn’t think he had much of a chance to be on this season, the reason tho that he’s so high is because he likely says yes to playing, and likely passes medical. If Ethan passed it, why couldn’t Chris D. Also he’s an electric personality so I expected that he’d be called but I didn’t think he’d make the final cut.
10. Tom. Tom is just old. I didn’t expect he’d agree to play at the age of 54 and under his health. At least with Tina Wesson, she’s old but healthy and that’s why she’s high on here. Tom is old and is still having a hard time with past thoughts of 9/11. Doing survivor wouldn’t be smart for him.
11. Rich. Rich is a bit low here and I’ll explain why. After watching season 39 and the whole Dan Spilo incident, it came to my attention that the loophole would be tightened a little bit so not seeing Rich on the cast didn’t shock me as much as some others because I had already experienced this shock once before. Remember how he didn’t get Rich on heroes vs villains. Well I hope you did because if you did, you’d maybe realize that the Sue Hawk incident followed by the Dan Spilo incident would result in a huge deciding factor in who would be competing in winners at war and Rich being on naked all the time isn’t a repeat production wanted in 2019.
12. Chris Underwood, I think filming for season 40 began the day after Chris Underwood was crowned the winner. The WaW cast were all given the option to watch the season 38 finale because they were sequestered right after so bring Chris Underwood on would’ve made things very last minute but that’s not really the main problem. The problem is he’s the only winner to be voted out and come back and that’s why he’s this low. The reason why he’s this high tho is the trend I expected and that came to a reality is we’d get mostly new schoolers on the season so I was sort of surprised the season 38 winner wouldn’t be taking part but I then realized afterwards that Chris Underwood won the season and realized how much of a joke it would be if he was put on.
13. Todd. It’s kind of unfortunate I have to put Todd this low but I doubt he got contacted because I don’t think production felt it was necessary calling him if he could potentially pick up the phone drunk. If you didn’t know already, he was on Dr. Phil. So although he’s pretty sober now and doing pretty well, I understand why he wasn’t called but had he been called and they realized how great Todd was doing, he likely replaces Adam on winners at war.
14. Bob. To me Bob is maybe the worst male winner ever. He was boring and the only reason he won was because he got to the end with literally the only two people he could beat. He might have won had he sat next to Crystal and Sugar or maybe even Randy and Sugar but for the most part, his game was bland.
15. Jenna. Jeff Probst Hayes quitters and so even tho it was for understandable reasons that she left and for a reason that wouldn’t be duplicated. It was always clear to me that production would just assume that Jenna wouldn’t want to play and tbh, I don’t think Jeff thought she was great TV aside from the “I’ll take my clothes off for peanut butter moment” so it didn’t surprise me too much that she wasn’t brought back.
16. Natalie W. I just never saw production bringing her back considering Jeff always felt like Russell deserved the win.
17. Brian. Jeff Probst Hayes him and has said over and over again he doesn’t want him so it’s just not gonna happen.
18. Tommy. Obviously winners at war filmed before the winner was crowned for season 39 so obviously he’s on the bottom.
Imagine another season with them as the players.

I can’t believe CBS hasn’t contacted you about being an actual editor for Survivor.
They should do a season where it’s 10 winners vs 10 good players or returnees that haven’t won, but instead of just using people from WAW they should bring in like Tina, Vecepia, Jenna, Earl, Todd, Chris U., etc..

I still suspect that in Amazon Christy thought the jury vote was against the finalist. It didn't affect the outcome but things would be interesting in a Jenna vs Rob final which could well be a 4:3 vote.
I have to disagree about Brian blowing up the Ghandia thing.
Ghandia said after the apology and "You are a good man, Ted" speech that she later thought about it and actually didn't feel it was genuine. Instead of going to Ted to settle it, she went to the girls and started giving extra details she had not mentioned or given to Ted, the producers, or the audience. Helen asked Brian about it, Brian asked Ted. Ted said "it's nothing. There is no problem" because he was under the assumption the situation had been settled. Brain told Helen and it was Helen who changed the phrasing to say "nothing happened".
Ghandia later admitted she lied about half of what she claimed in order to make him look bad and better her chances.
Her idea could have actually been successful had she not lost her temper at the misinformation handed to her. I think she could have made it much farther with Ted as a good ally had she let it end with the apology and moved onto the game. Maybe taking him out at the merge would have been a better management of her game.

I think Jenna played up her illness and lack of interest. Heidi was declaring she was a fighter and I think Jenna deliberately try to shift the spotlight onto her so that she could put it out. I mean if you were Rob and you had one person thing "I want to win this thing" and one person saying "I want to go home" who are you going to target first?
Anyway, that's what I believe.
This was the first season I watched live and I thought Jenna was actually playing it that way too. But on one of her guesting in Rob's podcast she admitted she really did want to quit that time. But I am still very happy that Jenna won that season
Imagine winners at war but it’s everyone who got 2nd to the winners from all the same seasons as the them like whoever lost to Sandra, Tyson, parv, Natalie, tony, Sarah etc

I think for Brian’s game it’s important to note that Shi Anne was going to flip to Brian’s side meaning that even if the fake merge didn’t happen it would likely have the same outcome

Season 1 was brilliant
Rob defeats Jenna 100%. Rob had Alex, Matt, Butch and Christy locked up. Jenna had Heidi 100%. Dave and Deena I could envision voting for Jenna, but it doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure Rob said somewhere it would have been 3-3 with Christy being the deciding vote. I think it's safe to assume she votes Rob given that she only voted for Jenna cuz she found Matt so creepy.
I don’t think Alex was a lock, he was good friends with Jenna and was probably angry at Rob for betraying him. Deena was actually a lock for voting for Rob, she’s strategic and would want the better player to win and she had a tight bond with Rob as well.
@@b.k.9797 Alex and Rob were very close out there. I think he may have forgiven Rob at FTC if Rob explained he felt betrayed. I guess he isn't a lock, but I don't think Deena was necessarily a lock for Rob tho she claims she would have voted for him. She was vocal about wanting a female winner. Rob says it would have been a 3-3 vote with Christy deciding the winner and he felt pretty confident she would have voted for him over Jenna.
