我女兒在舊金山也得了新冠病毒,完全是找不到感染源,休息了一個星期,現已經痊癒了,又開始去上班了。
加油，年節要到了，剛好剩一個禮拜，生病難免尤其是在異鄉，要好好照顧身體，跟家人拜年說個吉祥話，讓他們可以放心一點，辛苦但是起碼是我們力所能及

我更慶幸我生活在台灣！台灣之所以不用Lockdown也能有效控制疫情，是在於我們資訊很透明，民眾也能自發性地配合執行政府所宣導的防疫措施。政府在兼顧百業的經濟下，合情合理合度 理智地防疫，民眾自然也就無需恐慌，配合度自然也就高啦！根本無須採用高壓的手段！這就像人與人之間的交往，要相互為對方着想，取得彼此間的信任與合作，政府與民間大家一起把防疫做好。哪須要高壓手段？！
台湾之所以不用Lockdown也能有效控制疫情，是因为台湾是一个岛，四面八方都是海，防住了航厦就可以防住病毒大范围传播

前幾天才看到FB有人分享在澳洲得病，醫生說：你之前沒得是因為沒朋友，我前幾天才剛康復而已，開個感冒藥回去給你吃。

保重身體, 康復後多運動,有助恢復... 我在日本一個朋友最初得了武漢株(第一代病毒),重症住了三個月負壓病房, 康復後原本大概走個1公里就會喘, 每天持續運動後,大約半年現在可以騎車上六甲山(位於神戶)來回了. 加油!!
后遣症是可以恢复的，人类免疫能力是强大的，只要好好休息及吃均衡营养。

At least if your cat does get sick, a vet will give you some meds and he can quarantine at home anyway. Many pets have had covid and vets have been giving them treatment plans. They should be fine.
Also getting covid in the west is inevitable we all expect it. No one is ashamed of it anymore we just want to get on with life.
In China it’s still shameful to get it because your fate is intertwined with everyone you live with in your building, and the testing sometimes twice a day in winter is so burdensome. If I was sick In China I wouldn’t tell anyone.

Oh! I know where you are :) It took me a second to realize this. At first I was thinking, why does this street look so familiar??? Well, I went to college next door to you! 🎨 I'm so excited you're there right now. Like anywhere, it has its downsides (cold weather, not too exciting), but the atmosphere draws you in and no matter where you live in the future, it will feel nostalgic to remember.

太能理解了，当我得知武汉封城大年初一我直接飞到泰国去了，不是说去泰国就不会染上病毒，只是想即使染上了希望自己可以体面人道的对待。在中国可能疫情没死，却被一刀切的政策搞到死的莫名其妙！

That’s a pity to hear those sad stories happened in Xian or other cities in China. However, if you are living in Shanghai the situation can be different or better, I heard that the Shanghai City treats her citizens more civilized.
Shanghai is built from a different material. Can't say it s liberal, but it seems to be more open.

Information is clamped down so hard in China that even if the apartments next door are on lock down you won't know. Shanghai had 22 cases today if the reported numbers are to be believed.

Glad you are recovering and don't feel too bad. America made many mistakes throughout this pandemic, but at least cats and hamsters are safe. Either way, I think things are starting to get back to normal and we hopefully moving past the pandemic by Spring. Stay safe and keep getting better!
The biggest mistake America ever made during the pandemic was ever trying to copy what China did. Lockdowns were worthless. The vaccine is ineffective. It hurt our companies. It hurt our economy. It hurt our children in school. The biggest mistake of all though was that China lied. People died. People shouldn't forget, this virus came from CHINA. It happened because of the poor food standards at a food market in Wuhan. The Chinese government continues to fail to keep the quality of places like this to a normal level.
Not in Oklahoma.

@PrimeTV btw, can you prove that the virus was originated from Wuhan, old kidd?? It's first reported from there!! But, after that there are/were so many reports that the traces of the virus found in many places in Europe and elsewhere, even before Dec 2019!! And, Fort Detrick anyone?? Hahaha..

中國現在不只是西安天津這種疫區高管制，
現在是各省市都各自嚴格管制通行，各地要路過都要當地最新的綠碼證，等於是各地變相的「路條」，古代那種通關的路條，根本是寸步難行，大家干脆都待在自己家裡，最好都不出門了，因為出去被管制的風險太大了。

我也是这几天中奖的，不过我是在公立学校教书的，所以应该是在学校中的。在德州规定不能强制戴口罩，所以大部分的学生和老师都没戴。我也是喉咙非常痛，痛了三天后慢慢好转，发烧了一点点。一个星期过了，现在好了许多，希望你们也都康复了！我是打了三剂的Modena，最后那一次是去年12月打的。我也没去看医生，就是在家吃药而已，好市多的night time flu medicine.

Wish you and your wife well! In America, we have freedom. It is more than a year now since I work from home and I still have a job to feed my family working from home. If I happen to live in China, my family will be screw with no job and food. Lucky, I live in America. I can go anywhere I want without authority harassing me. In a high Covid lock down, you still can travel to other part of the country. No police pulls you over.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Vaccine is what saved you from worse symptoms. I had a slightly scratchy throat and general stuffiness in the head during the New Year's holiday and had a scare because I was afraid I spread to the relatives if it was COVID. Unfortunately, there was a shortage of rapid test kit and PCR appointment was 1 week away. By the time I got results back, it had already been 11 days. Test came out negative, but I may have missed the window.

My co-worker tested positive and he's not allowed back to work until he tests negative. We require PCR test weekly at my work. We threw out all his food in the refrigerator Nd all his everyday "use" articles on his desk. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

得不得covid现在已经不是一个运气问题了，每个人都会得，
I think we should always take into consideration the scale of China. There is no way China can ever follow other country's policies simply because they are in a different league. China is 4 times the size of the USA. And the majority of population lives in close quarters. The largest US city is only 8mil people (NYC). Whereas Shanghai is 26mil people, that's 3X of NYC. Imagine if everyone gets sick at the same time, that would immediately overwhelm the healthcare system. Which means, any covid and non-covid patients will be forced to delay or cancel treatments (like that pregnant lady, or folks suffering from strokes, heart attacks, etc..). When the hospitals are full someone will have to be sacrificed. Currently, the high infection areas in the US are overwhelmed. Doctors and nurses are exhausted. 800,000 ppl are dead and counting (not including non-covid deaths). So I support China's strict covid policy. One city or one building lockdown (1%) means the rest of the country (99%) is open. Someone will have to endure discomfort. Either that, or they have the entire country overwhelmed & possibly lockdown. Furthermore, any massive lockdown would completely disrupt China's economy and shutdown of manufacturing sectors. Which can cause an uncontrollable collapse. Until the great majority of people are vaccinated, China should not loosen up like the United States, unless the high-risk demographics (seniors and people with health-conditions) are willing to die. The good news is Omnicron variant is highly contagious, but for many it has shown to be less deadly. The virus seems to be weakening. Hopefully that means China can start opening up to the world. I can't wait to visit China soon. And I do hope you and wife have a speedy recovery.

There has been some recent studies which showed that the omicron variant can survive longer in the environment than the previous strains like alpha, delta, etc. This means that while Covid has been shown to be largely transmitted by aerosol, one can't rule out fomite transmission (by touching surfaces like table, door knob, etc contaminated with infectious droplets) especially with omicron which is known to be much more infectious than other strains to begin with.
