Thanks so much for not painting it grey and blacking out the chrome, she is stunning
Amen brother....I dont know why a lot of guys paint thier car grey....It is the most BOORING color in the world.....And painting over chrome should be considered a crime.....if you do that you midas well buy a newer car with no chrome and plastic bumpers 🤣🤣🤣

I love seeing these Galaxie builds, I don't really see that many of them but when I do they're usually done right and this one is no exception, that 427 cammer is old school cool.

Actually the Duall Quad version of the FORD 427 CAMMER was 657 HP ! the single 4 barrel version was only 616 HP LOL !.
@@jerryparks6123correct
In 1964 back in NC my friends Dad ordered direct from Ford an actual race ready 64 Ford Custom. 4 door, bench seat, 4 speed, 427 2 4bbl carbs built by Holman Moody. Single traction rear built for the track. We lived 20 miles away from the new Charlotte World 600 speedway. This car could lay rubber for a hundred yards. Hell that’s what excited us 14 year old boys back in those days.
Don’t know what they ever did with the car but they were huge race fans. Probably donated it but what an experience to ride in it an a young teen!!!
Holy crap, the attention to detail on this car is absolutely ridiculous. The metal work is beyond gorgeous, to use pressed steel to box out the underside of the hood to make it look stock is nothing short of amazing. This man spent a ridiculous amount of time and money on this build and it shows. I would love to see this car in person. 🇺🇸💪🏼
It’s such an incredible build. The video could’ve been twice as long and still not show everything Bob did on it
@@AutotopiaLA i would watch a 2 hour video on this car. I absolutely love the attention to detail Thank You for this video
@@turbotonye-4124 I'd like to know & see the engine build video
Beautiful Car. ❤
Agreed
Seen this car in person and it is perfection. Never seen such craftsmanship from everyone who contributed. Truly an amazing ride !

One of the nicest galaxies I've ever seen for sure. It's perfection.
You know those guys that usually say "I did all the work myself" never really go into detail like this guy did. He's in love with his car and I think that's amazing
Bob had his hands in a lot of this and no detail left out. He’s such a cool guy and this car is amazing
This car couldn't be more perfect. I love the old full bodied ford's, the Galaxy when done right was aggressive professionalism....like buster Douglas in a 5,000 dollar suit and tie.
This motor is ahead of its time
Man just incredible. Always loved the cammers! Can you imagine if they would've allowed them to race even just one Nascar season?
It would've been epic.
In 1964 Ford really hit one out of the ballpark with the Galaxie and Fairlane. The lines, taillights, and portions of those cars are perfect. I want to see some build a '64 Mercury Comet with the 427 in it.
Know a couple of peeps with a 427 in a comet in the FE community
Absolutely spot on. Perfect build. I’d love to hear this and Pure Vision’s ‘Black Ops’ Fairlane making some noise together.

Love seeing these old Galaxies getting some love! This is such a clean build that keeps those old lines and looks fucking beautiful! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
I have a whole new appreciation for the Galaxie after seeing this one. And damn if it doesn't sound as great as it looks!
A real 427 Cammer! Thats one rare piece of history. Bolted to our Engine stand in our shop we have an original, iron block, machined, stress relieved, balanced and blueprinted, fully built, side oiler 427 Cammer. With the 10/71 High Helix Hampton Blower and 2X 800 CFM Chokeless Carbs and 8 to 1 compression it produces 1200 horsepower. Its a Beast.
That is a great color combo and it sounds way better than I would think something with a 6 foot timing chain would sound.
It's probably gear timing
The Galaxies style looks to the Fords answer to the Chevy Impala I for one love the Galaxie.
Beautiful car! I really appreciate how you kept it relatively stock appearing. I cringe when I see cars like that all cut and chopped up for custom lights etc. Sounds awesome! I'm the same year as that car and it's in much better condition than I am lol. Love those 60s cars
Great car - love old school rides like this.
Love this galaxie. 61 is my favorite year with the 63 - 65 years coming in right behind. If this were mine I'd have a permanent smile on my face.
It’s such a perfect build
Friday and you Dropped this Ford!!!! Hell yes
Just WOW. That is an insane Galaxie.
Always like this style of galaxy
I saw this car at the Good Guys Car Show in Del Mar this year, and it’s amazing. The fit/finish/detail is beautiful, and that motor is what Ford should have put in that car in ‘63. A must see if you love performance Fords from the 60’s!
That's something you don't see every....ever
With a cammer ..well built Gal 4sure
This is a thing of beauty and fire breathing elegance. I remember riding in a few as a kid in the back seat while trying to guess the make, model, year, etc., of every car we saw along our road trips with our parents. Fun times. This is a tremendous build and story.
Of all the vehicles featured on AutopiaLA, this is the one I'd want to own. It's absolutely prefect. The colour, the stance, the powertrain, it just works. IMHO, there is no better looking full sized domestic coupe from the 60's era than the '64 Galaxy 500. The interior and exterior just work together. It isn't a WOW car, it's THE WOW car!
What an amazing build! An awesome level of detailing. My love for these cars is very personal, as I've loved me some Galaxies since I was sixteen years old, when I got to drive my mom's four door, Wimbledon White, 1965 Galaxie 500, with a 289 and automatic. Thanks for this and all your other excellent and very enjoyable videos!
Glad you like what we do here and thanks for the comment. This is such an incredible build they did
I got a reply from you, then you go and film one of my dream cars. Thanking my dad for that. Badass dude 🙌
Bobs car collection looks absolutely amazing.
It is. Him and his son Kent have a lot of amazing rides
I’ve always loved Galaxies. This car further reaffirms whats to like about these boats: so much style it’s like a brawler in a tuxedo.
These are my all time favorite Ford cars. I remember having them as model car kits when I was a young kid I was born in 1964 and my dad raced dirt track and these were always around. Wish I could afford to buy one now. Beautiful car!
I love how everything on that car is done so subtle, yet so cool.
What a car!! So many neat touches. The side molding matching the wheels! Beautifully done!! What else does bob have to show off!!
I agree!!!

Love it! You can see the thing riding low on one side while accelerating. You think he’s got a weak spring or a big butt until he lets off then it levels out. It’s not riding on soft drag spring, it’s just got TORQUE! I consider this to be the perfect level of high end build. It’s no Ring Bros build but guys like that take it too far, suck the souls out of the car. They basically reskin a new car. This one is still what it was, just improved. Best kind of build.
💯
Ring Brother's absolutely destroy classic cars with their ridiculous "modern" changes. For example: Who the hell wants a gorgeous '69 Camaro with a modern vinyl dash, modern gauge cluster, and steering wheel. It looks HORRIBLE. It's a downright sin. The car I'm speaking of was featured on Jay Leno's Garage a few yrs back. The interior looked like total SH*T.
And they'd probably thrown an ls motor in it.
The Ring bros AMC Javelin is a thing of beauty. 🤌
@@howabouthetruth2157 there are markets for that. we're not that market and thats ok. they love what they do and everyone has different tastes
I always used to draw the Thunder Bird 427 logo on my book covers in 1965 with my Harbour Surfboard stickers as well. At 73 still driving a little Hot Rod Ford. Awesome video. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺🍺🍺
It's a shame Ford never put any version of the 427 in THUNDERBIRDS!
I love the minimalistic design of this Ford. Stunning car, beautiful sound too.
I was a child of the 60's muscle car era and I Loved the Ford Galaxie XL. Everything about this build is so beautiful. The leather interior dyed to match the original along with the air ride stance makes for one amazing car. The exclamation point was the rare engine.
One of your better videos.
I love this car! Everything they did was on point and topped off with that glorious engine
I love this one !!!!!!!
Nice nice Autotopia!!!!!
That's an amazing car... The the detail is incredible , and it's still holding the classic stock look of the Galaxy 500. Even your modifications , witch are awesome 👍,didn't take anything away from the authentic look . Great Build up, and it's just a Beautiful 500 .🇺🇲
Now this is what people on this channel wanna see, beautiful
Ok this man has an eye for building OE plus cars.
My neighbor's mom bought a 64 Galaxie 500 new. Hers was red on red with a 352 automatic on the column. These are great looking cars. This one is fantastic.
One of your best cars so far. i was a kid in the late sixty's and a man down the road had a light blue one he was working on a lot and i would ride my bike to his house and check out what he was doing. it had a big block fe motor and a four speed with glass packs and it sounded good. he was a ford mechanic and later i became a ford mechanic but i never got my Galaxie 500 maybe one day.
One of my favorite cars on the channel. It has it all. Just the right amount of horsepower.
This is by far the most beautiful Galaxy I’ve ever seen, & frankly one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever see; period. Wow.
My first car was a 64 galaxy xl with a 390 police interceptor 4 barrel automatic . Was way more car than a teenager should of had. Loved driving it every mile. The bucket seats and rear xl design seat are the only change which I think could add to the perfection of this beauty.
Wow man, that car is absolutely flawless. Keeping it old, unique, but relevant in today's modern restoration generation. Plus the Nascar motors are always my favorite.
@Chris Condon The SOHC wasn't a NASCAR engine. NASCAR banned it before Ford could race it,& they also banned the Hemi.
I had a 64 1/2 2-door Galaxy 500 XL with a 428 Police Intercepter out of a South Carolina State Patrol car!! It was a BEAST!!! I can't even imagine driving this one!!!
This is just about the best resurrected 60s car I’ve ever seen, absolutely exquisite!
I love how it has a dual Quad Carter AFB (Edelbrock today). What a comprehensive build.
Badazz......and I have 2 '63's that have been sitting for probably ever bit of 40yrs......inside......wish they were done up like this one......you have one awesome car, sir👍🏻👍🏻
Always love that body style those Fords. I'd be happy to have one with the 390 in it.
The ones with a 289 wasn't bad either. Back in those days Chevy put a 2sp. powerglide behind the 283, the Fords had a 3 sp. auto behind the 289 so it gave it some advantage in the heavier car.
Love this car. I love the Galaxies from the 60s. My 1st car was a 62 coup but the 64 had beautiful lines that make it one of the best.
I got goosebumps from this video. I have been Ford for life and I am 72 now. Blue blood flows through my veins. Awesome Galaxie!
The '64 Galaxie and the '64 Fairlane ,that were the donor cars ,for the T'bolt program ,are without doubt THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND GREATEST FORD'S EVER MADE. AND THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL GALAXIE. THE MOTOR IS JUST ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.
Had me a 65 4 door with the 352 auto in it and it was an absolute tank of a car.......Bought it from my best friends little brother for $300 and I had to replace the brakes lines that rusted out and the frame rusted out under the rear seat floor boards so I took a u-bolt and drilled through the floor and had it come up in front of the rear seat and bolted it back up to the frame .......But besides that the motor and trany ran great and gave me no problems.......Glad I could say I owned one.
Outstanding Bob
Beautiful Galaxy

Factory white

Fuel cell in the trunk
Can't remember what motor or trans it had

It may still be out there somewhere
I loved it
Wasn't this standard for sure
Have dug those Galaxies ever since
Amazing car Bob
My father in law (who's name is also Bob) has a white Galaxy convertible.
It's clean with no damage but not running.
He's rebuilding his 69 Dodge GTX 440 right now but I sent this video to him to give him some inspiration.
Hopefully this world won't destroy itself before he can get to it.
But between starving from our food supply being purposely wrecked and WW3 this is looking pretty bleak.
Fantastic car.
Sad time in our world right now is an understatement at best. Hopefully he gets to the Galaxie and this one gives him some inspiration
@@AutotopiaLA yes it is rough times, which is why its even MORE important to enjoy the things that bring us joy and watching your no nonsense videos is one of those little joys I still have to look forward too.
Galaxie. My autocorrect made me look illiterate by putting galaxy.

Amazing engine sounds!! I love that custom hood, what a view from the drivers seat 👍
Ford original thunderbolt hood scoop
It’s amazing on seeing such a unique quality of wicked ass cars & trucks, superb work
I took pictures of this car at SEMA 2021, very nice.
I come from a ford family and between my dad a two brothers we all had a 64 ford just loved the stile. The 500 xl was the favorite with the bucket seats
Wtf! That’s awesome! The details are incredible! Can’t imagine the rest of collection I am seein in background! New hero right here. Just wow.
I have watch this 4 times already and this is the ultimate 1964 Galaxie Ford as far as I am concerned realy brings back the 1960s that I lived.
I agree! They did such an amazing job with this
Love it! My favorite car has always been the 64 Galaxie, especially in the XL trim! This is an amazing and beautiful 500!! My hats off to you!!!
That’s one good looking and sounding car
Wow indeed. What an absolute beauty of a car. With the beast of the 427 cammer. Damn.
U said it best, flawless. Sounds really mean. Great exterior color as well!
I love the stance on this ride. 😎And that cammer engine don't hurt one bit 🔥The sounds coming out of the pipes just gives chills up my spine. Awesome car 😎 😎
One of my auto heroes had a pole building with a sea of Galaxies in varying condition, all 63 1/2 convertible four speeds. It was his favorite car,,,,,,the sound reminds me of a Donzi Baby my dad had with the 289 race engine, what a sound the Ford race engines make!! Glorious horsepower, just dynamite!! thanks,
I think keeping it stock looking is far sexier than having it chopped up to customise it, a true work of art and beauty not to say how beautiful it sounds. Those exhaust notes are music to the ears.
Amazing car. Just gorgeous. And not completely overdone like so many other custom cars.
So many subtle details. I love the trunk stickers. If you pause the video and read them it’s a guaranteed laugh!
@@AutotopiaLA HAHAHA yes that's awesome. For me this car has to be at the top of most beautiful, tasteful cars you've had and how I'd build a car. I just love it. It's that completely over the top yet somehow subtle kinda mostly "stock" factory look like a Singer Porsche.
What an absolute Beauty. If i could choose between a lamborghini and this, i prefer this.
That engine bay is so clean! And getting that power from two carbs one coil is Awesome!
That engine is rare and a total beast. 635 stock HP!
Amazing Galaxie
It’s beautiful, and what a sound, a true Nascar sound
That vehicle is absolutely beautiful
Fantastic car all around!
Stunning!! My favorite Shoebox besides the Cyclone!!
Beautiful build, paint job is incredible and the exhaust note is pure music....

By far my favorite car you've shown thus far what a beast !!!!!
My grandfather had a 64 white w/ red interior 390 ci , this brought back some memories
That’s awesome!
Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Looks stock but wrapped leather, old school legendary big block but wrapped up with a modern frame & drivetrain, 6 gears, modern suspension and it sounds like The Devil getting head from a Megalodon.
Tremendous car. Old school in-your-teeth power and looks. Car sounds great. Looks like a fantastic driver too. Very unique street rod. Be safe and stay well.
Absolute Perfection! Bravo to all involved with this build!
Gawd I LOVE this car! To this day it still has such clean timeless beauty! Kudos for this build!

I love nearly everything about this car, old school cool.
What a Legend! - That car is pure.

Love those Galaxie so clean body lines badass build man very clean
I'll admit, I was never the biggest fan of the Galaxy as I preferred the smaller cars like the Falcon and the Fairlane, but this car has converted me. Absolutely perfect build and I can't think of an area that you didn't nail. The attention to detail and the craftsmanship is incredible! I can only imagine how much fun it is to pilot. That car needs a pilot 😁👌
Perfection. That is the motor of all motors.
Teardrop hood is so cool , Those wheels are perfect for this 500 .. Ford 💪💯... Great episode Shawn, I'm so jealous and in love .
love the hood too and how it was made to look stock. really awesome job by the builder!
My favorite review of all those you have done. I'm not a Ford guy but I'd cross over for this piece of art.
This is such an amazing car. So many details the video could’ve been an hour and still not show everything
I’m loving this galaxie. Always been a favorite car. Finally seeing some aftermarket love.
