Hormone therapy is a complex topic. Methods and treatments are constantly evolving. There are risks and benefits for each theraputic modality. Many therapies are offered "off-label" by providers. It is STRONGLY recommended that people consult with a physician before undertaking Hormone Therapy.
So many issues here. Statement that only low dose of E is needed but no statement of what desired levels are, and the blockers included are out of date and did not include bicalutamide which is used by much of the population. Progesterone is frankly essential in MtF transition, you will not reach tanner 5 without it.
Why there is no reliable study regarding benefits/side effects of Progesterone, it is hard to believe, need impartial, reliable studies backed up by strong data, not anecdotal !
bc trans is a minority and therefore the most studies there are, are for cis-people with conditions. The research just lacks money there unfortunately.
Hello, i got a question, my gf is a trans on transition using hormones, she takes tablets, after taking them with water, will some be left on the mouth that could couase some unwanted changes when i kiss her, in the long term
If she takes the pill, swallows it with water, you have nothing to worry about. You could conceivably get a small amount if you kissed her if she was dissolving it under her tongue, but even that amount shouldn’t affect you to any great extent.
Spiro is a horrible blocker choice and can fuse the breast plate prematurely. I don’t understand why you’re not mentioning Bicalutamide which is far superior to any of the other choices you listed for a blocker. Also Progesterone after a year on hrt taken as a suppository will stop T production and replace all blockers.
Thank you so much for your wonderful advice. 👏
It’s really helpful for me on my road to become feminine 👄
I have to start HRT as soon as possible

How about orchiectomy (testicle removal) as an alternative T-blockers? I wanna go this way. Any thoughts or concerns?
Finasteride only stops the conversion of testosterone to DHT. It doesn't block testosterone itself.
