Greeting to you from Bangladesh Doctor. I’m a Transfem and we legally have no rights in our country. So, we’re using online information for medical help and doing DIY HRT therapy. It would be so much better if you showed us more step by step for transgender minorities who are living in developing countries. I’ve been personally taking bicalon and gynova through my online research. Hope you will continue to make videos regarding feminising HRT cause believe me it helps us a LOT! Love your videos. ❤
Thank you for your comment my friend from Bangladesh. I am sad to hear about your situation in your home country and I can only hope that things will improve over time. Your point is well noted and I will start working on a step-by-step instruction video. That is our goal to educate and inform. all the best and stay strong out there
@@HealingwithHEALORI’ve been taking Bicalutamide 2 times weekly for a month with 2mg estrogen. @@niverahamed8920 twice a week dose is enough as bicalutamide has a very long half-life. Higher dose only increases risk of liver toxicity and is not advisable.
I am also a doctor candidate, but I am only in my 1st grade. I cannot start medical treatment because violence against trans women is common where I live. Should I consume artichokes so that bicalutamide does not harm my liver?
Thank you for your comment. The data on artichokes is very limited when it comes to improving liver function or protecting against liver disease. If you are on bicalutamide you should get regular liver panel to look for any signs of liver inflammation. thank you for your question. Unfortunately, not all providers are comfortable with these medications. If your doctor is not listening to you then you are absolutely right in trying to seek a different opinion.
@@HealingwithHEALOR I recently tried contacting you but the thing sadly in Texas is there any chance you know a local provider here or perphaps a local clinic

Thanks for your comment. That is a difficult question to answer since I do not know how old you are and what your testosterone levels are. The goal is to suppress androgenic production. Once to twice weekly dose is more than enough for most individuals, higher doses cause more liver toxicity without any additional benefits
Thank you for your comment. Most of the data we have comes from men who were treated with prostate cancer with bicalutamide and other LHRH agonists such as lupron. over suppression of androgen is associated with an increased rate of cardiac chest pain and congestive heart failure. This is not surprising since androgens such as testosterone play important role in increasing blood flow to the coronary arteries. Most of the side effects also happened in individuals who were taking bicalutamide 50 mg daily or more in combination with other androgen blockers. if you have cardiac disease or congestive heart failure you should discuss this with your doctor before starting this medication and stay on the lowest possible dose. Once or twice a week dose should be adequate for feminization therapy.
Hiya Doc, I was wondering what are your thoughts on my dose? I inject estradiol V 0.15 every 5 days, I take progesterone every day and I take Bicalutamide 50mg everyday, what should I change? I can't find any good sources! :((
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on dosing as I do not have enough information about your case. Dosing is dependent on your age, estradiol levels, the health of your liver, and also transition goals. Kindly post the requested information in this forum that I regularly monitor, and I will be able to provide a detailed answer. www.healor.com/forum/transgender-care-q-and-a
Thank you for your question. This is more of a general guideline as spironolactone is much more safer medication then bicalutamide in individuals over the age of 35. If your liver tests are normal and you do not drink this can be taken. Best would be to discuss with your doctor
Thank you for your question. Taking 2 anti-androgen is not needed and not recommended. If younger than age 35 bicalutamide is a better medication to help with breast development. I do not recommend taking bicalutamide and Aldactone together. NO added benefit and increased risk of side effects
thank you for your question. Please read this blog on this topic.healor.com/breast-development-in-transgender-women-hormone-therapy. if you still have additional questions after reading the blog. Leave a comment in the blogk itself and I will reply to it
Thank you for your comment. That is a difficult question to answer as it depends on your lifestyle goals, age, and desired feminization results. many of our clients stop Hormone therapy after a few years, we also decrease dosing with age, however, some sort of medication is required lifelong to preserve the effects of transition. we have many interesting blogs on this topic. www.healor.com/blog
Thanks for the question. The dosing is daily when used for prostate cancer however that high dosing is not needed for gender tranistion. please discuss with your doctor
Thanks for the questions. Diane 35 will likely not help hair growth in the crown area. You can try PRP +biotin injection, that only works if you still have some hair follicles in the area. you can also try topical finasteride drops. if nothing works, hair transplant will be the best option
Thanks for your question. progesterone is recommended when on estrogen therapy to reduce estrogen-related side effects. if you are just on bicalutamide, progesterone is not needed.
@@adynathaly3145 the studies have shown that individuals over the age of 35 are more susceptible to liver damage from bicalutamide So it is best to be avoided in this age group
Progesterone does not have that effect. it primarily opposes estrogen. To block testosterone you will need to take anti androgens such as aldactone, bicalutamide, cyproterone acetate.
thanks for the question. Diane 35 contains ethynlestradiol (estrogen) and cyproterone acetate (androgen blocker). Since this is not available in the US, I have no experience using this medication. However, this has been used successfully in other countries. please discuss this with your doctor to see if this is appropriate for your use.
thank you for your comment. Dosing can vary depending on age, underlying liver function, or other medical problems. Your doctor can recommend the best dose based on your age underlying health issues etc. Please read this blog for more detailed information www.healor.com/post/bicalutamide_mtf
That is not something I would recommend considering some serious side effects with this medication. You may be suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome or severe insulin resistance. There may be other issues at play such as underlying autoimmune disorders or thyroid problems. I encourage you to get tested for thyroid problems and autoimmune disorders such as lupus. A safer medication may be topical finasteride however this is not recommended for woman in the reproductive age group. Since I do not know much about your medical problems I am unable to offer you more detailed advise. Highly recommend speaking to your doctor about this
Hi, Thanks for your question. Breast development is primarily influenced by elevated estrogen levels and suppressed testosterone levels. Although progesterone is not needed for breast development we do recommend taking it when on estradiol therapy to prevent some of the negative effects of Estradiol ( mood issues, irritability, sleep problems etc)
