- In this video you can see and hear the brand new 2017 McLaren 720S being driven flat out on the hillclimb during the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017. This beast is powered by a 710 horsepower twin turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine which sounds amazing. Video shows the car doing multiple accelerations, revs, flybys, launches and more!

Seems like McLaren has found its voice after they developed the 675LT. The 720S is now the "personality" from which McLarens will be known for.

675LT sound is way better. 720 sounds like 570S.
Agreed. UA-camr Seen Through Glass (Sam) fitted a Larini GT1 exhaust to his 540C and it sounds even better than a 675LT. Full on race car sound.
NoNegotiations its not LT replacement its 650s replacement and 720s sounds better than 650s

Cai Allen I think this is the type of car that you will slowly fall in love with. I used to hate the exhaust but now that exhaust is just awesome.
It seems that the exhaust design changes for the 570S were good enough to be applied to the 720S as well!

650S and 12C sound waaay better and more unique. Really hate how these new McLarens sound.
Jort Rinket it's relatively cheap (compared to the price of the car) to fit a good aftermarket exhaust and unleash a far better sound. Check out Supercars of London's video of Seen through Glass's 540C fitted with a Larini F1 system. The car sounds incredible.

I know that one but imo 650S with Armytrix exhaust still sounds soo much better.
Not legal anymore, sound control got outlawed in 2016 so they dont realy have a choice. the sound control fitted right now limites the sound to a constant 75 decibels
pretty ugly, the McLaren P1 looks way better.
