I own the vmax for many years and I always wondered what it would be like to own a car that have that kind of speed and I realized that this car is in a whole different level what an amazing machine.

My god ... I'm a racing driver and i could feel his astounishment through the screen! The way the engines rev's , you hear and feel the TC doing it's thing, see the G-forces he felt , and when it grips it fires like a bullet ! Well done top gear for bringing real sensations through the screen! Also , good driving man!
If I owned one of these, I don't think I'd ever sleep. Half the day would be spent hooning around, the other half would be spent drooling over the spectacular body, design, and engineering. I mean look at that steering column!

That is the highest trap speed i ever heard/ seen in the quarter mile, 171 mph,. The rimac does the quarter mile at 167mph, though in a shortet time of 8.5 secs .
They already had rear wings ready from tests but they just didn’t put it on the first production of the model. It’s not like anyone at Top Gear came up with it.

I totally get you. I had the chance to drive a 918 and it accelerated and breaked so fast, it was surreal. After the drive I felt a bit like drunk even tough I had driven some fast cars before.
You're talking about 918, I drove an Audi R8 V10 (first gen with the crappy Rtronic) and I consistently did 280 kmh on the track's straight ON MY FIRST ROUNDS. Mind blowing how fast these things are!
That was awesome, can't wait for the timed lap. It's rare that you get to "share" the emotion with a driver just by watching a video but Ollie did a fantastic job of making that happen here.

Anyway 1/4 mile time is the least impressive feat about the Eggs, they're just not about drag racing, though still near the top amongst rwd (or at the very top in case of the jesko)

That's not how this transmission works - that's the really impressive thing. There are no actual gear changes. The only moving parts are seven individual clutches.

Not a fan of the carbon fibre look at all tbh but if you slap a nice metallic paint on that monster and it'll be a beautiful car. I'll take two if them 👍🏻😬👍🏻
Obviously, they’ll do literally any paint you can imagine. One dude had a clear coat with this carbon, but speckled it with Diamond dust so it sparkled in the sunlight. The Naraya Agera had a beautiful blue paint job that included gold leaf applied over three weeks by an artisan from Vienna. This car I think features their proprietary “Naked Carbon” setup which is more technically impressive than anything else as it literally is just the carbon. No clear coat, no paint, just the bare carbon with special sauce that makes it as durable as paint.

Absolut did 0-400 in 18.8 seconds. For comparison a Chiron does 0-400 in 32 seconds and a Agera RS does it in 24
Only remaining challenge is the top speed run which should be soon and will probably be over 500km/h.

An injustice was done by not having the 2 Jeskos drag race. You had them at the same time and a whole runway

Customers agree with you. All Jeskos are sold, Rimac could only sell 37 Neveras of planned 150.
I certainly would, much faster on drag and rolling race but also much cheaper and WAY more comfortable everyday drive, it's all down to opinion
@@pr-tj5byyeah fair enough, it’s definitely an “eyes of the beholder” situation. To me, I just feel like this car is alive. A Rimac (or any other EV) is blazing fast for sure, but kinda feels like a computer in my opinion. Doesn’t have a soul like this car does.

@@pr-tj5by True, thats why the Nevera doesnt sell at all. Its like comparing an apple watch to a Patek Philippe. Apple watches just arent cool, so is the Rimac. While every single Jesko was sold out for a long time already. EVs are good from A to B, thats about it

this is completely incorrect you can 100% change gears while spinning if you know how to drive coming from a drag car and track car driver

That's not how this transmission works - that's the really impressive thing. There are no actual gear changes. The only moving parts are seven individual clutches.

Not a fan of the carbon fibre look at all tbh but if you slap a nice metallic paint on that monster and it'll be a beautiful car.

Obviously, they’ll do literally any paint you can imagine. One dude had a clear coat with this carbon, but speckled it with Diamond dust so it sparkled in the sunlight. The Naraya Agera had a beautiful blue paint job that included gold leaf applied over three weeks by an artisan from Vienna.
This car I think features their proprietary “Naked Carbon” setup which is more technically impressive than anything else as it literally is just the carbon. No clear coat, no paint, just the bare carbon with special sauce that makes it as durable as paint.

"No one drives them hard"? Really? Eggs are far more daily drivable than most other supercars, and their owners usually drive the PISS out of them. Have you ever seen a standing mile competition in Texas? Or any airstrip meet from Europe?

Only some do. I've talked to some Egg owners. If you don't drive it hard the car will not be good to you and will have loads of problems.
The readout on the dashboard tilts as you turn the steering wheel so you can still read it while cornering, that is a cool feature!
