A port that has had problems ever since it was released for PC, we had a couple of problems where JagOfTroy had to get kicked and rejoin in order to play properly except for one boss fight where Spazbo4 had to finish it by himself and have JagOfTroy join in after it before the final boss fight
The game is a lot easier when played with 2 players because you can give eachother gleam which gives you more damage and you can split your health and revive the other player when they are down
At the end after the credits we fight each other to see who gets the girl and then after that I show the concept art for the game -

Double Dragon Neon is a 2012 video game in the Double Dragon series of beat 'em up games. It was developed by WayForward Technologies and published by Majesco Entertainment, and it is the reboot of the Double Dragon series. It was the first game in the series where Million, the previous owner of the Double Dragon series after Technos Japan became defunct, had on involvement in its development. Arc System Works bought the series rights in 2015 along with all intellectual properties of Technos Japan.
For potential buyers, dont let the slow gameplay deceive you. Each hit you land, each succesful dodge, each air combo you pull up (hard to make btw), is wonderfully done!.
purchasing upgrades and stuff make playing it over and over still interesting. 200% more enjoyable in co-op.

yeah. It's one of the few decent beat em up left, not only you can perform decent combos like a normal fighting game, but it was also in 3D.
They should be making a DOUBLE DRAGON NEON 2!!!
This is 10 times better than Double Dragon IV that released in 2017.

Go with River City Girls. It is somewhat a spiritual successor of DD Neon. I think that Meriam will even be playable in RCG2 or 0.

My buddy and I beat this game so many times. This truly is my favorite arcade beatem up ever. It had good controls and modern graphics. It probably had the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a video game, and it had some funny parts.

I think that was a nod to the mistake they made in Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stones in the story that would play either if you didn't start the game or at the beginning it said Bimmy and Jimmy Lee lol

You can tackle it in parts. Not like SoR4 Arcade mode, an hour and 45 minute or so romp all at once.

I always thought the villain was a take on the Shadow Master and the shadow kahn but now not so much as he looks too much like skeletor from He Man and the Masters of the Universe and even has the annoying Skeletor voice from the 80s cartoon, sounds identical, no joke.
Skullmageddon and the 80's Skeletor voice sold me on the game. :)

The moment P2 went near final boss... and he would be beaten and get out of the way. Or Boss flew to other side when he reached there.
Looks more playable than the original to be honest.

I really enjoyed this... was it perfect? No. But in my opinion..it was better than every other Double Dragon game after #2.
For the most part, I agree with that. Double Dragon 3 wasn't that good of a game. They redeemed themselves when they designed Double Dragon 4.

I might catch some heat for this, but this is better than the demo of the new Streets of Rage 4.
This may very well be sort of slow, plodding along at times, but the new SOR isn't as good(remember I am only referring the demo, final product may or may not be better) as the Streets of Rage Remake. Neon has a unique feel to it, and while I would love to see a DD game modeled after Final Fight Streetwise, I like Neon. I wish Capcom would get back into the side scrolling 2-D beat 'em ups again. They could do no wrong back in the 90's and 2000's.
And for a challenge, Try Super Double Dragon on the SNES. Not the Japanese one mind you, the US version. For extra challenge, don't use your special bar for hurricane kicks and whatnot.
That game made me grit my teeth so hard I was picking enamel off my eyelids after I was finished.
We have no idea yet what SOR 4 will end up like.

@@pferreira1983 Aye, I concur. And that being said, this version seems like a 2 remaster, with paint style graphics. Which isn't a improvement, as the second SOR wasn't as good as the third. Let's hope they implement somethings before the final version is released, else it's gonna be barebones and quite boring.

Great game. But its a crime to see the brand on pc.
How is that a crime? Especially considering that back in the 80's and early 90's the Double Dragon's (at least up to part 3) were ported to PC (and every other computer from the Amiga to the ZX Spectrum)? I mean, why wouldn't you port your games to the one and only proper gaming platform?
@@melaniel.4269 dont take offence at the comment. Or I hope you havent. Yes I know about the ports in the day as well as other arcade titles such as SF2. But that doesnt mean it looks right or is suitable to the respective platform. You can play some mobile games now on consoles......that dont always look the part or translate as well away from its intended platform hence it can be a crime. Its not a case of this platform should have and another shouldnt, just it should be played in its rightful place.
You dont play sonic1 on pc over playing it on say a megadrive. Hope you get where and what im trying to say. Edit.... I wouldnt call pc the "proper" platform its a open environment for multi purpose operations. A console IS the definition of gaming. Its very purpose is games first. A pc is not aimed at such a singular task.
@@eddiebrock118 Why wouldn't i play Sonic on the PC? Again, even the Sonic games were ported to the PC back in the Day and why wouldn't i chose the PC with a proper Emulator and all its benefits (Mods, Savestates, Filters, better audio because there are only about 3 revisions of the Mega Drive that have adequate sound chips) over the Mega Drive? For the real feel, i just got the recently released 8bitdo 6 Button MD Gamepad for the PC even.
Mods especially are a great thing. Can you play as Knuckles in Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive? Nope. But you can on the PC.
I do own about 21 consoles and about 1500 games total but i rarely use those machines anymore because the PC is simply a hell of a lot better and more convenient.
And yes, the PC is the ultimate gaming platform, because it can emulate everything. Arcade games? No Problem. Computer games? No Problem. Console games? Also not a problem. You have several hundred thousand games at your disposal. So yes, that easily makes it way better than those crappy consoles of today.
And there is no "This game doesn't belong on this machine". If anything, that's more of a console thing to say because to this day i wonder how certain games, like XCOM or Cities Skylines are actually fun on consoles with those crappy, limited gamepad controls...

Why did sonic take so long to hit pc? Why is it that the marketing on games is aimed at console gamers and not pc? Explain why you get broken ports?? Explain why everyone is watching ps or xbox or nintendo year in and year out?? Who are the "big three?" exactly.

1) I never said you cant play on pc or sonic couldnt be played on pc.
2)mods dont make a game better. Gta5 is a great example.
3) a pc is not designed with one singular task of playing games. Any pc gamer knows this. Again this does not make it the "ultimate platform."
If power and freedom to mess with games or tech options is your bag...then great for you. But doesnt make it the ultimate for so many reasons not just for me but for many others. Problem with pc gamers is they think they are above all but the reality is you're not anything special, so you can read fb and play games but you still miss out on great games such as Rdr or any sony exclusive as well as some nintedo and sega for that matter. Also you have to deal with online cheating in mp. The list goes on. So please dont tell me about the ultimate until pc is the main stay and holds the market its nothing but another platform oh a open platform that is. Notice who hacks the psn or the xbox live!!! And take note that emulators arent the real article just a copy. Also emulators dont give the best experience. Things like music or glitches that arent exactly to the orignal. Oh as for knuckles on sonic1 whats the point being made other than you can tamper with a game. Pc nerds always want to be in the circle. Lol. Take it eZ and enjoy your pc.

Slow, full of useless/needless characters comments/dialogs, and lots of unused movements... music quality is good. It is a shame, this is a classic, they just needed to spice the old one up.
