I’m a Philodendron lover myself and they do make me smile a lot… the magnificent colors of leaves, the texture, how fast they are growing, etc…. They’re just awesome! Love your collections, too!
tbh, living with the verucosum for a bit more than a year now I think the Philodendron Verrucosum is just a diva and genuinely wants to make you cry. Mind you, mine did good outdoors in the summer with tons of rain and right next to a pond. it really like the dappled shade from the big trees around and it was fairly resistant when it came to slugs (while the monsteras I had outside got almost completely eaten in a few days). It just needs more humidity and and if it doesn't get that, it'll throw a fit and get spidermites. the only good thing is that the leaves don'T get stuck inside the cataphyll like with other philodendron (looking at you melanochrysum)
ugh well maybe that's just what it's going to be with mine. It's living in my ikea cabinet but maybe the humidity isn't high enough. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who experiences issues with them though
Definitely show off your Alocasia collection next! Your alocasia bulb videos helped me propagate my own alocasias and now I have a ton of rooted bulbs and 2 are currently pushing out leaves. Unfortunately, I didn’t label any of them so it will be a surprise seeing what each one is when the leaves unfurl. Love the content, keep it up!
ah yay! I'm so glad my bulb video helped you! Love the mixed bag alocasia bulb vibe. I've got a pot at the moment and it's so much fun getting a mystery each time!
This is my first video to watch of yours and YAY! Love your Philo collection 😍 They are my favorite plant. I can't wait now to go through some of your older videos:)
I'm in the states, when my philodendron grow like your 2ed pink princess I put mine outside in a shaded area when the weather is worm and give them fish fertilizer. It stinks so you wouldn't want to use it in your home, but it will help if you are able to do so for the next growing season. The leaves will get huge, I totally promise ✌️💚😊
@@RoseR7997 I would love to give that a go but 1) the UK is pretty cool most of the year and 2) I've not got any outdoor space. I do appreciate the advice though! Will be saved for another time when I can do that :)
The Melanochrysum is so beautiful, I love that texture of the leaves with the dark colour! I got a baby pink princess today as a late birthday gift (for 12,99€, I live in Germany and I just got it spontaneously but I think the price is pretty alright), my other Philodendron are not that "special", they are a Philo Birkin (mine doesn't look exactly as great as yours, I had to regrow the whole root system after root rot, now it's in Pon and doing (hopefully) fine), a baby Rojo Kongo and a baby Brasil.
Yes the melano is defo one of my faves! Happy belated birthday! What a brilliant birthday gift! Also props to you for saving you birkin from root rot! That's a feat!
What happend to the Phil. Silver Sword Baby Plant you bought? I looked forward to see it again in that Video, because some days ago I also got one of these little beauties and hoped to see how it has grewn in your home :D
@@sherryporsch9349 or Lucia from Lulu‘s Leaves, actually heard it from many plant enthusiasts and experts but if there‘s proof that’s a thing I‘m happy to know about it :)
I really want a triple crown I have a white princess but I need to get a white night and wizard and once I get those I’m sure I’ll extend my Collection to try and get a whole royal court because I can’t help myself I love the royal plants
There's a lady name Kalee Ellen who has video about what to do for plants with unstable varigations. I'm not an plant expert but she really knows her stuff.
Oh no! I totally understand your hesitation! Maybe you could get a young one or cutting and grow it from there, then it's less expensive if it decides to unalive too
Brasil is a self heading Philodendron. It's not going to climb. They're not supposed to get taller than 3-4 feet . Brandi is a trailer like the heart leaf philos. It won't get thick stems. So beautiful 🥰 Trim your pink princess back to the last variagated leaf. It'll put up more , it's trying to revert. Fat boy is called fat boy because of the fat petioles. I love it. I want one so bad 😍 I'm such a philodendron junkie. I've got only 30 plants but I think 10 are Philodendrons so far !
Won't the brasil climb in the same way the micans or heart leaf would? I've tried trimming back my ppp, but it just doesn't help. Philodendron are amazing plants so I'm not surprised you love them :) and thanks for the advice!
@@GoodGrowing I don't own the PPP. I think Kaylee Ellen has some good information on the reverting aroids . She's very informative . All I know is second hand but I think they're reliable sources.

Ooooh! White Princess is definitely a wishlist plant for me, what a cool philodendron 🤍 Would love to see monsteras next!
I forget, are you UK based? I can send you a cutting when I chop it! And cool I'll bump monsteras to the top of the list :)
