My scindapsus are finally growing 🙌. Started off in 2in pots..now it's in a 4in pot. I've moved it around the house.. it loves the bathroom.. indirect light and moisture! Looking a larger one in a 8in pot...sometimes it takes time to figure them out! Beautiful plants!!!
Love you energy always trying to be light and goofy. Feeling that "self plant ban no seeking out situation" I've been trying to limit what and when I have been buy plants. Currently I've grounded my self to try and readjust my finances.
Hehe yeah being goofy just makes life more fun! Yeah plants are such an addiction especially since there's so many different types. Good luck with your plant ban!!
I love this one, I just bought me one I can’t wait to see it grow longer so I can create a moss pole for it to climb onto. I love to see it cascade on a counter too. My favorite house plants are the climbing ones. If there’s no space it can be hinged or let it climb onto a pole somewhere in any room.
thanks for explaining that Exotica is also called Trebie. I was so confused when I first heard this. Seems like it’s an outdated European name for Exotica. Haven’t heard it in a couple years.
I'm a new plant dad & just found your channel. Been binging on some of your vids & they are informative & you're so fun to watch. Thank you. I'll be back
I love Scindapsus too! But I’ve had the most trouble with understanding the water and light needs. They keep getting root rot! The one doing the best is my dark form, which I have in a cloche. Those are definitely slow growers. Mine only has 3 leaves and it’s going to be a long time before it looks like yours! Granted, I did air layer and then trade with the prop. Lovely collection!!
@@janeth3008 I've tried waiting a little longer between waterings and that's what seems to cause the root rot. I've tried making the soil a bit more airy, I've tried east and west facing spots (my only options) but they still don't look very happy and constantly have crispy tips and yellowing leaves. 😕
@@janeth3008 all of my plants are in plastic nursery pots and cache pots so I can feel the weight of the plant and easily remove to water at the sink to drain.
I've got a video on how I care for all my scindapsus plants... it's from a while ago but I still pretty much care for things the same way. If they're getting dry and crispy it could be a humidity issue. and that would explain why the one in the cloche is doing better. What's the humidity like in your home?
Just found your channel and wut?! Where have you been the past few years?! How have I not found this channel 😭 Now I can bingeeeee watch some planty content 🤪💚💚💚🪴🪴🪴
I too love all Scindapsus! My first Scindapsus was also the Argyraeus, i have since aquired the moonlight, Exotica, and Silvery Anne. I would love to own Jade and the silver hero one day. I would also like to see an update on your babies to see how they are doing. I love your content, you give some very good information on some of your plants. Thank you and like I said would love to see an update. Thank you.
I just started my obsession with plants about a year ago. In my collection I have 4 Philodendrons. They seem to like me and I like them. I’d like to see your collection of Philodendrons 😊 .
Oops .. I watched this one twice. I'm going to plant store & now need notes lol You referenced & showed a few"in pond". I'm a new plant dad & learning. Do you have a video on this? Would like to know Why & when to do & How to do I'm so appreciative of what you do , you're so fun to watch. Thank you
Nice! Get those scindapsus! So what I use is called pon from a company called lechuza. I have an IGTV on instagram about converting specifically my exotica to it and I talk more about what it is. I should make a proper youtube video of it though :)
Me and scindapsus just don’t mix. I’ve killed so many argyraeus. When I repot it, it must go into shock or something because it just gets root rot or yellow. I do have a small exotica and one moonlight doing good, thank goodness. Lol. I wish I knew why they keep dying on me though 😩
Oh no!! That's no good! I have a video on how I care for my satin pothos... pretty sure it was my first video ever! Have a look if you want some tips :)
@@GoodGrowing Imean at first I thought it was but it looks so different. The leaves look a lot darker on the green parts and they are also more round and chubby lol
very nice! i think i have the giant cousin of that growing will in my backyard. the main trunk is at least 2 inches in diameter. would they be related?
What method do you use to prop these? Every time I try in water everything goes mushy. I have perlite and leca...or should I get moss? Share your ways!
I just got my first Scindapsus!!!! It’s a silver splash and I posted it on my Instagram page (mysticstitches), if you want to see it. Unfortunately, it was lost in the mail for two weeks so I lost about 6 leaves, but I think it’ll be okay… They’re so pretty! I definitely want more of them! Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴
How do you care for your beautiful moonlight plant I have one it is struggling cause I don’t know how to take care of it I have brought about4 different cuttings all died except this last one that’s in my bathroom that have no windows but is no my sink I don’t even know if this last one will survive. How do you grow yours they are beautiful video is very informative to learn from?
I have a video on scindapsus care. It's a bit old, but the care is still the same :) I'd personally move it to a spot with some light as they defo can't live in no light situations.
if you want to promote new leaves, get the Keiki paste (used for orchids) and place on the nodes of your vining plants and it encourages new leaf growth. So if you want to keep the length on ones that aren't very leggy without chopping and propping, try the paste =) it's been working great on my pothos
Yeah I've tried keiki paste before on some plants (mostly philodendrons and monsteras) I also put some on my scindapsus treubii moonlight and it did absolutely nothing 😂I should probably try again at some point though. Thanks for the advice!
love your personality. your facial expressions are just wonderfully fun. of course the content is what inspired the whole thing

I think your silvery anne should've called as the true moon scindapsus, cause the leaves really looks like a moon surface 😁😁

Yess I love the officinalus too! So gorgeous
That moonlight is soooo pretty!! I love anything moonlight too 😆
Thanks! Right I've collected quite a few 'moon' plants, the scindapsus, the sansevieria, and a syngonium 😂

The second one is not exotica :/
what is it then?
I’m getting one today and they called it silver queen. Exotica is lighter.
