Love that you keep each plant name visible on the screen as you talk about them... instead of quickly flashing it up! 🎉 Not everybody's brain works, so quickly. So thank you 🙏🥰 x
It's weird how one day I wasn't that interested by hoyas, and now all of a sudden within the last month I've really been finding myself researching them and getting the bug to add some to my collection! I really like the linearis
Perfect timing for this video! I recently became a plant mom and Hoyas didn’t really speak to me until this weekend when I saw the most beautiful one at the nursery. I’m obsessed and want to dive in the exciting world of Hoyas
Lovely collection 😍 I'm glad the kastbergii has rooted 💚 couple hoyas I would recommend from my personal collection: Callistophylla - easy and cool veins Mindorensis Dark Red - blooms are very interesting Sunrise - fast grower and sunstresses beautifully Benvergarai - cool blooms and gorgeous red to purple sunstress Rotundiflora - unusual leaf shape Little tip - try sunstressing your Rebecca, it's gorgeous 😍 🤞🏻 Greetings from Scotland 💚🌱
Hello Emma, thanks for showing your hoya collection. I only have a couple right now. One of which thanks to you I have the proper name for it. A purple leaf came up so it is a royal Hawaiian purple pubicalyx. love your content❤👍
Thanks for this, a little different from a tour 😊 It was nice to see you more happy/excited as you went further up on the list Hoyas you might like (Ill keep it short) - Hoya Caudata Sumatra or Hoya Flaggelata (darker leaves, easy to bloom, cute fuzzy flowers) - Hoya Scortechinii (another one with galaxy splash) - Hoya Pubicalyx pink silver ghost (a fully silver one to add to your mixed pot) - Hoya Calycina (super soft and irresistibly pettable) - Hoya Pulchra (in my eyes just perfect) - Hoya Peltata (cutest tiny round leaves)
Beautiful collection, thank you for sharing 💕💕 a few recommendations from my collection: hoya clemensiorum (fuzzy, prehistoric looking) Hoya stenakei (long chunky glossy leaves with very fine hairs, large purple blooms) Hoya benchaii (lime green, very thick and smooth leaves, sun stresses red with cute button blooms) My favorite is hoya flagellata, it was my first to bloom. The leaves are rough and fuzzy, even the blooms are fuzzy! The blooms are short lived but once it blooms it will continue to reliably bloom
Loving all of your Hoyas. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏💚🌱 I absolutely have found the same. It takes a good 2-3 years for my Hoyas to really take off ✨
I would recommend a finlaysonii ‘chicken farm’! I love the textures/veining of the leaves. I also love polyneura and recently got the outer variegated poly, it is gorgeous!
The Hoya Krimson princess was my first Hoya too 😄💚 So I am starting to branch out to more smaller leafed Hoya but my heart is with the large leafed babies. I was staring at your Obovata and Parasitica Big leaf splash for most of the video 😂 The top 5 in my collection probably would be my Hoya Latifolia Sarawak, My Dinner Plate Hoya, Hoya Elephant, Hoya Ganung Gading (not a huge leaf but it's different) and my Hoya Latifolia Snow Queen, I think you'd like that one. I'm starting to love a really tiny leaf too so I love my heushkeliana Variegated and non variegated, Hoya bella lida bois, and the Hoya picta ❤❤
yeah those two really are showstoppers!! and I've always wanted a dinner plat hoya! I just love how huge they are!! and the leaves on the snow queen 😍 I'm obsessed!!
Beautiful Hoyas!! I have a couple on my wish list that I think you would like and are different from what you showed.. the Hoya pachyclada and the Hoya chinghungensis…also since you love the polyneura you got to add the polyneura albomarginata
Emma I think hoya kaimuki would be right up your alley! The blooms are huge and stunning, and the leaves are a beautiful dark green. One of my favorites. I also think you'd be into coriacea silver. It's stunning and having a real moment in canada these days! Oh and silver dollar... I could keep going for ever I think lol
Your nails are so cool, love them!!! 😈 Ive had plants since the 70's, but started collecting Hoyas around 2019, so addicting, just recieved my 35th!!! Lol, i swear thats it...😉🌱🍃💚I'm constantly propagating, guess i better start sharing them. Great collection you have, and love your channel! One of my newest is a cross of Krinkle 8/Krimson Queen, called Suzy Q, really cute😍💚 i see why your #1 is the winner, gorgeous!!! 🤗💚🌱🍃
naw thanks!! and yeah hoyas are suuuuper addicting! and because you can get them small and they're a bit slower growing, it's really easy to amass LOADS!!
I now have to add almost all these to my wishlist 😄 I’m also into the silvery splashy leaves. The Nova Ghost and the Krohniana Super Silver are my favourites. I currently only have one Hoya and it was sold to me as a pubicalyx silver pink but the leaves are different… The original plant I got had the typical longer, narrower leaves but I took cuttings of it to grow in LECA and they have been more the shape of a carnosa. It’s so strange!
If you ever get a chance you should try crossing #16 with the krinkle 8... I would love to see the possible results. Oh, and also each of those with the smallest leaf variety and largest leaf variety you have access to.
@ I ordered a Matilde splash, parasitica splash, sipitangensis and brevialata. I enjoy the small leaves ones but also the thick ones. I am so excited! I also have nummalaroides, two of them, on the way.
I finally got a proper Wilbur Graves cutting the other day, I'm so happy! Finally found a good deal on a highly variegated piece, and the girl sent 2 cuttings instead of one 😊 I had tried buying one before but I got scammed it was just a splashy pubicalyx or something, it didn't look the way I wanted. Gave it to my little cousin. Oo I need that Parviflora splash, been on my wish list but i need to move it to the top now that I got a Wilbur graves.
I have a new (to me) variety of carnosa called wat doi tuong and it’s super cool! The leaves are not splashy at all. But… the front of the leaves are super glossy and the backs are a little velvety, and it’s been growing really fast for me
@GoodGrowing well yes and no 😁 I look at blooms first, leaves second. But figured I prefer longer leaf strappyones but can't say no to silver or splashy ones either 😅 I'm fairly new so don't have many yet
That one is Verticillata Black Margin with the abs spade like. The other is the splash version. The Hoya Serpens is a cute one looks like snake heads. That one didn’t do well for me think needs alot of humidity and doesn’t ship well like the Hoya Heuschkelian one aswell. I do want to try the Serpens again. The Mathilde is more easier care i just got the splash version which is so pretty. I love the Hoya Globulsa and the fuzzy bottom leaves. I have the Hoya Cao Dang which you would love too. The Nova Ghost is thought is supposed to be more silvery leaves. The Wilbur Graves on a hunt for still. Maybe we can do a swap with one of my Hoya when you visit Dublin. My other Hoya’s i still want is Obovata splash and the variegated one too. Also Kerri Splash.
hmm interesting you say that because neither of them actually had black margins so idk what's going on there 🤷♀️ I've also struggled a bit with serpens before but these ones are finally doing well 🙌
Surprised you don't have a clemensorium. Nice princess, though. I have to trim off green leaves on mine all the time which I am sure slows down the growth.
Très intéressant! Dommage que nous ne puissions pas avoir la traduction en français. J’aime bien comment vous les présenter, c’est rafraîchissant! Merci.

of course! glad it helped 😉
It's weird how one day I wasn't that interested by hoyas, and now all of a sudden within the last month I've really been finding myself researching them and getting the bug to add some to my collection! I really like the linearis
that was me back in 2022! I got soooo many that year! They're just so fun! Glad you're getting into them too!
The pot you’ve got your Obovata Splash in 😍 she was absolutely meant to be in that pot!
I love your whole collection! Every single Hoya, including the ones at the bottom of your list. 😄 Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I heard nick pileggi say “first year they sleep, second year they creep & third year they leap” referring to Hoyas. 😊 I love your collection!
Ooooh that’s 100% my experience with them too!
Perfect timing for this video! I recently became a plant mom and Hoyas didn’t really speak to me until this weekend when I saw the most beautiful one at the nursery. I’m obsessed and want to dive in the exciting world of Hoyas
omg yay that's super exciting! which one did you get as your first?
@@GoodGrowing I got the Hoya carnosa princess tri color wow she is absolutely stunning
Lovely collection 😍 I'm glad the kastbergii has rooted 💚 couple hoyas I would recommend from my personal collection:
Callistophylla - easy and cool veins
Mindorensis Dark Red - blooms are very interesting
Sunrise - fast grower and sunstresses beautifully
Benvergarai - cool blooms and gorgeous red to purple sunstress
Rotundiflora - unusual leaf shape
Little tip - try sunstressing your Rebecca, it's gorgeous 😍 🤞🏻 Greetings from Scotland 💚🌱
oooh will have to check out those suggestions! thanks!
Fun coincidence: you got your first Hoya a krimson princess in September 2019 and I got my first Hoya a krimson queen also in September 2019 😊❤
The fact that you know this is rad. Thank you, memory sensei

ooh okay thanks for those IDs

@ Neither am I 😂
Happy to see some love for the retusa. It doesnt seem to be a popular one which is a bummer
it's only just appeared in shops in the UK this year so maybe it just needs more time?
Here for the hoya content! Love it! 🌿💕
Yup yup yup
the pubicalyx hawaiian purple is such a gothic beauty.. went straight onto the wishlist :D
100% 🖤
The carii is so beautiful!! Would love to hear your updated care tips since you feel like you've figured them out! 😊
ooh yeah I can defo make one of those! thanks for the suggestion!
I love that you have a cover pot that exactly matches your H. obovata 😁 This was quite a project--thanks for all your hard work!
omg right!! that pot is so perfect! glad you enjoyed 🥰
12:46 I would check the roots. Mathilde grows like a weed here. Even the Mathilde splash 😊
💚💚💚💚i looove hoya so much!!! 100% my favorite genus🤤
yeah there's so many gorgeous ones out there!
6:15 I did NOT know you can taste Hoya bloom sap it just never occurred to me 🤯 Looks like I’ll be having a little taste the next time my Hoya blooms!
Please, tell us everything. Refer back to this particular video please. I’ll be disappointed if you don’t.
😚
I lick all of them when they come up, especially the ones with nectar drops 😜

oooh I'd love to cross pollinate hoyas! don't have the slightest clue how though! something to research for the future 🤔
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous collections of Hoyas. Hoya Chelsea you’ll ❤blessing to you 🙏🏽
ooooh will have to check that out! thanks for the rec
I love your necklace! Thanks for the list!! Ordering some Hoyas now.
thanks!! enjoy your new hoyas! Which ones did you go for?

hehe sounds like you like those crusty, reptilian ones?
@GoodGrowing well yes and no 😁 I look at blooms first, leaves second. But figured I prefer longer leaf strappyones but can't say no to silver or splashy ones either 😅 I'm fairly new so don't have many yet

Maybe add a hoya kroniana eskimo ? Very sweet with the small teardrop shaped leaves with splash 🥰
that's the same as the super silver 😉 we just don't use that word
@@GoodGrowing thank you ☺
hoya kerrii nectar: tastes of butterscotch, delicious 😛
Surprised you don't have a clemensorium. Nice princess, though. I have to trim off green leaves on mine all the time which I am sure slows down the growth.
I did until a couple weeks back but it just wasn’t for me 🙃
I kinda like the green bits ☺️
Some suggestions maybe wayetii or Bella?
Ahh I’d love both of those!
Très intéressant! Dommage que nous ne puissions pas avoir la traduction en français. J’aime bien comment vous les présenter, c’est rafraîchissant! Merci.
Linearis has white blooms,do you have the correct picture🤔
ah I forgot to swap the picture from the last one 🙃
Why now in late 2024 are so many plant channels into Hoyas? Got tired of Aroids?😂
I've been into hoyas since 2022 🤷♀️ but I also still love my aroids!
❤❤❤
Your Rosita is giant! Why not chop her & create a slimmer version of her, share or swap the props..💚🪴
yeah she is pretty huge! That's actually not a bad shout! Thanks for the idea!
@ your Parasitica Big leaf splash is amazing too, I want one!🪴💚
Awwwwe shnap.
11:06 What plant is that to the right of the cabinet? The very light one.
that's a snow queen pothos (aka a highly variegated marble queen) 😉
@ It’s gorgeous 👍😊
