I would say that the reason its WASD is because its the furthest away from arrow keys, in the older times when pc co-op games required both players to use the same keyboard, you needed that space between the keys for more comfort

As a Scottish person i use metric and imperial. Depending on the situation but its normally imperial for rough and metric for accuracy. I also have no idea how stones work either it's either kg or lbs I use.
