"Learn how to manage, learn how to cope...": Being at the beginning of diagnosis after a crisis, this is something I've been noticing with "symptoms". Going undiagnosed for so long, I learned how to cope and manage symptoms as, "just the way my body works" leaving me with so many that I would not have thought as "disease" if not for the great videos I've found. Now I have to relearn them as my body sending signals and not to "push through" them. Those of us who are just learning are grateful to those of you who are already walking this road... God bless you...
Ahh friend...you are so right...before it was out bodies saying something is wrong and now we get the same messages and still need to continue to listen...our bodies will tell us what it needs if we pay attention and learn not to PUSH THROUGH ❤
Hi Jill I do enjoy your program. My story is a little different I developed adrenal insufficiency after chemo. I was at the bottom before they caught it . After chemo was finished I kept going downhill. Ugh! I am ok today except for the f word fatigue. Hits you at the darndest times.
I had a pituitary apoplexy in 2012 that resulted in secondary adrenal insufficiency. It took over a year to get the diagnosis because I had a history of migraines and they thought it was just a migraine. This was much worse with visual disturbances but nobody picked up on it since it's so rare.
oh my friend...yes it masks itself so well as other issues...because low cortisol takes down every system of the body one by one. Need more guest with SAI would love to have you as one!
Great show thank you for the information I’ve had secondary adrenal insufficiency since at least 2015 if not sooner and also have primary immune deficiency and lupus and I’m on IV Gamagard monthly along with 80 mg of IV solumedral. I tried to get down to 20 mg of hydrocortisone a day but it does not working so now I’m up to 30. And it happens that I think I’m fighting a sinus infection right now which I need updose thank you for the reminder. What is the name of that podcast and Dr that you mentioned in the show if you could point me in that direction it would be great. My endocrinologist does not know what they’re doing.
Hey friend..sorry if I missed posted something from the podcast in the notes..let me reach out to her and see what we mentioned..I can't remember...it maybe my interview with Prof. Wass...check that out.
I contacted Dawn and here is her answer for you "they left pieces of the tumour around my optic nerve and around the carotid artery as it was felt the risks to removing them were greater than the risks of leaving them. They are just monitoring for now." thank you for the comment and question!
Is it just me or does it seem like some channels use the word fatigue in place of insufficiency to sell neutroceuticals ... fatigue is an understatement...i had my blood work done...the ACTH results have to be sent to Halifax...it just happened to coincide with my doctor's appointment today so they have about 25% of my results back the rest are going to take about 9 days. ..but it's finally done...but they've already found high levels of liver enzymes the normal is 35- im. At 51 ...not to bad considering i was eating breakfast sausages all week...if it was anything to worry about if I was in the level of 300 or more so. Lets hope the rest come back...but she could tell i obviously wasn't feeling the greatest ... ultrasound in 3-4 months so she said its not hifh priority so far that is what I want to hear at 42 ...theres no way I can feel the way I do but it's gastrointestinal according to her
I've had gastrointestinal problems all my life and even with images of an enlarged adrenal gland doctors kept telling me it was my diet... 10yrs later, Adrenal insufficiency, enlarged liver and supraventricular tachycardia with talk of surgeries... I hate the medical community and somehow I have to find a way to trust them... May God be my doctor's guide...
thank you for your feedback. we actually talk about this pre podcast since there is no script. I try my best but I am no pro I will try to refine my skills. take care

I have a question about her tumor, what happened with her optic nerve.?
