OMG that's my mom, sister, and her fiancee at the beginning! I attended last years fest but I'm pursuing an internship this year that took me away from Chicago
I stayed the whole day too, I only went early since I thought there would be lines but this year there wasn't so I would go later next year to avoid the ☀️ I brought like 8 bottles of water, 3 of them frozen, to not get dehydrated 😆
Vegandale is always a lively and fun time. Good for you, Craig, being open to meeting new people. Everyone was really nice. The foods and drinks you showcased looked amazing. Great video!👏🤩☀️
@@NoEggCraig I go to Toronto’s Vegandale. It’s well-organized, which is great, because it’s got a constant stream of people arriving all day. It’s held in a cool spot, next to our historic Fort York on Garrison Common, a big grassy park area. And, it’s only a 10-15 minute walk south to the lakefront and bike trails. Geez, I sound like the Toronto Tourist Board 🙄😆
Everything thing looks so delicious at vegandale😋 Fried watermelon sounds good, what a cool unique idea! I use the vegan egg rolls like that. I literally just bought a pack this week but I've been making bean and cheese "burritos" with them. I bought some gimmie lean to make burgers with them and seeing them here makes me want to make them now. I like how you broke down the prices, it might be a bit expensive but it's a special occasion so I think it's totally worth it👌
I've been to vegandale once (Canada) and it was only just alright. They only had one water source on one of the hottest days of the year, and the music was insanely loud. Not sure if I'll go again but everything you got looked amazing!!
I will say that the music was not nearly as loud as in previous years. They are no longer having festivals in the middle of summer (only in June, Sep, Oct & Dec now) and there were 2 places to get water. All of those things you mentioned I've dealt with previously as well. But this one at least addressed all of those issues!
Everything you said is spot on. It was my first time going, and I loved it. I know what to expect and how to prepare next year. I actually watch your previous video when you went last time and enjoyed it. You should try the deep fried pound cake next year. That was amaaaaazing. Blows the watermelon out of the water😂, if you ask me. I'll ask my wife who the vendor was if need be. Definitely going every year that I can. Hopefully, I'll see you and can say hi. Awesome experience. You DO NOT need to be a vegan to enjoy the food. I think I spent about $125 total. But it was well worth it imo. Great job on the editing and thank you for posting because this was the first thing I did was look for others who went to post to UA-cam.
Deep fried pound cake, I will remember that for next time! And I agree, even though it was a lot of money I've got zero regrets about how much I spent. And if you see me next time definitely stop and say hello! That's how Harsh and I met
Everything looks so delicious 🤤. I plan on spending about $100+ bucks on vegan soul fest. It’s a two day event. I’ve had the deep fried watermelon. I think the same vendor came to Baltimore for Artscape a few years back.
@@NoEggCraig it’s not as big. This will be the second year. So maybe it’ll be a little bigger. It’s in Baltimore. Badassvegan is going to be a speaker. It’s like a festival. With music, food and educational activities.
Basically what I did all day other than go to a restaurant and an arcade with some friends...But now I have to eat and basically all the places I want to eat at are closing in like 10 minutes 🙃
Thanks so much! I think people want to interact with other people at festivals more than people realize. And I'll definitely talk more about it in my how to make vegan friends in real life video haha
Hey buddy, I'm recovering from cidp it's been 6 months from the treatment feeling better now but worried about how long does it take to completely recover from this.still my both feets are weak and numb.
Craig! I don't know how to reach you any other way these days (Twitter says I can't DM you because you don't follow me... unless of course I sign up for Twitter Blue so... HELLO HERE I AM!) but anyway! My Ibotta app has free follow your heart vegenaise and cheese (any variety/size) at walmart. Thought of you immediately. I'm a sucker for good deals and figure you are too!
Been thinking about going to chicago vegandale 2024 and this video is making me learn hard towards yes. Thank for sharing!
I actually booked my flight and hotel for it today 😂 if you couldn't tell I highly recommend it!
I think you should do a meet up! I'm flying from east africa to come there first and i know no one 😊@NoEggCraig
striking conversations and chatting with others in line being the biggest take away for me. thank you for sharing your trip
Honestly that's how I met most of the people haha
What an awesome experience, Craig. I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! I put a lot of love into editing this, so that means a lot to me 🥰

We missed you! Looking forward to having you along with us next year!!
Wow, just wow! All the food! So happy you got to go! Thank You for sharing with us! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
So yummy! The waffle truck was noms, i looked up on Sunday if they were still around lol. Nice meeting you at the very end
Nice meeting you too! I saw the waffle truck near the ice cream truck! I didn't try it, but looked very nom haha

I didn't use the bathroom the whole time I was there and then peed a highlighter when I got back to my hotel even after everything I drank 😂
The ice cream cones were from BRICS, a shop out of Indianapolis, IN. The name was on their hats and shirts.
I know, I didn't notice the shirts until after I posted the video 🙃 but I updated the timestamps accordingly
Craig: your hair still looks a-mazing!!! So nice! :) Looks like so much fun--I'm a cook, and that's my kinda weekend! :) Dawn @ Rich & Dawn in MN :)
Thank youuu! That's all my hair stylist and my parents' genes 😂
Great news coming from an experienced attendant, thank you. I am thinking about being a vendor. They seem organized, updating the vendor list weekly.
Yes, they seem especially organized with the cities that have been around for a while, like Chicago
Looking forward to your next Vegandale vid. - fun to watch.
I'm definitely planning on going to another couple vegandales!
It looked fun! Good video editing! Loved it!
Thanks so much! I worked really hard on it, especially to get it out so quickly haha

Thanks! I think it was just the good lighting haha

Meh animals are food to be enjoyed
Have to keep a lookout for next year. Not vegan but good food is good food.
Are you still here ? Like all your videos here and Hercules Candies!
Currently eating at the only vegan restaurant open near me in Rivernorth because I spent the entire day editing 😂
Some of that food looked really good, probably pretty bad for you lol, but looked good.
That is accurate 😂
do you still take immunosuppression tablets?
No medication
Are you ever going to do videos with your mother again lol, like old times? Missed those types of videos 😄🤔
Probably not, she's just busier than ever and these days
