I drive the f150 2022 eco boost MAAN with out blow off that turbo sounds so clean I just test drive it and trust me I will get one of these soon asp lol
Cool.. but I have two questions for you 1) why do you only run 30 psi in your tires - which is probably actually a little lower than that because they were probably warm when it was saying 30 psi - the recommendation is 35 for a f150..? 2) why do you run the truck with the tire pressure reading up instead of something more useful? I put the digital speedo up there, but even like distance to empty or something would be more useful than the tire pressure screen.
Won't damage anything lol. The other end of that hose just goes to the intake pipe. It's the same concept as putting a cold air intake on and capping the vent line. Does change anything. If you left the hose wide open, that's a different animal, then your suseptible to suck in water or debris
@@BushWookie603you're wrong, 100 percent you need the cap. The tube enters the intake after the MAF meaning that air would be un-metered and cause the engine to run lean. Most of the time it will melt exhaust valves
@andrewalvarez9789 well the max output is locked at 15psi for 3.5s and 18 for high output 3.5s... so something isn't stuck or something is reading incorrectly... that's how I'm going to say what I said... it's info your can look up from the manufacturer. So unless you have a raptor or limited... 17 ain't happening. That's absolute max load under full throttle with 93... 6psi on stock 3.5s is the average boost output under normal circumstances
My guy you hear the blow off valve when you let off the gas after a hard pull not while pulling. You hear wastegate under acceleration if it vents to atmosphere.
Hey I wanted to pass this along, I have a Gen2 ford raptor and did this. I believe It blow my engine doing this. I was under warranty thank god. But what I was told was that the plug makes the turbos lose back pressure when you let off the gas then when you get right back on the accelerator it puts a lot of tension on the cam heads without the needed turbo boost build up and mine broke and made my engine grenade itself. Was out for five months waiting on a new engine.

It will damage the engine, and possibly void the warranty. The MAF sensor is adding more gas but won’t have air to burn it so it will run rich. May stumble if to much..be careful….
Great video. It's the first thing I saw when trying too look into blow off valves. I'm pretty happy I saw this. Keep it up

Haven’t driven the new ones but interior wise Ford has definitely stepped it up, they look so much nicer inside

Did this on my 2019 2.7 f150, sounded amazing but put it back to how it was shortly after because I don’t want to damage anything

How about an update? Had any problems with the truck since doing this mod??? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!!!!!
No issues 👍🏽
Stock they only push like 6psi of boost so it wont be all that loud. My tuned 3.5 pushes 25psi. A lot more pressure release to hear!
Nope, I have a stock eco boost and make 16 max
@@andrewalvarez9789 wheres your readout coming from? Aftermarket tunes hit around 17 on 87 so I'm doubting yours is stock if its hitting those numbera
@brandonharrington1422 they 100% run 15-16 on stock. Mine with a 93 tune everything else stock runs 20

Well you’re wrong
Why’d it take so long to get a new engine?
That sucks, so far so good on mine though. How come ford replaced the engine if it was caused by a modification you did?
Sounds like you beat on it and it jumped timing and you bent valves
Similar mod on my tuned n54 I had plugs on for a year before I got a proper charge pipe and bov🤨
Would it mess up or affect anything on the truck or performance wise?
No issues whatsoever
Yes it screwed up my truck. Threw engine lights, would randomly stop shifting also. Put it back stop and issues went away
@@freshcoatcustompaint8870no
Yeah i have one on the truck I just bought and am about to ditch it. Hopefully it's just the plug. Mine is stupid loud
You can Clip the hose back in, takes 2 minutes, unless they removed the hose entirely
@Cobra Carlos nah, unfortunately, it's got the entire bov replaced. I'm stuck with it 😩
How did it affect MPG?
An update on the Mod?
Any issues ?
What's the MPG before and after VTA mod?
do you have the link to it on amazon to see which one exactly it is
can you out the info about acquiring the plug.
Did this on my 2018 and lost boost not sure how
Where can i find the same plug as yours?

It's a truck, not a car. Good how-to overall man. Thanks!
Appreciate it, Thanks for watching!

I guess I only needed 1 valve cap lol?!
Better tape up that other tube before something gets in those turbos
Should i just tape the end it tape it to the top or something?
That's the exhaust or output. Nothing will go up that hole.
It goes to a dead end / to the factory blow off valve so nothing gonna really happen
Other tube ?
Is there one for a 2014 f150ecoboost?
ua-cam.com/video/dW9r6t-79nA/v-deo.html
Use a rubber chair lag cap and put at the top where the hose hooks on to works great
The boomba bov adapter is a much better option in my opinion for $85
Is it just a plug? If so seems overpriced

@@cobracarlos I used a 1.50 rubber chair cap. I would never pay 80 for a plug lol

Cuz your flooring it more

Does this mod make your check engine light come on?
Nope, no check engine lights, and I also have a cold air intake and a tune on the truck
yes. causes turbo underboost overtime
@@imjacksonwarren1042wrong
Totally useless mod..ended up reconnecting everything on mine
good thing u can plug it back in
Ok but I like sounding straight out of a fast and furious movie 😂
Leave your truck alone the Ford wanted to do that they would have did that
Ford wanted to push out as many as possible as quickly as possible and knew some people don't want turbo sounds. This argument is pointless
It will damage the engine, and possibly void the warranty. The MAF sensor is adding more gas but won’t have air to burn it so it will run rich. May stumble if to much..be careful….
Yes but then how do you get all the fun swoosh and whoosh sounds
@@cobracarlosAin’t no way you’re making this clown-ass argument. 💀
There are three sensors. It appears the computer can correct for the difference between intake and charged air.
it has a MAP not a MAF so recirculating the air has no purpose aside from emissions/noise reduction
@@coby4482so this mod doesn't harm the turbo at all? I'm use to evos and stis and vta bovs are a big no no
This looks like a terrible idea.
Is that safe for engine?
Yup it’s safe 👍🏽 and sounds cool 💯
not at all. causes a p0229 code for turbo underboost over about 6 months
