Motorcraft used to be above any aftermarlet parts but not anymore. I have a 2021 Ford Edge SEL and I started to have a vibration driving at high speed, resulted to be the brakes, changed brake pads and turned the rotors @ 15k miles noiw is 32k and im looking forward to get a Pony Mach E.

How much costs to you money wise to drive 100 miles.

I agree on one point, it’s not a road car because the charging infrastructure is not there. Frunk, blue cruise? your salesperson should have mentioned those. You missed a big one, no spare, ford solution on a $50k car is fix a flat.

Overhead cam 4.6 is very reliable in the mustang. I drove an 01 gt for 100,000 miles. I drove a 98 gt for 100,000 miles as well. A 07 f150 with a 4.6 for 150,000 miles. I've had a '01 lightning for 10 years now. I don't put many miles on that but it's been turn key and drive every time.

My wife replaced her 13 Hyundia GM with a mach-e GT. Our insurance went up $7/mo. I equate that to just the difference in vehicle price.

Agree with the best looks in the market. Hate that it has such a short mileage range battery. Any updates on chgariging station upgrades? Too expensive to drive something that can't do roadtrips.

Thanks for the insights. The Mach E scores high marks as our potential next EV except I need as much cargo room as possible and ability to tow is another. We’ve got a boat very similar to yours and while I don’t tow often I do need to occasionally and don’t want to be renting a pickup to do it. Anyone know if Ford NA is going to approve that like in Europe? Otherwise the Volvo XC40 Recharge will likely edge it out for us in those two categories even though my wife likes the Mach E styling much more than the Volvo. Styling or value of Tesla products don’t matter to me. I can’t see myself buying anything from that tool Elon if I can possibly help it…

I had the Ford Charge Station included with my used Mach E and it charged at 17 miles per hour. I recently switched to the Tesla home charger with adapter and I get between 33 to 44 miles per hour now.

one big thing to look out for is the stuipid amount of electrical problems these cars can get both new edges I’ve owned have had pcm and grounding issues

This is a great video for people who have arguements about EVs. My favorite argument from people who think EVs have no benifit is the "your still using energy" argument.... Well, theres a reason our homes are on giant power grids and not individual generators, electricity, like anyhing else, is much much more effecient when mass produced (or in the case of energy, converted). I do work in big datacenters that have backup generators large enough to power their entire datacenter, but there is a reason that is a backup plan. My Mach-e at around 14000 miles/ a year increased our electric bill about $10/month... Now they are not for everyone, yet, with current battery tech you really need to own a home or have a garage where you are able to install a level 2 charger, though I think big rental properties will start addressing this soon. For anyone that thinks they are awful, just go try one out....

I daily drive a 2003 Mustang V6 and a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, which has the same engine as the 1999-2004 Mustang GT. The Grand Marquis has 387,000 miles on the original engine, and still runs like new. It's a good engine. The biggest problem with the Mustang GT is it's hideous ghetto wheels and lack of proper tires. Not only are they ugly as hell, but they won't hold up on normal roads, and the lack of proper tires will literally pound the entire car to pieces. Lowering it makes it 10 times worse. My 2003 Mustang came with 16" wheels, which I replaced with 15" wheels from a 2000 Mustang V6, so I could put real tires on it. They are slightly larger in diameter than the original tires, with much wider sidewalls. It has been fine since I bought it 5 years ago. It has NOT been lowered I learned how to drive a stick shift around age 10, in a 1949 Ford farm truck. I have a total of 5 cars, 2 of them are over 50 years old, and run just fine. The older the car, the longer it will likely last, because older cars were designed to be repaired, not replaced. My oldest car is a 1963 Chevy Nova SS. Or at least the body is. Everything else is new. You can't do that with newer cars.

"There are cars 3, 4, 5 years old that are unreliable" Because Ford shit the bed, as did all American manufacturers. Those older Ford V8s are damn near bombproof. Only thing to watch out for on these GTs (and Thunderbirds with the same engine) is be careful when changing the spark plugs. If you do it wrong, you'll strip the threads.

I just bought a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E. It's Superman blue and the color just pops. I have to say with absolute certainty, this is the best car I have ever had in my life. It's better than the BMW 328i I once had. It's very solid and drives like a tank. And it's an SUV. I've had 8 cars in my life. From Toyota Celica's to a Kia Optima Hybrid to an old beat up truck to a Toyota Prius. But I have to tell you, this Ford Mustang Mach-E is fantastic. And those Tesla drivers are jealous because they're always trying to stay even with me and I just ignore them. I live in LA and I don't even get honked at anymore. And going to the gas station is slowly fading from my memory.
