I just got one on Amazon as a kit including the 2 18650 batteries, cost $183 after taxes. I also have 6 18650 batteries laying around various capabilities. Leaving them in the 4 way external charger is faster then waiting on a USB.
I have all the TK35's except this one. I am pretty impressed by the beam profile here. Not to floody with a very good hot spot. Seeing that many lumens throw like that is pretty cool. I like the pocket clip as well. Looks like Fenix is about to get even more of my money.
I got mine yesterday I was trying to justify the lr35r vs this one and the thing is while 10,000 lumens is cool theres one big problem on the lr35r is that it goes from high (3,000 lumens) to turbo (10,000) lumens and that there is no 5,000 lumen or 7,000 lumen option in between high and turbo. While this one the tk35 ue v2 has basically every level of lumens you need between eco and turbo. So you have more modularity in a sense.
Having both I’d say the lr35r is still best at keeping the 3k output going when u need it. Where as this light won’t do 5k lumin for that long before dropping. Lr35r will punch more light way longer in other words.
I'm a fan of the fenix beam pattern. I've found any kinda light you can pull/push the head for flood or spot, the beam just looks like crap. Not a fan of the no USB to charge through the light. Even though you said it was comfortable, I still don't know if I'm diggin the handle. Good review thanks for sharing.
I kinda feel the same about it's shape, but I have two of these lights and honestly they're way more comfortable in the hand than I figured they would be. I am seriously considering getting this one in the video after using my 3200 lumen light for night walking, especially the last 2 nights. I just can't get over the overall capabilities of the light. Even my old original 820 lumen TK35 is superb in how it throws the beam. The 3200 lumen throws and floods in a very useful way. If you like a lot of coverage and decent throw, this light is it.
Man, I have the original 820 lumen TK35 and the 2018 UE version..I need this one now. It makes me wanna go get the two I have and just turn them on 💁♂️
Was not gonna bother(that's a-lot of money for a torch), but since I'm hiking "Half," of the Continental Divide Trail in 2022, independently, a bright (lightweight) torch makes sense.
Correction! The switches are designed like the TK35UE 2018 edition. The original TK35UE was first produced more than 10 years ago. There were several versions of it before they started numbering them by the year and now it looks like they're going to do it by the version number from now on.
Thanks I was waiting for this , the first good review of this flashlight . I like everything about this flashlight , except that there is no usb c port. For me a dealbreaker, I need it for working/traveling. I don't want to bring a separate charger. I use nitecore SRT 9 a lot ( without usb c port also) a great flaslight for the money I paid 80 us$ with two 18650 batterys. Almost the same dimensions of the Fenix. And yes feels comfortable in the hand.
I just got mine and I find that the flat part of the flashlight is 2 short its cumbersome in ur hand trying 2 use ur thumb to turn on and switch through the modes.not enough room to get all 4 of ur fingers around it to get enough leverage 2 use ur thumb..with this flat design it would be much better with out the tail switches..for me anyway
Good review, I appreciate your work. One feedback, maybe could condense content / cut out unnecessary info. While it looks like a good product, I might have to pass on it due to its price. It's expensive as it is, then you have to add on battery costs. Plus for its price range it doesn't have integrated recharging so you will need to buy a battery charger separately as well. I might opt for the Interstate LIG6100 instead, but it's hard to find concise reviews for these products.
Great review. This is a very nice flashlight. I think I'll have to pick one up and add it to my collection. This would be great for an emergency big, or to keep in the car.
Hello friend, how are you?I need a tactical flashlight and I'm not sure which model and brand to buy, what would you recommend?I'm in doubt on the fenix TK 16 V2, Klarus XT 21 PRO and Olight X3.If you have another model to indicate, I will be grateful 👍🏼
Looked this, how bright at 100-200 feet? It is marketed as a 400m (1300 foot) flashlight. $5 Kmart torch goes more than 100 feet, and it comes with a battery.
I just received my TK35UE. Its a nice flashlight. But I will say i thought it would be brighter ! I paid $240 and $70 for batteries Australian dollars. Thats is expensive for a 5000 lumen flash light! Fenix is a good brand flashlight. From now on i will stick to other brand flashlights !!
What a wonderful deterrent that torch is! It would be fantastic for making chavs disappear in seconds, I must try to get one of these because scumbags aren't going to hang around with a beam like this on them.
Not a bad flashlight especially when you’re on the job but who the hell carries a battery charger when you’re on duty and you need it or I’m used to going into my vehicle and charging it from the cigarette lighter I guess that’s of that flashlight
I’m well aware of the ratings troll. A lot more than you apparently It’s 100% waterproof genius. If you can submerse it in 6 ft of water indefinitely, then it’s waterproof. I mean is this guy serious? 🤔

@@ChrispyThings not indefinitely through - number 6 means dust protection, number 8 - 1.5 meters deep max for 30 minutes (it can survive more, but not covered by rating itself) . It will not survive high pressure, but more is not needed for this kind of flashlight.
No batteries and lamp itself can not charge battery (some earlier Fenix lamps could!), so all in all there is significant additional cost which brings this package close to 200$. Too pricey for what you get.
I've had my TK35UE 2.0 for over 5 years now and I love it. so much I upgraded to the LR35R. That's an upgrade in lumens candela and battery power.

@@JoshTheElectric different scenarios but I agree. However if the lr35r had a tail switch instead of that stupid button that would be solid
Can you do a comparison with tk35ue v2, tk16 v2, and lr35r? Love your content. Keep it up. 100k subs soon

Love the beam pattern. My negatives would be The price is too high, especially without bateries, and the body is very oddly shaped for the hand.
I actually love the shape of the body. I think it feels good while holding it.
Trust me the grip is the best ever.
the shape is accually pretty nice when you hold it.
I'm ordering it right now beautiful beam profile

Tk16v2 and tk35uev2 which is better when drop from the same distance ?

I was referring to the 2018 model if this is the V2.
That’s what I meant by original, not literally the original.
Thanks for the lesson though.
Pretty awesome light, great UI...Whats the next emitter for next year, UFO LED's?

Wen in tactical mode 3500.
Wil it automaticly drop or stay at 3500?
Wen getting hot.
Greets from the Netherlands
It steps down. Most turbo modes aren’t a sustainable brightness level.
Okay how long before before it steps down +/- wen in tactical 3500 to high or in between?
Thankyou for you help!
So 3500 is also a kind of turbo mode?
Awesome review. Can I take this through the airport?
Honestly I have no idea.
Would love to see this vs some deep car tint
How long will it stay at 5000 lumens for please?

Yes. That “buddy” did say that.
