An aero grade aluminum body with a military-grade hard-anodized finish. Impact-resistant up to 1 meter and is IP68 water and dust resistant. More from the Nitecore website:
    Equipped with 4 x CREE XP-L2 V6 LEDs with a lifespan of 50,000 hours, the NITECORE E4K is able to emit a blazing output of 4,400 lumens from a palm sized body with a max peak beam intensity of 11,100cd and a max throw of 211 meters, ideal for EDC (Everyday Carry), trekking, camping and more. The independently controlled quadruple LEDs are powered by a constant current circuit to provide a durable usage with guaranteed safety.
    The ultra compact and lightweight body of the E4K provides convenient and flexible usage and is constructed with a CNC machined unibody design, featuring lightweight, solidity and excellent heat dissipation. The anti-skid knurling is ideal for long term carry or operation. The cooling fins are designed to reduce weight and enable quick heat dissipation. The tail stand capability offers hands-free operation to be placed on a flat surface.
    With the NL2150HPR battery (5,000mAh) included, the E4K is recommended to be powered by 1 x 21700 battery (discharge current over 15A) while compatible with 2 x CR123 / RCR123 batteries. It provides 700 hours of ultra-long runtime for a consistent usage of 30 days on ULTRALOW. The integrated ATR technology regulates the output of the E4K according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.
    Specially designed for outdoor applications, the one-hand operable side switch of the E4K has a wear proof silicone cover which is friendly for glove users. With 5 brightness levels, 3 special modes, and dual user modes available to offer direct access to TURBO/STROBE, it serves as your best lighting tool for multiple scenarios.
    The patented power indicator can easily inform you of the power level. The included two-way clip also enables additional carrying ways to be clipped in the pocket, the backpack or the belt.

    I have read through a lot of the comments and saw a lot of complaining about the turbo runtime of 20 seconds. If I am out walking the dog at night, and I see something unknown, and I turn a light onto turbo in the objects direction, I can usually identify said object (dog, bush, person) within 2 seconds. For me an ultra bright "flash" mode that only lasted 5 seconds would still be useful. If its not useful to you that's fine does not mean they should limit the flashlight to 1000 lumens or whatever it can sustain for an hour.

    Man, I gotta hand it to you, you do know how to make a great review video. I've Subscribed. It does blow the mind that human beings can make such an amazing product and not have it cost an arm and a leg. The 5-year warranty is great though I do agree with you that 1 lumen moonlight mode is better than its 2 lumen. I will have to later on checkout the flashlight you say is your preferred EDC. Thanks much for making this video!

    I have a few Nitecores. HC65 headlamp, EC23 every day, and an EC4S. I like them all for different reasons. The thing I like about the EK4 is that it's got the power of my big EC4S, but closer to the size of my EC23. One thing I do not like about my flashlights is that I'm always fumbling to find the button on them in the dark. They are small and not raised or otherwise easily distinguishable. The EK4 seems to fix this with the square bezel around a big round button. Looks like it would be much easier to locate in the dark or from a pocket/bag. I would love it if all Nitecores had a recessed button in a magnetic tailcap. Great review, I like the sleeve for using other sized batteries (all of my batteries). I might pick this one up, I like the weight and power output.

    Hey man nice review. I thought the interface was weird at first because you have to turn it off then back on to change modes. Then I realized from off you have direct access to moonlight, your memorized mode, and turbo. And when it's on you can jump straight to turbo if you need to. For the size this thing is a beast.

    Great review as always. I’ve got the Thorfire VG-15 1070 lumens Flashlight. Have had it for about 4 years. Got it from Amazon for about £8. It’s got four modes of brightness, plush the strobe setting all controlled via the little rubber button at the base. It came with the battery and the belt clip. Terrific value and it’s still going strong. Battery lasts ages. If I didn’t have this I probably get the one you’ve just reviewed but it’s just so good. Best little torch I’ve ever had.

    I use this as my EDC at work (Security). By far the best I've carried. I've read comments about charging the battery externally. Seriously? This is awesome. Buy another battery as I did and I have it in my tac bag. When I need to charge I just plug the "C" type into the battery and place the spare into the flashlight and I am good to go. The 4400 modes are just show offs to me. I like to hit those modes for bragging rights. I have it programmed in tactical mode. 1 click for battery meter, 2 clicks for Eco mode, 3 clicks for strobe mode and I have low mode programmed for long press. I have the clip on the other side on the flashlight directly opposite of the switch button. Can easily pull the flashlight out and the switch is right under my thumb every time. Thank you Nitecore! Would love to see an E4K Version 2.

    The Nitecore E4K looks like a very good flashlight. The best part of the light to me is that they include a battery adapter so that you can use 2 primary x CR123A batteries in an emergency, and even RCR123A batteries. This is a BIG plus. Olight are you listening? ;-)
    Nitecore calls this a two way clip, to me more like a reversible clip if one can re-position it. Can that be done Chrispy?
    My closest light to this is the Olight Seeker Pro2. It has a bidirectional clip so I tried clipping it to a bill of a cap. It may not be comfortable for standard use but it does work, e.g. if you needed hands free to change a tire or provide some medical care. Wimpy caps and hats probably won't. LOL. What I don't like about the Nitecore E4K and the Olight Seeker Pro 2 is that they both come in Crappy White (CW). I prefer Neutral White (NW) for better perception. I understand their may be efficiency trade-offs but I think, at least the flashlight manufacturers should specify the color temperature and if needed perhaps encourage the LED manufacturers on this issu.
    Chrispy, thanks for the review. I like the Spyderco shirt. :-) One of may favorite knives is the Spyderco HAP40 Wharncliffe Delica.

    Yeah man they came out with the new model 2000 lumens but you know what this is an older video but I think you got a great voice speaking voice for doing these videos you're very precise and on point thank you for sharing it man ordering one the upgrade I love the button on it that's what I like the most because at night time I could feel that button a lot of these flashlights have a smooth button at night time you can't see it it's a pain in the ass from going around to try to find the button because you always end up pushing the little rubber cover 😂😂😂😂😂

    My first ever item I bought from Nite core was a battery charger around 5 years ago. It lasted less than 6 months. Tried to get a new one from the manufacturer but no good. First and last item I will purchase from them.

      😂 same thing happened to me I bought two - 4 slot nitecore intelicharger. One of them suddenly stopped working for no reason and the other is possibly still working as a result like you I’ve never bought anything nitecore again. I’m presently using a Xtar charger and it’s awesome and it can charge protected 21700 battery. Love xtar!

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  4 роки тому

      My turbo only lasts 20 seconds so not sure how they got this light to run for 30 minutes on turbo.

    • @patricj951
      @patricj951 4 роки тому +1

      At turbo this light(like the most lights today) is heavily overpowered. No chance it could sustain 4400lm for 30min, that would demand 2cells. Apart from that the heat dissipation is far from sufficient. Such a small light would be burning hot and the LEDs fry.

    • @Jacob_6420
      @Jacob_6420 4 роки тому +2

      I'm not sure but a Tail cap light is a must for me. Personally tho I cannot stand how my olights and fenix lights have the tail switch but then I have to try and find the side switch in the dark to increase power levels. They make them too flush imo they should be raised to find it easier

    Hi. Just 1 question. My flashlight (Olight 520 baton) is smaller than this one, With two Lithium batteries in it. On the low light mode it will shine ower a month continuesly. No kidding. Do you know how long this flashlight would light at that setting?

    • @ChrispyThings

      Fenix E35 V3 is better 3000 lumens and only like 5 inches in length and 1 inch in diameter and actually stays in turbo mode for a few minutes before going down to high which is still a blinding 1200 lumens I recommend it to anyone looking for an extremely bright edc flashlight

    Brilliant, Nitecore gives the weight without the battery, or clip attached. Fine, take off the clip. But honestly who the hell is going to carry this or ANY light without the battery in it? No one, that's who.
