- Watch as the Colorado Avalanche bring out the Stanley Cup on the ice for Gabriel Landeskog to display in front of the fans, and raise their 2022 championship banner ahead of their regular season opener.
Jack Johnson, the unsung hero after Girard got injured. His back story leading to his success is unreal. To be left out would be a criminal sin.
Redemption story for Johnson. Love to see it.

PROOF of how much this trophy means to the players, and a testiment to how much class exists in hockey!
@@montgomeryfamily6418 No doubt. Classy of the Hawks to let him celebrate with his old team as well.
@@kylemac1988 It shouldn't be another way. Johnson deserved to be on the Avs, the fans supported that idea.. Kudos to the Blackhawks.
So happy Jack Johnson got to be part of the celebration.
@Jean m I don't think anybody did. They showed him during a commercial break and he got a great reception from the fans.
@Jean m No one did we all cheered for him joining the Avs players
Jack Johnson skating over and immediately being welcomed in by his former teammates fills my heart with joy.
And now he’s traded back to Colorado.
Seeing JJ on the bench smiling like that and out on the ice with the team is amazing. He was a beast in the playoffs last year for the Avs once Girard got injured.
I get chills everytime I watch this. So much brotherhood, a roaring fanbase, jack johnson joining in a different uniform, and a perfect song choice. What a magical moment.
I was in attendance last night & the crowd was so loud I didn't even hear this song playing while the banner was raised! Such a fun night & great start to the season, go Avs!
was this at game 1 of regular season?
@@Ri5004 yes, the home opener
So glad Johnson got to stand next to his brothers with that banner. That shows the class they truely have.
They used the most perfect song for the raise
History will be remembered forever, Colorado. Go Avs Go!!!
As a blues fan i’m so proud of that Avs team they were amazing
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
@@lelouchvibritannia4028 A surprise?????
@@tonyz6421 Blues fans were quite toxic after these past playoffs ended, so it's rare to see nice Blues fans.
@@lelouchvibritannia4028 ohhh, I get it sorry. 👍🏼
Congratulations Colorado Avalanche to the Stanley Cup Wins
That was beautiful and epic thank you avalanche always
Agreed 👍! Thanks 😊
I love how Jack Johnson just casually sneaks in there in white and he's still part of the team in the Avs eyes
Let's Go Avalanche!!!
WOO WOO!!!
We were there last night and I was crying like a baby whilst grinning like a maniac and yelling my arse off (as my sore throat today can attest to) during the ceremony. A freaking AMAZING night with seats at the railing, behind the glass right next to where the players came out at the beginning of the ceremony. I think I died and went to heaven seeing Gabe skate the Cup around. And the game was absolutely killer - no Cup hangovers here, boys! Love our Avs!!!
Go Avs Go! Colorado Proud! 2022 NHL Champions!
Absolutely COVERED in goosebumps
Gives me chills
Classy having JJ go with the team
Aw no invite? 🥹 - Gary.
Back to back boys ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you so much Chicago Black Hawks Organization for letting JJ be part of the ceremony..shows alot of Class 100%
I was there live. It was surreal, to put it lightly
A moment i will cherish for the rest of my life and i wasn’t there as a lifelong Avs fan in Toronto its been my dream to see an Avs game live and one day i will be there #GoAvsGo #OneWayOurWay
CAF that JJ was in on the ceremony. Too bad Darcy, Nazem and Andre weren't there.
Lightning fan here, you were the only team i was cool with losing to. The only thing i do wish happened is you guys won it at home. The reaction of a home crowd is something that can’t be beat.
I'm not going to lie I was crying, I actually looked at the banner several times during the game.. ... People are saying that the Arena wasn't as loud as it should be. To those people I will say because I was their and it was loud. The Arena was full at warmups, I have never seen everyone in their seats that early. Also it was so loud with Mark Hoppus leading fans in 'All the Small Things'... The fans were cheering I couldn't even hear 'Smashing Pumpkins'.. great night. Jack Johnson deserved to be on the ice for the banner raising. I'm very happy JT told him to go and be on the ice.
I was happy to see Gabe skate with the Stanley Cup for the Avs fans.
Здорово, что и Джек Джонсон поучаствовал! Спасибо и ему за Кубок!
Was the most expensive ticket I’ve eve bought for an Avs game and it was worth it, JJ coming out was an honor as well. Have my replica banner handed out that night above the team portrait :)
Leafs Chance To Get Their Stuff Rollin This Year Could Be The Year
So beautiful to watch. Go Avs Go. The Cup Stays Here 🏒🗻🏆
Amazing/Emotional Stanley Cup Champions Colorado Avalanche Celebration!!!!
Congratulations again boys way to put it in work last year this year it's time to go back and get a repeat we need to be back to back Stanley cup championships and bring home number four
I am so happy Jack Johnson was able to be there! Always gonna be an Av to me
well deserved avs amazing road .congrats champs ;)
Let’s go Avalanche!!!
The city of Denver will be raising another this October 2023. It’s not the Avalanche, it’s the Nuggets. This last year has been great for Denver fans in winning the Larry O’Brian Trophy a year after winning the Stanley Cup. Congrats to coach, Nikola Jokic, and the entire Nuggets organization. I give thanks to Stan Kroenke for bringing Denver a Stanley Cup and NBA title back to back years. Now Mr. Kroenke will you buy the Rockies and win Denver it’s first World Series.
Glad Jack Johnson got to be apart of this, absolute class from the Avs gang. GO AVS GO!
I Am So Glad My Team The Colorado Avalanche Won The Stanley Cup Again!!! I Got Really Emotional 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😢😢😢
Same let’s go avs!
Jack Johnson moment is legendary
Glad we were able to have the majority of last year's team back
Who's here after Jack Johnson got traded back to Colorado?
this came in my recommendation the day before vegas will raise their banner tomorrow
LETS GO AVS
I was hoping for a cardboard Kadri cutout...
It was the first time they won the cup when I was alive I wasn’t born yet when they win in 2001 I’m glad they finally won a cup when I was alive
Les Nordiques/Go Avs Go
Avalanche whooaaa
GO AVS GO !
I can still see the place they dented it lol
in my opinion, for what it's worth--the two most difficult events to win in sports are the Tour de France, and the Stanley Cup. Both take incredible teamwork and individual dedication..but the Cup is the only trophy I know of shared among the winners every year, the only one with generations of great names etched upon it, the only one treated with such respect and such "familiarity"...I get misty eyed just seeing it, and the players' and fans' reactions....just such a great thing to see...
Avs music supervisor for the arena loves smashing pumpkins. Same songs used when peter forsberg retired
Awesome taste in music using 'Tonight Tonight' by The Smashing Pumpkins while raising the banner!
They fixed the dent!
Canucks would like to trade Bo Horvat, Elias Petterson, JT Miller and Thatcher Demko to Colorado for some of the respect Joe Sakic is showered with from the Avs fanbase. And a 1st Round draft pick in 2024.
Congrats avs
The others will have to wait to get their rings:
Nazem Kadri
Andre Burakovsky
Darcy Kuemper
Nicolas Aube-Kubel
Must be awkward for the avs who weren’t with the team last year
У них есть шанс выиграть с командой Кубок в этом году.
I don't think so. I think they would completely understand not being apart of it.
❤🎉
What song was that they where playing?
Tonight tonight - Smashing Pumpkins
@@captainobvious9481 thx! I’ve been looking for ever for that song!
Thanks Avs, between you and the Rangers I won $450 during last year's playoffs. I can't pick the same teams this year so I went with Calgary vs Montreal Round 3. Yin and Yang tell me that since I did so well last year that at least one of my teams won't even make the playoffs this season, that's a $50 kick in the nuts before the first round even starts. Anywho, good luck to the Avs going for back-to-back Stanley Cups although TBF I think the Flames might have beaten them if they got past the Oilers.
Montreal? loooooooooooool
cool beans
one of these things is not like the others... lol. glad colorado won the cup last year.
20 years prior the avalanche denied the 😈 a bid to a 🏒🏆 repeat. Now they denied the ⚡️ a chance to a potential dynasty
JMFJ
Too bad Nazem couldn't be there...not sure they would have won without him...
Blimey! A Blackhawk player snuck onto the ice to take part in the celebration! Did anyone else notice?
Yes... Jack Johnson who won the Stanley Cup with the Avs in 2022...................
was on the team
He was on the avs when they won and signed with the hawks in the off season
OMG! Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup this season after Jack Johnson joined them for the banner unveiling! 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Vegas banner better
Yeah Keep bringing out a cup and getting cocky we dont Care about ur celebration playoffs we’re long ago yeah u win quit showing it around
Bet you’d be fine with it if it was your team though, right? Sit down
go get on the short bus
So celebrating a cup win on the FIRST regular season game back in being cocky? Okay....
If you were to use an asterisk for all of the grammatical errors in your comment, you'd have enough asterisk diamonds to fill up an Avs cup ring. Every team raises banners, don't be sour.
U dont make any sense. That's what we are supposed to do. Go Avs Go Avs Go Avs Go Avs.
Enjoy it because the way you won it wasn't too special.
Um loosing 4 games total in the playoffs 2 Sweeps including WCF and beating the 2 time champions in 6 game 2 in Tampa at that. Yeah that's not special. 🤡
lol winning it on the back to back champs home ice isnt special?
whatever you say bud! maybe put the crack pipe down
@@andrewlane5839 they played 3rd string goalie round one, took out the starter in 2nd round, 3rd round played a terrible defense in Edmonton along with Mike Smith, and finally in the final played a Tampa team that was injury riddled and Vasy wasn't vintage Vasy we all know. No clown it wasn't special. What Tampa did was special what the blues did in 2019 WAS special. Beating bad teams isn't special. You guys were gifted.
@@CO_Yeti They played 3rd string goalie round one, took out the starter in 2nd round, 3rd round played a terrible defense in Edmonton along with Mike Smith, and finally in the final played a Tampa team that was injury riddled and Vasy wasn't vintage Vasy we all know. So many reasons they walked into the finals.
@@justinscott8769 ok The blues defender injured Binnington not Kadri. That's already been established around most of nhl and people who can actually see what happened. And the injury thing it was the playoffs everyone was hurt in one way or another. Av's just took care of business. Everyone saying they didn't have a special cup win are just salty.
Let's Go Boys We Won The Cup Go Avs ❤💙🤍
Do all players join or only the ones that won, like was Georgiev or Rodriguez there?
LETS GO AVS
