Never thought I'd say this, but I was trying to hold back tears of anger after losing in the 2nd round to Vegas in 2021 at the beginning of the song. And then that determination and grit of this team in 2022 and when Darren Helm scored that series-clinching goal in Game 6 in St. Louis that finally pushed the Avs past the 2nd round after 3 attempts, I released all that adrenaline of frustration out knowing that we are now just one step closer to reaching the summit. And then to sweep the Oilers in the Western Conference Finals to reach the Stanley Cup Final against Tampa Bay and then to win it all, I then released all the tears of relief and joy at the very end.
The Good Guys finally won! The one, the only, the hockey juggernaut known as the Colorado Avalanche. This was more than a Stanley Cup win for me. I felt motivated by an epic song for the Avalanche I Wrote to finally make music. Some months after winning the Cup I've picked up the guitar again and sound better than ever. This could be really, really big. I'm getting more gear today- thank you Avs for being more than a hockey team by being a light for me.
It's been the best thing ever right? I started playing hockey again after a 15 year absence and leading goal scorer on the team already! LFG! the boys did it
@@christophermoffitt1988 That's great! Hockey is a really healing thing for people to get into. The Avalanche were my first breakthrough back in the legendary 96 win days. I remember the beef with the Red Wings well... That was a great team, but this current team is the best NHL team ever! Good luck to you in your career!

This was in my opinion the most complex play off team in nhl history (or in the last 30 years). Only lost 4 games and played the probably the most perfect game from one team from start to finish (2 game) against Tampa in the Stanley Cup finals.

I sat on the couch distraught, a loss for words. Stood up after about 5 minutes of silence and said well were getting it next year.
