Thank you so much! I really enjoyed your video about the wild roses, just wondering how long do you let the rose honey marinating before you can enjoy it? I see you tell us to stir every couple of days but can’t see for how long we need to leave until can be used ♥️
I love your video this rose petal elixir and herbal body oil information and the thorn example about how we get pricked by a thorn if we are careful it does remains us of how this life is how we are in this life I love this and after this I spent a while binge watching all your other videos 🤗🤗🤗 I fell in love THANK YOU for being here ❤️❤️🙏🏼
awe thank you for the kind words, and you are welcome
I was wondering if all rose types are edible...and after you strain them and put them in bottles can you put it on the shelf or do you store in the fridge?
hello ~ sometimes i store oils in the fridge, depending on how long they will be around. i do typically like to use the oil up though, or turn it into soap, ect. the elixir having alcohol in it, has a really long shelf life, i store that in a bottle in the pantry. yes all roses are edible, however lots of herbicides are used. so i wouldn't make a remedy out of store bought roses or from gardens or public places that are well groomed.
@@simplyjosephine thanks so much for answering back and for the advice.
what is the shelf life of the elixirs?
also is the added honey the only difference between the elixir and tincture ? Awesome vids. Thank you for educating!
i would say a long time, since alcohol is used. but i'm sure it would taste best if used within a year.
@@humblegiants2098 pretty much, except for i like to use 80 proof alcohol for elixirs and 100 proof for tinctures. elixirs are more drinkable, that's why i like the lower proof, and tinctures are something you take a small amount of, and the higher proof extracts more from the plant material.
Thank you Dacia, I’m going to pick some wild roses as soon as it stops raining.
