As soon as I saw that Synergy were releasing/teasing a new module, I thought "Man, I hope they send one to John Browne". Stoked to see they did! Awesome tone man!
Holy $h!t! I just saw Browne use an upstroke! Ya, it was while arpeggiating a chord, but I wasn’t sure his picking stroke ever went upwards. LOL! Keep up the great work brother!
Mr Browne, brilliant as all get out! I knew you would really give this module a workout. Have you tried the Synergy module into the loop of the MKIV? The power section is what I really here the difference between both rigs.
When John mentioned Billy Talent, I knew exactly what he was talking about. Though Ian's sound is a bit more crispy then crunchy. But I feel ur point 😋
Awesome as always and nice product ! I see you have a new amp mesa road king. I would be curious to see how Mister John Browne takes hold of the road king's fiery rage ! ^^ It should be obscene !
I normally just tune in to hear John's playing. What a devastating beast!! Always so fresh and creative sounding. And so heavy. Then he drops master of puppets in. Just kill me now! So intrigued by the synergy system. I spunked my money into a mark IV though and that's been awesome. Honestly, I feel like I need the right hand/left drills more than I need another piece of gear/tonal option.
I love a module that just makes you want to play and this is it, in spades and it's not a one trick pony either. I prefer this to my Mark V for all the 20mins I've had with it so far.....granted I'm using the Mk V power section with the SYN1. I'm only 1/3 way through your video so far but looking it! \m/
I'm thinking about adding one module to my ENGL Invader, how would this sound? My Invader sounded much better than my MK V so I was wondering if this 2C+ would be cool
Nice to see someone crank the gain on the non lead setting and the work the volume knob on the guitar. My Quad Pre gets a fantastic classic to hard rock tone on the clean channel when the gain is up. So many good sounds in there beyond scooped metal and straight clean. When you use an E or Eb standard tuned guitar it’s even more tight and riff friendly before you even get to the lead setting.
Detuned metal guitar has one dimension and its barely musical. Another guitar that doesn't sound like a dog shitting razor blades would've made the demo.

I think the sheer amount of playing in this demo video shows how much the player enjoyed the thing.
Browne is probably the only reviewer who knows how to setup a mark series amp^^
the harmonic with the right hand at 8:24, unreal, that whole section of riffs rules so hard
The fact that you brought up billy talent blows me away! Such a great band
I really really love what the guitar player in that band does. Great chords, interesting rhythms and sick ass tone
@@JohnBrownemonuments that's exactly what's great about you
That riff starting @11:54 is insane!
good time stamp, I always click on these hoping for some riffage but always seem to miss it

The greatest demo of the Synergy ever! Great playing as always, sick riffs
Yep, this easily the best tone you’ve ever gotten Browne. Sick!
FINALLY someone trying this module out with a boost in front! Well done, John Browne, thank you!
I'm here always to see you play riffs like thaat, really cool and versatile in every kind of amp, cheers!

Ian D'Sa's Crispy Chicken
Sounds great! Love the studio...what an amp collection!!!!
Dude that sounds killer...OMFG!!!!that right hand of yours :O ...and that awsome Mayones guitar...F.....K!!!!
I would love to hear this module into a Fryette power section like a two-90-two
Wow, super tight playing!!! Sounds great too! 🤘🎸
Damn that sounds good. Wish I could afford a synergy setup lol maybe someday
Browne and Rabea dropping a demo of the same product within an hour of each other ? What. A. Wednesday
Sounds just like it!
The Lavos mix sounds fantastic and what a killer track. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.
Good to see you back it action. Sounds awesome!!!!!
Would prefer this over the Mesa. Always had such a hard time dialing Mesa Mark heads
Mr. Browne being the only guy who knows how to dial this module 'cause it sounds fucking brutal.
His and Ola’s are the two best demos I’ve heard.
Sounds Great! might pick this up. Also awesome to hear of a new monuments record can't wait!!!!!!!
I had the word SPANKY in my head for like, 14 secs before you said it!

11:53 to 12:07 "The Hammer-on King"
Dude whats that song!?
One to look forward to!
15:00 FACEMELTING TONE
My personal favorite of this preamp so far.

Hey Boss, what pick do you use ? The attack of each note is massive !!! Great video !
That’s because he smacks the shit out of the strings. The BKPups play a part in that too. Any thin/hard pick will get you that desired effect
I really like the dunlop flow 1.5mm
1mm Max Grip!
I always know when you're testing something you enjoy when you have that fucking smile on.
Sounds like the chunk and tightness of a iic+ mixed with the grind of a silver jubilee
Do you ever get to play in front of a proper cab with the volume up or is it mostly through PA live and monitors in studio?
Sounds great! Very bold!
0:23 Fryette designed the original IIC+??
No. See our comment above ☠️
Liked already
I wasn't expecting you to namedrop Billy Talent while reviewing a Synergy module, awesome ahahah
I was looking at the synergy gear just now on Sweetwater
This and a simul-class power amp, the ones with EL34's and 6l6's...that would be freaking sick!
11:51 Damn thats a dope riff, hope it's from a song on the new album
Can’t wait for the new album 🙌🏽
hey john i know youre a busy man and stuff but i'd love to hear your opinion on any plugin that you think sounds decent for the broke blokes like me
Before you engaged the graphic EQ the tone was very blah to me....but as soon as you engaged the EQ, BOOM there was the magic!
Yeah, they made it react exactly like a IIC+. Treble up, bass down and then kick in the V shape graphic EQ - bliss.
serious question, why cant he move his neck normally

Best demo of this yet.
Thanks for the MIV comparison
yessss an affordable way to get a 2c+
Holy shit mate!
Looks like ya diggin this one man 😁
Sounds awesome!
I swear yesterday I thought about how cool it would be to have a MK Mesa module in Synergy, it's like they read my thoughts
fire!

cant believe browne knows billy talent!
Very close. Synergy makes good stuff.
YEEEEESSSSSS
Fryette had nothing to do with developing the MKIIC+
Just creating a timestamp for 11:52 incase it never becomes a song
Sounds an awful like Makeshift Harmony tbh
Привет из России!
Привет из Германии
I’m still wondering what happen with his neck 🌝
thing fucked!
Только ты спасаешь бро, русский гитарный ютуб совсем скатился!
я первый!)
A fan of j.Brown....not a fan of that particular tone
Why does it sound so awfull to me? Like 8 bit digital sound...
Sounds like single coils, bye

You literally have no idea what you're talking about, how embarrassing
