Glad to see you back on YT Browne. I know you've been killing it on Riffhard, but with a tone this good no one deserves to miss out. Hope you can get back to face-mulching the floor asap
Wow-sounds like the Disturbed guitar tone on the album Beleive! One of my favorite guitar sound -ear candy-albums. I’m pretty sure Dan Donegan was using the early modular amps (Randall) when that album was recorded. UPDATE--I just verified that this is the exact technology that Bruce Egnater designed with Randall. Randall let the licensing expire and Synergy took it over. They have expanded on the idea of course, but this is the same technology used by Hammet, Lynch, Donegan and others back in the 2000’s. What a great sound, idea and concept!
I own a deliverance 120, and it might be my favorite amp. The tone from that thing is unreal. And you are correct, you gotta fight it a little, cuz they're so dry, but it makes me a better player, and every note jumps out and sounds amazing.
Great demo John; your chord choices are sonically amazing! This module does indeed sound outstanding. It's kind of a bummer about the shared EQ but it looks like they're running out of space on, and probably inside, the module. It's going straight to the top of my wish list.
Fryette Amps Once you understand the power and flexibility of the Gain I / Gain II structure and assignable Presence/Depth controls, we guarantee you’ll forget all about the shared EQ. 🔥
I haven’t watched a single vid you’ve done John and thought...’nah, tone sucks’. It’s always just shades of shit hot. This module sounds amazing. Could be my favourite yet and the deciding factor in my getting into the mix on Synergy. I’ve got a modded JMP and I was looking at a Syn2 to add a clean channel and an alternative diet sound and this might be what swings in. Awesome demo man, awesome. Hope you get your neck sorted soon.
I love how it sounds. Amazing and nature texture sound of the Synergy Fryette Deliverence. But where is the 7 string? :D Thank you so much John! I wish you a speedy recovery :)
I remember when the VHT Deliverance amps came out and number of people on the Harmony Central boards were not fond of them at all. Man, those were the days
Serious comment here, have you you looked into any acupuncture for your neck as well? I started getting miserable migraines last year and did two months of sessions, once a week, and I haven’t had one since. I’ve gotten it for my wrist and hand, bone displacement, also some crazy Chinese body work. It all has helped. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Cheers to an easy recovery dude!
Metalbass10000 synergy was doing a sale last week. It may still be going on. I got a SYN 2 for $600 and 2 modules for $300 a piece. Reverb also has good prices, typically.
ok, getting this over the ultra lead module as i guarantee ill think the geq on the UL is too small. really like how tight this thing is. fryette are amps ive never had the chance to play and looking forward to the module! thanks John!
I have played a VHT Pitbull 100 CL through a VHT 4x12 Fat bottom at the local store back in the day and it was amazing. Gotta find and purchase one, one day. Played a deliverance as well and it was good but i prefered the pitbull by quite a bit.
Dude my neck has been that bad recently and I can tell you the main reason to get it fixed is to be able to play guitar properly again - I actually played faster and cleaner without practice for working out the issues with my shoulders and back. All the best with sorting it out!
Had the pleasure of owning and using a lot of pre-Fryette (the real VHT) products, and they have always been top notch. Check out the Fat Bottom 4x12 cabs. Greatest speaker cab made for metal, PERIOD.
@@JohnBrownemonuments if you do a video of the axe fx, i would love to hear your thoughts on how the synergy modules compare to the axe fx models, as there are axe fx models for most (or maybe all?) of the modules you've demoed.
one of my favourite people from a film is boyka ,,from undisputed ,as his manager says good knee bad knee no knee he is still the greatest fighter in the world ,,,,,you Mr Browne good neck no neck bad neck you are still one of the most amazing and baffling guitar players ive ever heard .....delight to listen to...thank you..

hey john! hayden here on my girlfriends account hehehehe, I STILL have the October tickets from the Vancouver show earlier this year, now im not gonna be THAT guy asking when youll play next as we all know no one knows. but however I am wondering again, will these tickets still be viable for the show if you guys are still planning to hit NA next? if not ill buy more no way im fucking missing this. also id love if there was a VIP option, ive been dying to meet you guys! one of my fav bands of all time. keep rocking!
@@JohnBrownemonuments thanks bro big fan of you, I am ex bass player from more than a thousand. Yes i did buy it and it is heavy as fuck but I believe will give me the sound I love pairing with syn-2 bogner UBERSCHALL and SUPER LEAD. Big hug.
Why did VHT have to change their name to Fryette? VHT was so much cooler. And yeah, about 10 years ago I was really gassing over amps like the deliverance and Sig:X. Never ended up getting one unfortunately. These are some of the most killer sounding amps for modern metal on the market and have been for years. I've always been a fan of that super dry, tight and punchy kind of high gain tone. It just allows you to be so articulate.
First of all, at the time VHT was totally pigeonholed as a metal amp company no matter how versatile the offerings were and secondly, Steve wanted the family name up front so he could say "See Mom? You're responsible for all the noise these dudes make" :)
Hell no, absolutely not. (Based on my Deliverance 60 head at least, haven’t played the synergy version) if anything it works the other way around, to get a sound as dry and clear with other amps you can’t use as much gain, so if those characteristics are important to you this allows for more gain (adding to sustain) while retaining them.
These tones are very close to the perfect metal guitar tone I have in my head.
Same here.
It’s got that flub I actually love but the clarity is of the charts which compliment the low end.
Sorry to hear about your neck, John. Hope you get it sorted soon!
Thanks Tom! You should pop over! I live about 6 miles away from you and it would be good to meet you!
11:01 a rare sighting, John Browne alternate picking
Lasted long tho 😆
Everyone keeps asking him what's his guitar neck but no one really asks how is his neck ;(
All the best with the neck treatment.
Lemon oil for both and all fixed!
@@AlanCessa wait lemon oil on a guitar neck? I don't think you should use it for that, only for the fretboard.
Forgive me for asking, but anyone knows what happened to his neck? Been wondering for a while

Interested in Axe Fx III vids for sure, obsessed with mine just like all my tube amps
Used to love the old VHT amps Page Hamilton was using back in the day, as you say, super dry and percussive!
He still uses them, the badge is the only thing different.
Everytime I watch John play I rethink my playing approach for the better! I'm convinced he's a wizard of wizardry 🎩
I love how you can hear every crazy note you throw at this thing.

What is this wear on the guitar head?
It look like jimmy clip but I can see it has difference between.

When it comes to being tight and articulate, VHT/Fryette is on top as far as I am concerned.

Gonstead chiropractics.
