  • Millicent Martin - Sommardröm
Single B-side, RCA Victor FAS 861, Sweden, 1971
Why Millicent Martin, English singer, actress and comedian born 1942, decided to release a single in Swedish remains a mystery. From the sound of it, let’s just say, that she’s probably not fluent in Swedish. If you have any stories behind this release please let me know.
The song Sommardröm is an original Swedish song and was written by the very talented composer Peter Totth and had been released the previous year by Swedish crooner Hayati Café. The A-side, containing her somewhat theatrical rendition of "If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your MInd" can be found here: • Millicent Martin - Om ...
Millicent Martin was born in 1942. Apart from numerous TV-shows, films, records, her more recent work includes roles as Joan Margaret in the “Grace & Frankie” (Netflix) as well Daphne’s mother Gertrude Moon in “Frasier” (NBC).
Enjoy! And if you do like it - let me know with a thumbs up or a comment! :) Or simply subscribe to my channel for more rare goodies. Here I present music that isn't easily available anywhere, always ripped from vinyl from my own collection.
