During the 70s Agneta Munther was a part of Family Four, an immensely popular vocal group in Sweden who were chosen two years in a row to represent Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest, 1971 and 1972. In 1975 she released her one and only solo album "Två Sidor", containing a mix of original songs and Swedish covers of international hits. In my opinion a very diverse album with some bold choices of songs, some pretty risqué lyrics, showing off Agneta’s clear and warm vocals, a unique phrasing and one of the best albums by a Swedish singer from that era.
"Paloma Blanca" is a perhaps not one of the stand out tracks, but a great version of the monster hit released in 1975 by Dutch group George Baker Selection and written by George Baker himself. Swedish lyrics by Marie Bergman (who sang together with Agneta in Family Four). This cover in Swedish has a completely different lyric than the other more common version by Siw Malmkvist, released around the same time.
