When you guys are cutting plastics, angle grinders aren't the best. Get a blue point mini reciprocating saw. The fine blades leave a nice edge and you can drill the corners to "connect the dots" in a way. The drill bit then leaves a nice rounded corner.
I'm just happy you didn't go with those blacked out ebay ones. Reminds me of ones you see on clapped out riced civics lol. Loved the chrome Denji ones you chose.
The period correct with clear corners look real good with the white paint! Solid choice! The black housing on 2nd set of lights would fit darker colored vehicles
Late 90s was wild bodykit time with ground control coilovers and 17" rims... probably racing hart c2 or something. Xenon kit or wings west was the top of the game... later on Tsunami.
I spotted a Moose!😂 This was such an enjoyable build series. Always love an EG hatch! EF build really did bring me back to my friends build back-in-the-day! Excited for more fellas!👏🏻
Editing has been on point as of late, great action sections follow with great dialog and explanations. This build was so so good, can't wait for the Dyno ❤
Love the headlights, convinced me to get a set myself. Believe it or not alot the trend is reverting back to oem taillights, the smoked or the 50/50's are falling to the wayside quickly. Heliograms look too close to rpf1 and personally at this point Id run the wheels that come on spare tires before using a free set of rpf1's or te37's for that matter. Really love the outcome of this one guys!
Nailed the front headlight and corner light combo. For the rear lights, i would rock the OEM amber turn signals. I would prefer the OEM front lip as well. Nonetheless, great build. Enjoy the contents you guys put out each weekend.
If you're painting the lip, paint the carbon spoiler to match - it's the best looking of the three, and has the best fitment (hadn't made it to that part of the vid yet - sand and spray the carbon!) 👍 Front lights are the best choice of what you had, but I think you need to match the front and rear. If you're going with the dark rears, switch to the dark ambers and dark denzos
Watching you swap out various headlights gave me flashbacks from "back in the day". I was soooo close to buying black housing projector headlights off of ebay, for my old EF. So glad I didn't...those were hideous! Thanks for taking me back.
Keep the smoked tails and put the 3rd brake light carbon wing on, paint the front lip black like you said. Love the build you guys always kill it with every car you touch!
Front and rear lights should match. So either both smoked or both clear. And use the "carbon fiber" rear wing, but sand it and use the trim paint so it matches the front lip. Then it would look much more cohesive, rather than a bunch of mismatched parts from the stash.
Def liked the carbon fiber one with the brake light. I seen a EG with a carbon tail that’s a nice option. N carbon hood. All love really enjoy your show
Correct headlights. I like the rear lights too. If you're painting the lower part of the front lip black, use the carbon roof spoiler to retain the third brake light?
The dark front headlight with the smoked amber corner light were way better looking. It gives a good contrast with the white paint. It also match better with the theme of the car black and white. Like the black wing, black door handles and black side skirts and lips. Please consider installing the dark headlight!
I think the first dark headlights are looking the best for the overall style...especially if the rear lights are smoked...they fit then with the whole car...
everything is awesome the way you did it. good taste. i would have done the same things. if you want to paint the intercooler black you can without the concern of warmer intake temps. seen a few videos of people painting them black and no side affects (before and after temps).
I liked the ebay headlights, and current tails don't look horrible. I'd be painting the spoiler in trim black to make it match the rest of the black stuff, maybe give the mirrors a coat of trim black also.
Front lighting choice is on point. I think the red/clear will compliment the front lighting the best. I do feel the hatch spoiler should be body color, but that's why there are options, right? Everyone can personalize things to their taste!
Paint the CF rear spoiler in the same SEM Trim Black! The CHMSL is an essential safety item for a street car. Too easy to miss that someone in front of you is braking if their car doesn't have one.
The black CF rear spoiler was definitely the way to go. Looking good with those wheels and the black accents.
CF fitment looks waaaayyy better.
I think the glossy wing painted with the same paint as the lip would bring the look together. Keep up the good work, boys!
Agreed!
I came here to say exactly this. Also, headlights good, tail lights bad 😂
x3 on the trim paint on the rear spoiler
Don't forget about the mirrors! Maybe just buy a set of knockoff spoon mirrors. They really tighten up the overall look of the car.
Came to say the same thing. Also the slightest of tint on the headlights will tie it all together.

14:25 a wild Moose appears.
Also, screws connected via the threads into the material, bolts connect via clamping force,
What about machine screws and nuts?
But what about applications where bolts thread directly into, say, the engine block or a brake caliper bracket? Instead of using a nut
The carbon fiber wing - painted to match the black trim would be really sweet. Great progress on the Civic!
This thing really needs the Spoon style side mirrors to top it all off 💪
Yep. Always hated the stock EG mirrors but the aftermarket spoon visibility also is terrible
I have them. They suck. You can't see very well out of the passenger side mirror
@@renndub but you look dope
Unpopular opinion but I really liked those first eBay headlights. They compliment the tail lights and overall look better.
Same. Not a huge fan of the clear corners and chrome. With all the black accents, those first headlights would've really set it off.
I third. The first headlights matched the "agressive but understated " theme better.
I'm just happy you didn't go with those blacked out ebay ones. Reminds me of ones you see on clapped out riced civics lol. Loved the chrome Denji ones you chose.
6:15 the large uneven panel gap between the C pillar and EK spoiler would drive me crazy
The first front lip, tinted windows all round and lose the mud flaps. The blacked out ebay headlights looked killer too...
I like the full OE look. Bumpers, spoiler, and lights are perfect from the factory.
The period correct with clear corners look real good with the white paint! Solid choice! The black housing on 2nd set of lights would fit darker colored vehicles
Watching all your civic builds makes me want to do my own project! Keep up the great work Pete and Dave!
I can’t even get around to putting sway bars on my Miata 🙃
You guys did an amazing job on the exterior. I’m 40 so it matches what I envision when I think late 90s eg. Perfect!
Late 90s was wild bodykit time with ground control coilovers and 17" rims... probably racing hart c2 or something. Xenon kit or wings west was the top of the game... later on Tsunami.
All clear taillights for sure an the headlight an corner light combo is perfection!!! I love the clear denji lights an oem clear corners
Euro headlights and amber corners is the way to go
I spotted a Moose!😂 This was such an enjoyable build series. Always love an EG hatch! EF build really did bring me back to my friends build back-in-the-day! Excited for more fellas!👏🏻
Eg looks beautiful! Tasteful mods not over the top and I love it!
Loving this build boys…plus there was a rare sighting of the southern Ontario Moose!
i love the carbon with the light inside of it think it fits better
Clean build guys. I like the fact you paint trim pieces to clean the car even more. Many don’t do that.
Your choice of headlights is perfect and yes please, get the period correct full clear tail lights❤
You picked the right headlight/corner combo! period correct and clear corner looks so good. Need the rear to match!
You guys should have painted the carbon spoiler (w/ center taillight) with the SEM Trim Black and ran that.
Editing has been on point as of late, great action sections follow with great dialog and explanations. This build was so so good, can't wait for the Dyno ❤

The first headlights tried takes your eyes away from the bad paint job on the bumper, the chrome ones seem to bring out the chips around the grills
Good call on the lip, I'd say go with your gut and get the clear tails and maybe throw some of the trim paint on the spoiler
OEM white taillights do look the best.
Clear Denjis always good to switch things up.
I like the carbon wing, but I would paint the top of it white and keep the underside carbon
If you’re painting the lip you should repaint all the side etc
I love those crome projector headlights and the tail lights look good with the tint not to black good work guys
I like the white paint matched wing, white lip, and paint the side skirts too!
The ambers and the projectors look SO good!! I liked the first Denjis
Black ceramic paint on the front mount intercooler would definitely complete the look. Build looks great guys!!!
I think smoked has had its day, OEM Plus with Clear for the win lol. Cracking job on this one as always, looking forward to the track battle.
Nailed the front headlight and corner light combo. For the rear lights, i would rock the OEM amber turn signals. I would prefer the OEM front lip as well. Nonetheless, great build. Enjoy the contents you guys put out each weekend.

The smoked headlights and corners look the BEST. imo. Smoked tails for the W
Great job Peter love the transformation can’t wait to see it on the Dino
The best moment of the week-end!!
@20:35 Oh man, I can't wait for that build!!!🤫🤜🏼🤛🏼
You guys brought back some good memories. Alteza style! Sweet build.
Watching you swap out various headlights gave me flashbacks from "back in the day". I was soooo close to buying black housing projector headlights off of ebay, for my old EF. So glad I didn't...those were hideous! Thanks for taking me back.
i don't understand how these guys don't have a million subs yet
Keep the smoked tails and put the 3rd brake light carbon wing on, paint the front lip black like you said. Love the build you guys always kill it with every car you touch!
That’s a nice bubble!! Great job guys!
Best auto channel on UA-cam!
I like the dark projectors...I'm almost almost 50
And, aren't flat tip screws, called machinist screws
Front and rear lights should match. So either both smoked or both clear. And use the "carbon fiber" rear wing, but sand it and use the trim paint so it matches the front lip. Then it would look much more cohesive, rather than a bunch of mismatched parts from the stash.
Put the molding line on the white front lip. Thatll give it a black lining for contrast with the side
Red clear rears, solid orange signal lights in the front
Smoked tale lights 👌🏽👌🏽
I prefer OEM style tails with clear vs smoke my self. Part of the maturing process getting older 😂
I like the dark headlights and corners
There are a few people who 3d print a gauge pod insert for that vent where you made one. They offer it in a double as well if you wanted 2 gauges
At first i was repulsed by the dark amber headlights but once the bumper cover was on I reaaaally liked them lmao!
Definitely made the right choice with those headlights
great vid and thanks for using the amazing 80's synth music, cheers!
I'd go with a semi-gloss black on the front lip and duckbill spoiler. To match the mirrors and other trim.
Always loved the own tail lights on my old eg
Yes on the clear lens
The car looks great. Awesome work.
Headlights are great, I'd go OEM tails - keep up the great work!
Clear tail lights is the perfect 90s match with Denjis
Car looks perfect with pick of front bumper headlights and rear towing and taillights 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍
The build looks great!
Brian from paint society used the same trim black on the crx restoration, it's just the right product for that job
I've done these bumper modifications to my 2019 STI to get the FMIC to fit.
A WILD MOOSE spotted!! Really like the black front lip
I believe they’re called “machine screws” amazing progression on the eg btw guys
I'd go for the carbon spoiler but either paint Matt or gloss black to solve the clear coat issue and plus it gives you the 3rd brake light
Def liked the carbon fiber one with the brake light. I seen a EG with a carbon tail that’s a nice option. N carbon hood. All love really enjoy your show
Love the taillights
Love it, looks fantastic
Another great build!
Keep those lights they look great, the orange makes the car look more older 16:04
Clean build guys
Turning out awesome!
looks good. i personally would go with rear wing, doorhandles and mirrors in trim black.
Correct headlights. I like the rear lights too. If you're painting the lower part of the front lip black, use the carbon roof spoiler to retain the third brake light?

Can't wait to see the dyno and drive! Amazing job guys!
The black headlights with black trim.👌
I think the first dark headlights are looking the best for the overall style...especially if the rear lights are smoked...they fit then with the whole car...
I loke to use headlight restoration kit on my cluster lens whem its out! It really bring it back to almost brand new condition!
You crazy. Both those duckbill's are badass and scream honda hatch.
Such a nice build.
I like the 50/50 tail lights
I think darker headlights would look better for sure! Looks so good regardless tho! Nicely done!
everything is awesome the way you did it. good taste. i would have done the same things. if you want to paint the intercooler black you can without the concern of warmer intake temps. seen a few videos of people painting them black and no side affects (before and after temps).
I liked the ebay headlights, and current tails don't look horrible. I'd be painting the spoiler in trim black to make it match the rest of the black stuff, maybe give the mirrors a coat of trim black also.
I think the rear wing in sem true black would tie everything together 👌
Front lighting choice is on point. I think the red/clear will compliment the front lighting the best. I do feel the hatch spoiler should be body color, but that's why there are options, right? Everyone can personalize things to their taste!
Love the build
Rear wing in gloss white. Rear taillights in red/clear. Keep the front headlights with what you chose (clear)!
Paint the CF rear spoiler in the same SEM Trim Black! The CHMSL is an essential safety item for a street car. Too easy to miss that someone in front of you is braking if their car doesn't have one.
It’s the euroglass for me 🔥
just beautiful !
