Several months ago my 1 year old great-grandson was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, cancer. After 8 chemotherapy treatments, surgery and being put under numerous times for tests the final results are in!!! My 18 month old great-grandson is officially 100% cancer free!!! Thank You Lord for answered prayers!!!
How wonderful Sylvia!! God is good, all the time!!
Thank you God!!!
Wonderful news! So happy for your family!
TY JESUS!! What a wonderful testimony!
Praise God. That is wonderful.
Easter is the most important day of the year. I pray for a blessed holy week and Easter to all that read this post.
To Kathy Halladay: Thank you. Praying best wishes for you also.
Same to you dear. Thank you 🙏🏽
Yes the Lord has risen!
I miss Easter bonnets, white patent shoes, frilly dresses for church!! Easter Sunday was special. 🥰🐣
Dear miss darlene, i also miss easter bonnets and all the things i remember from my childhood! Take care!😙☺😙
Me too! The wonderful Church celebration. Things are a little too casual for me but I’m 71 and remember the old ways.
How many remember dotted swiss fabric? Mother made most of my clothes & the first frilly dress was a beautiful lavender dotted swiss trimmed in white lace. It was beautiful to my 6 yr old eyes.(p.s. beautiful to friends also) I insisted each yr,thereafter, to be dotted swiss in different pastel colors. Pink or yellow or any. 8yrs old & Mother insisted I should choose something else...lol I cried. I had my last dotted swiss trimmed yellow w rickrack. I happily had many beautiful dresses in years to come from my talented, wonderful Mother...memories.
I loved Mary Janes
Me too! I wish we would go back to those days...they were so special and beautiful! 😍
My grandmother bought me an Easter dress and basket every year until I turned 18,kinda upset me that she stopped, lol.
Can't find my glasses and I am having some difficult to see
Lol. God bless ur Grandmother. Now you can return her love and kindness.
Honey I'm 75 am I I made all my kids their Easter baskets and then all my grandchildren the grown daughters they had to have an Easter basket to I get it I know where you coming from I made myself one but why not
Now you make them for her or if she is not around make it for your Mother
She still loves you. I don't get clothes for my teen granddaughter anymore bc I have granny taste, lol!
He Lives, He Lives, Christ Jesus lives today! You ask me how I know He Lives? He Lives within my heart❤️! Happy Easter and God Bless y’all.
Glory to God 🌟
on the highest! 🙏💜
Love it, I was singing with you!
Singing it too.
I love that song. Thank you for reminding me of it Mrs. Domino. I hope you have a blessed week.
I was reading your comment (song) 😇I was singing reading it ❤️
We were always excited as kids for our Easter outfits,we always dressed up for church too, those days are long gone. The dessert look so delicious, I love the flavor of anything lemon as well.
Hi Ruth... MANY years ago (I'm almost seventy-years-old) my Mom always made matching dresses for us girls & herself for Easter Sunday church services...We also wore pristine white gloves... 😇 Still such happy memories...BTW, "lemon" is also one of my very favorite flavors...I miss my lemon trees that were just outside my kitchen door in southern CA... *: )*
My maiden name was simpson
Happy Easter HE is RISEN!!!!!!
"He Has Risen Indeed"!💝🙏
Amen
We use too hid little gifts and Easter eggs out around our property and and The Easter Bunny would leave a secret map in our house. Fun day for the kids . All new Kites flying in the afternoon in the field. Look like a delisoue Easter desert.Happy Easter Jesus has risen!
Amen!✝️
Amen
Praise God he sent his son for us we could never repay his sacrifice, but we can pray he will save us so we will see him someday. Looks so yummy blessings to everybody....
Yes thank you our heaving Father
Thank you Heavenly Fatherthank you for Life itself
My 5 and 8yo daughters and I had a conversation about Easter last night and they were even moved to tears talking about how Jesus gave his life to pay for our sins. I understand kids enjoy holidays however I make sure mine know the true reason behind them.
Good job! We need more parents just like you! Thank you!!!💕
@@stsw4314 thank you but I'm just making sure they know the most important truth in life
My five year old asked me the other day why there were bunnies everywhere for Easter- it's about God and that doesn't have anything to do with bunnies, he said. ❤️
@@audreyvann5336 exactly 🥰🙏
You are a good and loving mom! Bless you and Happy Resurrection Sunday 💕
Oh those were the days.my mother made my dress.Allthe women & little girls wore hats & gloves.we' go to church go home have dinner.a egg hunt! Kids playing outside, adults sitting on the porch & yard!!! Sweet memories
That haircut was meant for you!!! Thanks for the recipe. 🐰
Yes! I forgot to say! Just adorable on her face, she looks saucey and youthful,
She's such a dear heart 💕
I am 61.. when i was a child we always got a new Easter outfit complete with little straw hat.. we woke up to chocolate bunnies and treats at the foot of our beds
This looks delicious! My friend Laura made a shortcut for the crust by using Pecan Sandies. She crushed them and added a small amount of butter so she didn’t have to bake the crust or wait for it to cool. It was wonderful. You might want to try this sometime.
I love your friend's shortcut idea.
I love that!!! I am short cut Kim in the kitchen!
This crust is going to be so good.
That sounds so good!
That sounds fantastic! Thank you for the idea.
We never got to go to church growing up. Early one spring, I was nine, I developed accute appendicitis. It had been there so long that I had presepsis & the white count was too high to operate. Dr gave antibiotics until the white-count came down to a safe level.
It was touch & go until the Dr did the surgery, 4 days later. But then I caught double pneumonia ... again it was touch & go for another week.
I know my daddy prayed and made a vow to God that he would take us to Church when I survived.
By the grace of God, I was discharged on Good Friday.
My first time in a Church was on Easter Sunday.
My mom sewed me a yellow dress with white rick-rack since I had lost so much weight.
Daddy got us white gloves, shoes, and lace-trimmed anklet socks and a white straw hat with a yellow ribbon.
My first Church & my first Easter.
Boy you look amazing. Nice haircut. I’m a hairdresser. You look much, much younger! ❤️❤️❤️‼️
Right?! 💕
I love the new haircut!
I love your new hair cut/style. It does make you look younger ! Love your channel.
I'm a stylist as well. Her haircut looks great, doesn't it?
An updated and fresh look for springtime.
🙂
Your hair is lovely! You look so much younger!
I miss the simple life. No shopping on Sunday, church bells waking us an hour before services, grandma's kitchen where everything was delicious and was made with love. My grandma, God rest her soul, is the one who taught us forgiveness, unconditional love, and the ways of the Lord. I miss her so much. She was a true lady and a pure soul.
Oh Ms. Lori....I simply love your hair!!!!
I miss the Easter’s we had as a child, then when my mom was alive, and we were grown, we took our families to her house. They are treasured memories. This desert looks delicious. My mouth literally started watering 😊 that would be dangerous to have around here by myself.
Love lemon ANYTHING! Yes, the year has gone by so quickly.... the older I get the more quickly the years pass. I also participate in Holy Week services which are beautiful reminders too...blessings on you and your dear family Miss Lori!
Have a Blessed Easter Holiday, Everyone 🙏💐
Oh my goodness!!!! I love your new haircut- you make it look great!!!! Thank you for the recipe too... I love anything lemon 🍋 Happy, and Blessed Easter to you, and your family!! ✝️🌿🕊🌷🌷🌷🥰🙏🏻
Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and your time. I have stayed up many nights just watching your videos. You and Mr. Brown bring a smile to my face. Your chats between the two of you take me back to a time when I was young and I would stay with my grandparents. I recall laying in a bedroom just outside the living room and listening to their quiet conversations. It was always so comforting to me even though I couldn't always hear what they were saying. It was just the feeling of being safe and secure as they spent time together.
I remember doing the same when I stayed with my Grandparents
I miss my Momma and Grandmother making Easter so special when I was a child
How did you know that I was looking for an Easter dessert with lemon?? I truly was! Thank you!
Your hair is gorgeous 🤩! Thank you for the recipe 😊 things are so different now
I LOVE LEMONY ZINGY DESSERTS!
Ah...what memories. I was the lemon lover and my Grandma always made this when we visited around my birthday. The boys were chocolate lovers and they got the chocolate version. She has been gone many years now, thanks for the sweet memories.
You are so beautiful inside and out! I love your hair! Ms Lori, you and Mr Brown are just beautiful people! I love lemon desserts also!
This should be called Heavenly Lemon Lush. It is so good!! I took this to a Memorial Day party last year and everyone raved about it. I’m taking it to an Easter party this weekend. So easy to make.
My mam was an excellent seamstress and she made my sister and I each a dress and sometimes a play outfit for later in the day so we didn’t mess up our pretty Easter dresses. When my little later in life brother came along, she took one of daddy’s old suits and cut it up and made him a little Easter suit. We always got an Easter basket too. I miss those days and I really miss my mama and daddy. Have made this dessert several times in the past, but haven’t made it in a few years. Think it might be on my list for Easter this year.
Wonderful memories
You are lucky to have good memories of your mom and dad. ♡Linda Winters♡
I absolutely love lemon and will try this soon. It's so easy to put together and will be a wonderful light dessert for Easter dinner.
When I was a child, the local newspaper took pictures of me in my Easter dress, looking in the mirror above the fireplace mantel. They published it in the Easter Sunday edition.
Love the new haircut.
It is a shame about the holidays being more commercialized 🙏❤️
I'm a chocoholic but in those hot summer months, I prefer citrus based desserts.
✝ Happy Easter!! ✝
I love me a citrus sweet unless it is vanilla mixed with orange or tangerine. I do not like that creamcicle taste.
I absolutely love ❤️ your new cut and hair style..Lemon is my favorite..TFS..❤️❤️
You know it’s sad that I always got a new dress shoes and bonnet and basket and we always dressed up and went to visit my grandparents. I raised my 4 kids in church and went to the sunrise service and we did Easter eggs ,now for the sad part, we are raising two of our grandsons, time has not been kind to us. We are both disabled and I have had to adapt so I can’t take them on a regular basis and they have not learned near enough about Jesus. I do speak to them about our Jesus and pray as they get older they will have it on their heart to pray and grow closer to God.
Hi Vickie I will pray for your family , I can relate to your story it becomes very difficult to get around and live the life we once did once our body has health challenges . Jesus knows you are giving all you can with the resources you have.
I will pray for you and for them. God bless you.
Me too😊👍
🙏If there is a computer in the home, or even satellite/cable, you can enjoy many teachings of various denominations ANY time😉👍🏻
First: TY GOD for John 3:16! Matthew 28: 5-6 HE IS RISEN! Secondly, TY Miss Lori for your channel. It has been a blessing in more ways than you could know! This past year was a bit difficult in CA and hopefully there will be more light at the end of the tunnel in the coming days ahead. Lastly, I ordered 2 of your cookbooks for when you reorder, take care of your allergies, and May God Bless you and your family as you gather this Sunday. 🦋
Thank you sweetie
It seems like the older we get the faster time flies! GOD BLESS YOU AND MR.BROWN!!!
My very favorite dessert. Some times I'd just like to jump in and roll around in it. Barbara
I will never forget my Pastor Lee, and what he did one Easter. On Good Friday we had teaching and prayer and he turned the lights out and we left in silence, remembering Christ’s sacrifice. There was also a casket brought to the front to make it even more real as the pastor said the final prayer.
On Easter Sunday, we came in and noticed the casket was still up front, which seemed strange. Pastor Lee then brought out his accordion and we sang some Easter songs then He looked at the ushers and they came forward. The band began He Lives, He Lives! And they opened the casket and balloons went out, and everyone cheered!
Nobody will ever forget it!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Very impactful
When you were saying ye use to get the children new dresses for Easter, it brought back happy memories for me, always new dresses, shoes, then going to mass, wearing our white hats. Both my parents are gone now and I still miss them so much, but love being reminded of such happy memories. Happy Easter to you all, May God bless ye
Same here when I was a little girl....white shoes, white filly socks, and new frock...frilly white gloves, and a new Easter bonnet/hat...and flowers for Mom to wear to Church, and everyone was at church Sunday morning delighting in the joys of a risen savior and the beginning of spring. Then home to Easter lunch/brunch with friends and family. What wonderful days!!! Oh my, nearly forgot...Easter Egg Baskets and the Easter Egg Hunts !!!! It was real colored boiled eggs when I was a kid; but with my children it was the bright plastic eggs with treats inside...either way it was great fun !!!
I do both. We dyed Easter eggs today and we had the colored plastic eggs to find. Some Easter traditions don't need to change. We still wear our Sunday best and drive to Mass with Easter hats and our hair done nicely. The gloves and the white patent leather Mary Jane's are gone, and so are the Easter corsages, but the most important thing is still there. Christ the Lord is risen, Alleluia!
Best quick version of this recipe I've seen! Yes, lemon pie filling would really put it over the top!Thank you!😋💖
You look so beautiful Miss Lori!! ❤
My favorite memory of Easter as a kid was my Easter basket. My mom always made certain that in my basket was a large white chocolate Easter egg that was hollow. Inside it was more candies. White chocolate is my favorite and she knew it. Of course, I had to wait until after Mass before I could even think of touching it. Happy Easter, everyone.
Good memories
@Linda Garris do you live far from your kids and grandkids?
We love “Lemon Lush”! We also make it with butterscotch pudding which we call “Butter scotch Spectacular” , then with chocolate pudding which we call “Better Than Sex”! I don’t know about that, but we’ve had some fun with this recipe! Happy Resurrection Sunday Lori and Mr Brown!
And here in Indiana, we called it the next best thing to Robert Redford 😁
Our family calls the pistachio version Green Death
@@pamelaulrich8615 That is what my neighbor called it when I was a kid!
Banana with slices, coconut with flake coconut, cherry, strawberry. lime !
@@dublj57 That's fantastic! The term "Green Death" has a history..."Paris green" which is basically arsenic, was used as food coloring in the 19th century. It killed a lot of people and made the survivors wary of fake Green color food for generations.
My sister used to make this for family picnics in the 1970s and it was always a hit. I made this for the first time a few weeks ago and it was as good as I remember. In the future, I will halve the recipe because it makes a very large amount suitable for a potluck or family event.
I love anything lemon, this one is a keeper. Your home looks so beautiful with your Easter decorations
I make this with coconut crème pudding mix, add a handful of coconut in the pudding and toasted coconut on the top. Very yummy!
Yummy. This is so good. I sprinkle some of the nuts that I used in the crust on top so people that have nut allergies have fair warning that there are nuts in this dessert.
What? No sneak attack? Lol...My nieces husband, a very nice young man, is allergic to shrimp. Years ago while visiting me I served them shrimp/tomato bisque as a first course. He was so polite, he was going to try to eat around them! When I suddenly realized what I had done, I took the spoon right out of his hand and disappeared into the kitchen with his bowl. I came back with a bowl of beef barly soup, microwaved from the frig.for him. Nobody is gonna put a damper on one of my candle lit suppers with a case of anaphylaxic shock! Lol.
Thank you for the wonderful recipe and the therapy session, Miss Lorie. This crazy world seems so much more manageable after watching you.❤
Your hair is SO adorable!!
Hallelujah He has Risen! This sounds delicious. I love lemon deserts.
Be blessed.
Your hair looks fabulous in this video. Thank you so much for bringing me joy.
Looks great. It was nice to hear your family stories. My grandkids came today with their dresses white gloves and bonnets. Was thrilled to see that tradition carried on. Boys had dress shirts and ties and the little one had a pastel plaid cap on. Adorable. God Bless
Good Afternoon Miss Lori..🤩 I just luv all ur lil Easter 🐣 decorations..so pretty. I was thinking on a lemon desert of some nature for Easter, now I found it! This looks sooo yummy.. 😋 l love 🍋 and the smell of them.🥰 I hope you have a blessed day! Luv ya'll.❤

Love your hair! It's been awhile since I've watched but saw this lemony dessert and had to stop in
Mom sewed my sis and I dresses every year. Church services were packed. I can smell the fresh baked nutrolls and kielbasa!
God bless you and your family.
It's important to bring tradition and religion into the present with us.
Yes Christ lives He lives !!! I love Easter because my Savior lives !!So thankful my Savior lives! I would not be able to make it if it wasn’t for my Lord and Savior!God bless you all.
God bless Jean
I remember Patton leather shoes, seems I always had them scuffed before church.
“Patent Leather.” Yes. So dressy! ❤️
I remember polishing them with Vaseline.
Your house looks so pretty with your Easter decorations. I'm with you Lori, lemon is my favorite. I also bought my girls pretty little Easter dresses and shoes and my son dress pants and a new shirt and usually shows for Easter Sunday church. They got Easter baskets and loved hunting for eggs, it was a more simple innocent time for us.
Oh my goodness my mouth is watering.🍋🍋.. thank you for that wonderful recipe .....have a very Happy Easter. 💐🐣💐
Happy Resurrection Day everyone. God bless you Lori and Mr. Brown & all you family and friends! Glory to the Almighty God.
I'm loving your hair!!! I'm going shorter everytime I get it cut.....Thank you for the delicious recipe.
I’m getting shorter (in stature) every time I walk! 😂 at least that’s what my kids tell me. A little humor for the day And Yes, Miss Lori’s hair looks great! Blessings ur way🦋
@@katg.2628 Same here and blessings to you and yours.
My Mother always made this. We all loved it. Mom is gone now. The recipe was lost. Thank you for posting this!! Happy Easter!!!!!
Oh thank you Ms Lori. Like you, I love anything lemon.!
New outfits, church recitals, Easter baskets, hunts and a special dinner. Dear God, thank You.
Happy Easter, dessert looks wonderful, anything lemon and cream cheese has to be good. Yes, cold desserts are easy and refreshing. Thank you
I love Easter for so many reasons, but I guess for me , being in church yesterday just reminds me of the suffering Jesus went through and all he did for us. It’s so humbling.
I love your hair- you keep changing it up! Lol!
This dessert looks amazing, this will be on our Mother’s Day menu this year! Happy Easter to you and Mr Brown... He has Risen!🙏🏼✝️💐
This looks really delicious. I bet your husband is always glad when you do recipes like this for the channel! Yummmmmy
That is a 4 layer desert. I have made these for years.I used to make them for my husband. Sometimes chocolate on half & pistachio on the other half. Also instead of pudding put 2 different cans of pie filling. Mix 1 vanilla pudding, 1 can crushed pineapple & 1 cool whip on top. The possibilities are endless

You look fantastic! Love your haircut.
This is my favorite dessert. I've used other puddings but lemon is my favorite
Your hair is just gorgeous! Happy Resurrection in advance...
I am going to try to make this the next time my family comes over to eat. Watching this I could almost smell it. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week.
This is my family’s favorite dessert! We call it 4 Layer Dessert and most of the time use chocolate pudding. Will be doing lemon for Easter!!
Yummy!!! I'm fixing this for Easter. I wanted you to know. Thank you so much for this recipe.🐰. I live in N. Central Arkansas. Not to far. HE IS RISEN. GOD BLESS 🙏
Love your hair Happy Easter
Thank You for this Wonderful looking dessert recipe. I cannot wait to try it!
Chocolate is our favorite! I use chopped Almonds because my family doesn't care for pecans.. Sooo good!
I too love anything lemon and this looks delicious! Love your channel, you guys are the sweetest and most humble on the internet. I too live in Arkansas and I can remember my mother, who died in 1966, saying she used to live in Imboden when she was a little girl. Nothing like good ole southern cooking and baking! You guys stay healthy.
This looks wonderful! Love your presentation, too. 🙂
This has been one my family’s favorite Easter deserts for many years ♥️
Lemon Lover, I am going to make this for Easter. Thanks
So sorry for your loss. Your mom was a dear sweet lady. Heaven was rejoicing
Brings back so many precious memories, want to make this for easter. I love your beautiful easter wreath, and your hair is just beautiful on you. Happy easter you guys and god bless you in every way.
I remember those days and was just speaking of it to a much younger coworker .. Easter was a very special day .. new outfits from head to toe and even a purse and sunglasses .. It was a fresh new time with hope and endless possibilities
This is one of my favorite desserts and have had it with most of the puddings in it. Must tell you my sister-in-law and I were cooking for Easter together one year and we were trying to make this way back with it was a newer let's say dessert and she had accidentally gotten lemon meringue cooked filling instead of the pudding that's all we had so we made it up but she was so worried that it was not going to taste good and this is ended up being my favorite feeling takes a little longer cuz you have to let the cooked filling cool down but wow and if you like lemon you should try that meringue filling in there also. Love and God bless I hope you've come through all the storms in the rains okay bless you
We are good! Thank you!
You can also use pie filling for the pudding layer. I remember my aunt in Oklahoma making it with cherry pie filling and she called it Cherry Crunch. It was as delicious.
I save time and baking by using a box of Lorna Doone shortbread cookies for the bottom layer. Instead of plain Cool Whip for the top layer, I use half of the container of Cool Whip, a box of instant Vanilla pudding and 1 1/2 cups of milk. So YUMMY!!!
yes, my mother sewed our matching pastel Easter dresses with white collars for my sister and me! we had the white Easter hats and white gloves! And we had black patton leather shoes! we loved Easter service, Mom played the piano at our First Baptist church! Good times!
I love lemon anything! Xoxoxo
I know you do!
I have been making this recipe for at least 30 years and my family still asks for it at every family gathering!
I can’t wait to see if I made the list for the cookbook! Thanks Lori!
Your voice is very calming. I lost my second child March 7th this year and searching the net watching videos for my sanity. Your video was very enjoyable and calming. Thank you.
Looks so good 😊
This is my favorite dessert to make. Everyone loves it too. I’ts my all time favorite for Easter.
Hope you have a blessed Easter! And thank you for your videos. I so enjoy watching them.
I love your haircut and I'm going to try this recipe!
I love this dessert and as a hairdresser of almost 45 years, I also love your new ‘do!
