My wife and I just sponsored Lucky for another year 2019-2020. We are so blessed to be able to make this contribution to help the community and to help Lucky 🍀! God Bless you all!
Hey y’all! Thanks for all the support and the love from everyone who commented. We didn’t do this for the glory. We did it to raise awareness and to encourage others to help out as much as you can. Support for a year was only about 300$US. We hope everyone can kick in as much as they can. Thanks again for the love and support!
The man who took the fist steps to give this beautiful and intelligent creature it's freedom should not be made to incur the financial burden by himself. Failure to help compensate those who take great personal and financial risks in order to identify/track down, and then secure the release of the elephants only discourages others from coming forward and helping.I thank him for having a wonderful sense of compassion and I hope he can be rewarded.
I saw Lucky at the Elephant Nature Park yesterday (10th April 2013), and she now has a "friend" elephant who has bonded with her and stays with her, helping her find her way around the park. It is wonderful to see these poor abused elephants find a new life with a new adopted family their own. What is amazing to me is how these Elephants forgive humans despite the tortures they have suffered at the hands of so many. The Elephant is more compassionate than any human - we need to learn from them.
Colette Nevin So very true, they’re full of compassion & forgiveness, we could all learn from them!!!! I’m so happy for Lucky & her new found home & friends. I bet the elephants know she’s blind since they’re so smart!!🌸🌺❤️❤️🌺🌸💜🦋💜❤️
Totally agree. I've worked with elephants in past in Africa and Burma at elephant sanctuaries. Not only are they extremely intelligent, but they are so gentle and caring. Elephants are all about family. And their emotional intelligence probably surpasses that of humans. Such beautiful inquisitive mammals just like cetaceans.
Bless this man for rescuing Lucky and fostering her and allowing her to proceed to her next chapter. If it wasn’t for this gracious man Lucky may not have made it to her final journey. The world is full of quiet heroes 🙏
I love the warm welcome Lucky received from the other elephants! How sweet the elephants are to each other. We could learn a thing or two from elephants, I just love these sweet , gentle giants.
Lucky is so fortunate to have gone to Lek's Sanctuary. The welcoming committee is adorable. She must have thought she landed in paradise with all the sisters there to welcome her. She must have been so lonely before. The previous owner is a good man to let her go to a happier place. Bless him and everyone concerned. I pray she lives a long happy life with Lek and all her new sisters! Wow, this is 7 years ago it's now 2020! So heartwarming!
Visiting this sanctuary last summer with my daughter was a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience. The entire park, it's employees, the standards of care, and overall beauty of the property kept us at awe the entire visit. They work so hard everyday tending to the needs of all the animals! Elephants, buffaloes, dogs, cats, etc.. It's truly a magical place to visit while in Thailand!
This was so amazing, including the poor guy who cared for her and gave her away so she can get better care. He must have loved her allot to do that. Good ending.
+MarkUs FinSki : What a good man. And he's someone who basically had no resources! But he had so much compassion for this sweet elephant. And now I have something in my eye... Damn him! J/k... It truly gives me faith in (some of) humanity.
I went to Surin elephant village last year. The leader told me that if you don't have time and money you should take them to good place instead because they will follow you everywhere you go, you don't have time to do anything. That's why there are many elephant show villages, so the owner will have a job and money to feed elephant and don't take them away. But I still support nature park more than circus, I can't stand seeing them as a show. There are still many street begging elephants that taken by the owner for money, hope someone can help them too ( I saw a elephant fainted once)
Good bless you all for saving this lady. I hope that she will enjoy her new home in paradise for a long time to come. This has warmed my heart and made my day. Thank you!
I'M GLAD THAT LUCKY'S OWNER HAD ENOUGH LOVE FOR HER TO GIVE HER OVER TO SOMEONE WHO COULD AFFORD TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF HER AND SHE'LL MAKE LOTS OF NEW FRIENDS AT HER NEW HOME!!!😃🐘🐘🐘😍🙋☺🙏➕👍🇺🇸

The whole herd came running to love and greet lucky they all know how important it is to the new arrivals to be made welcome and shown they are safe and loved
This brought tears to my eyes! So sad what happened to her and now, thanks to all the people involved, she is free for ever! Its like you could see the smile on her face! Bless her beautiful heart and soul! She is so precious! Live free beautiful girl, no more chains, hooks or performances!! 🐘❤❣
This is a really lovely incident and story of the elephant being rescued. Full marks and admiration to the man who rescued her initially with his own money.
Everytime a heartwarming moment, when the resued elephant coming home, and well be enjoyed ba the herd ❤ thank you Lek+ Darrick and "Co" for this healing work
It is really sad that the circus ruined her eyesight. But she is probably in the best place she can live with this disability. People need to continue to spread the word to others to avoid any circus that owns animals.
What can we do to against the circus, I wish government will do something, so cruel to destroy our good fellow in this planet, so sad that innocent Luck has to suffer blindness in so long life , how painful she is. Thank you Lek caring her !

It is time that the world need to learn "WE do not need these Elephants or any other animal taken away from their families and ask them to perform according to the man's likings while getting beaten up heavily with massive abuse. Instead it is time to show Compassion & empathy towards them. Firstly, "THANK YOU"to the Person who bought Her from the circus and saved her life. Also now given her the much needed freedom to hang around with other members of her own kind. This was a very moving video, yet, with a happy ending. THANKS to ALL of you.
Sending much love to lucky and to all the elephants in the world. Please help and be aware that these magnificent beings are highly intelligent and emotional.
it is a real shame they need rescuing in the first place! it is long past time that people should leave animals alone and get on with their own lives. i do have a lot of respect for anyone who helps and saves animals. thanks for sharing this super video
Dion Fitzgerald In principle I agree, but sadly humans are wrecking this planet for other species, and "leaving them alone" is no longer enough to save many species which are most vulnerable to environmental degradation (plastics, Climate change) and (for example) human land-hunger because of our failure to control our own population. It is also to our shame that the very rarity and extraordinariness of some species is the very reason that they are being hunted to extinction - often for nothing more than trinkets (ivory - see the bangle @ 1.55-2.05) or the futile, ignorant and desperate search for a cure for impotence by ghastly (but rich) old men with nothing better to think about than their shrivelled dicks: Rhinos, Tigers, Pangolins, Narwhals etc etc etc (Not to mention rare-to-point-of-extinction botanicals with similar imaginary "magical" properties.)
james oconnor , wow... that’s a dream of mine to volunteer there and help. So glad you got to go experience the heart fulfilling adventure!! God bless from Ohio!! 💕🤗💕🙏🏻💕🙌

You are an angel, Lek. Your people are amazing. Your herd will care for Lucky for the rest of her life. Thank you for everything you all do for these magic animals.
They’re so loving and welcoming toward each other. No stupid cliques hating on the new kid. No one saying, What is SHE doing here, this is OUR place. No one rejecting because she has a disability. Just think how much better our society would be if we were this way toward each other: By your sheer existence, you are important.
it broke my heart when i heard that she got blind because of circus lights.... thank you ENP for giving her another chance to live in happiness
This is why I never supported circuses. I am glad you were able to rescue her. God bless everyone who does this difficult and ethical work.
The man who bought this wonderful creature to free her into a paradise forever home is an angel!!

ELEPHANTS ARE SO LOVING TO THEIR KIND, AND I LOVE WATCHING THEM TOGETHER... FREE IS THE ONLY WAY... AND MOTHER EARTH NEEDS HER CREATURES TO BE SET FREE TO ROAM THE LANDS AGAIN... TO PUT THEIR URINE AND DUNG BACK INTO THE SOIL.... FOR HER HEALTH AND WELFARE IS AT STAKE TOO... IF WE DON'T DO THIS!!! I AM SO GRATEFUL TO THESE BEAUTIFUL SANCTUARY PEOPLE... I CAN'T FIND THE WORDS TO TELL THEM HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING FOR THE ELEPHANTS!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!
Such a beautiful story. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank God for Lek. She's my hero. Hope to meet you one day. You are a saint.
Thank you Lek ...you will always be closest to God ♥️
