Raleigh is the capital, so it gets first choice. RTP’s in Durham, but Raleigh takes a lot of Durham’s shine. Compare metro Durham’s GDP to cities like Tulsa, Columbia, SC, and Greenville, SC, Durham’s underrated.
I like both cities however when saying Raleigh is twice the size of Durham..that means it would have to have a population of 600,000 not 400 + and its size 145 sq miles vs Durham 117 ..Is not twice the size also. Raleigh is a segregated city when Durham is more cultural, Raleigh doesn't have a access to its downtown like other major cities. But Durham does.. But like you said you can't loose with either
But city population & metro population are two different things. For example, Atlanta's city population is about 500K but we all know Atlanta is at least 5 times bigger than Raleigh. Durham county's population is about 325K versus Wake County's 1.1Million.
I can't decide weather to visit Charlotte or Raleigh/Durham. My fiance and I live in Portland, OR. I want to live somewhere with more cultural diversity (more black people) and a more liberal part of NC. I'm worried if we don't move this year these areas will be out of our home budget which is like 330k right now
Thank you for watching our video. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss the next video in the series.🌍🛣
Thank you for your video. Excellent both cities to go or to live
You're welcome! Let me know if there are any specific areas you would like me to cover. Also, I agree with you!

Tabaco was the only crop they could grow when the colony was settled. Pre USA. It is N.C.'s or was their biggest cash crop
I would have never known. History was not my favorite subject 😂
