Glad to find your channel, and all the great info on the area. I had been looking at Raleigh, but more recently am focusing on Durham. Looks and sounds like such a nice town! Looking forward to visiting in March to check it out in person.
Thanks so much for watching! Both Raleigh and Durham are great areas! Feel free to reach out to us at 919-694-4228 if you have any questions prior to your visit!
Y'all are adorable. I lived in Raleigh for 24 years. Moved to Durham 3 years ago and totally agree with your assessment. Both cities are unique in what they offer, but I have to give a vote to Durham for diversity, congeniality and overall quality of life. Traffic is SO much better and people who live here love Durham, and it shows.
I appreciate you speaking to diversity. I’m a black woman and herbalist with my own business. As a kid I live in knightdale with my family. I’m thinking about moving back to NC to the Durham area. As someone who is into nature, wellness, and spirituality (not religious) do you think I’d be able to find a nice community there?
I have to agree with diversity and culture in Durham. I'm from Raleigh and recently moved from North hills to Downtown Durham. Big difference but Durham feels like Raleigh 10 years ago. Not saying that bad as some people would prefer that. However, the lack of convience (grocery store in walking distance, gym. Etc) is personally killing me. That will come in time. Overall Durham is not to bad!
Thanks for watching! Yeah lack of convenience is definitely a downside right now in downtown Durham. I think it will get better in time too, especially as the city grows more dense.
The general cost of living (food, healthcare, gas, utilities, etc) will be roughly the same. However, housing is generally less expensive in Durham than in Raleigh! That will be the main difference between the two areas. Thank you for watching!
Looking to relocate coming from NYC! Which area is best for a young professional. Looking for a great agent who is professional with personality and extremely knowledgeable

We’re looking from out-of-state…Which one has better cost of living, looking at real estate it looks like Durham is more affordable for a family home.

Great video! Which city would you recommend for a liberal?
Thanks for watching Anna! Overall I think this is a really balanced area but I would say Durham and Chapel Hill tend to be a little more progressive!
Please don't come here.
