Done!
Without a doubt, the hack which could return at least 12 life hours of frustrated moments is the blow dryer on the dang labels! All good info, thanks!
Hi ive got another good idea for hang up plastic jars by mounting the lids in a row (say eyelevel) on to the rack and just put the jars back on..this is a space saver ...
Who can't use that hack on how to remove labels and stickers? Even if you don't craft, people need to take price tage or other things off. What a great tip!
Right?! When I figured out how to remove labels ... my life was changed! Thanks for watching 😀
That dry erase hack blew my mind. Thanks
Love the Parm cheese brush cleaner idea.
It's so good! Thanks for watching David :)
Since I use wooden beads to make small doll replicas of my friends I really love the jar-paint-shake hack! Genius! The thinner paint in various skin colors gives a really nice texture that I could never achieve heretofore.
Some great new tips. Love the bead painting hack...If you string the beads on some thread before putting them in the jar to paint, you can hang them across anything firm like a cardboard box with notches cut in the top...so the beads dry evenly and without drying blotches on them.
Great tip! Thanks for that Darlyn
Stringing the beads on pipe cleaners work, too!
Number 6 is a life changer!! I hate when the glue stick keeps falling out!
THANK YOU FOR THE TIPS!!👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much for watching!!
The cheese jar lid also fits on a standard mason jar.
Use an empty pill bottle as a sharps container. Put dull needles, bent pins, and broken-off utility knife blades into it, and discard it safely when full.
A Hack video with hacks that actually make sense! Very helpful!
Love all your "hacks" and projects! I'm a bit of a "late bloomer" at 75, but am having a blast doing crafts. Thank you so much.
Never such thing as too late! So glad you enjoyed watching Neomi :)
I’m 72. I have always been “too busy” and funny but as soon as I start doing artwork or anything I am going to make - my family has some crisis and everything is put on hold. I’m hoping I get to finish a few things before I have to put my projects away… I LOVE IT!
Only 60 but been crafting since 4. Yep. I had a true saint of a grandmother who was very old school, and she taught me the basics of embroidery, crochet, knitting, tatting and hand sewing. I started making (quite crude but) Barbie doll clothes and neighbor’s daughters taught me to work with seed beads. Never looked back! No matter who or what, I always look forward to to what others are doing and how they’re doing it. And no matter how young or old you are, crafting fits everyone! I’ll add one more crafty bit: I take projects with me to do in waiting rooms. A lot of times I will chain beads (thread beads onto a coil of wire, make eye loop on each end for stringing together later) and it means tons of tiny wire snippets everywhere. Cut inside a one or two gallon baggie. No flyaways, no scattered mess, won’t fly into your eye.
And how old was Julia Child when she took French cooking classes? Col Sanders & his chicken...Grandma Moses & her painting? Well girlfriend you just jump right in where you're at! Sending some love from the mitten state!
So glad you've decided on crafting ! Keep going and all the best ! Im 72 !
Love the bread clip on the tape idea! Always trying to find the end. Thanks for all of the great ideas.
Thanks for watching Bonnie glad you enjoyed
Love your videos. My favorite hack is sharpening scissors
Thanks Pam - that is a super helpful hack!
I love e-6000 too....but I always have similar problems with it....I started buying the 4 pack of the small ones (.18oz) and it is so much better to control and I can use the whole tube without it drying up or getting stuck in the tube...😉
My favorites: The glue stick hack, and the hot hair dryer to get sticky labels off!! And so many uses for hand sanitizer!
My favorite was using hand sanitizer to revive an old paintbrush. I have one right now that I was fixin' to throw away! I will try this, thanks!!
If you use the oil first and apply it to the blade it will help get rid of the gummy residue. Then just wipe the blade clean and leave the mechanism oiled. Believe it or not I learned this way back when when I was waxing in my salon. We used baby oil to remove that sticky wax. Not like regular wax it was mixed with honey if I recall. Been several decades LOL! It works though! Oh, not just your craft blade but your wallpaper blade and many other plastic blades have that device on the end.... sorry, sounds like I'm giving you advice I don't mean to
Thanks for the tip!! I'll have to try that next time 😀
I just commented the same and then noticed your comment 🙄
That’s the best hack😊
Scissor hack, Parmesan brush holder & painting beads!! Brilliant!!
Glad you enjoyed
I looove the hack for cleaning the paint brushes with cling wrap and hand sanitizer....you just saved me a ton of money and a lot of discarded paint brushes that I have neglected to clean🙈
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Wow ! You just became my Mrs. Clever Numner One ! Bravo !
So glad you enjoyed watching Paula!
My favorite hacks are repurposing an old Parmesan cheese bottle to hold paintbrushes, using saran wrap and hand sanitizer to clean dried-up paintbrushes, and melting the tip of a glue stick to stop the newest glue stick from falling out of the glue gun. Thanks so much for the hacks.
My favorite hack was the Parmesan cheese container being used for paint brushes and her supplies because we are constantly trying to keep all of our paint brushes organized. Such a cute idea!
Such a great hack! Glad you enjoyed
I didn’t know that about hand sanitizer working to clean dried paint brushes! 🙌
Yes it works fantastic thanks so much for watching
I love the Parmesan cheese container idea especially for water to clean brushes. I recently found hand sanitizer in my craft room, now I remember why I bought it! 😂 Thank so much for the tips!
Oh that's great! Thanks so much for watching Diana
All useful. I was really impressed by the dry erase board fix, though. Who would have thought!
Right? Such a good hack!
Cleaning the old paint brush and dry erase board are my favourites ❤
The best! Thanks for watching Deborah!
I love each tip. 1st is removing labels. 2nd is scissors renew. Marker remover. Paint from my artist paint brush! I'm going to record it for later!
Thanks for sharing!!
OMGOSH ! 😮 My brain has gone into massive overload. I now carry a notebook around with me. To write down projects and DIYS that I want to try. everything that you have video'd is absolutely amazing.!
Excellent
Deidre, I had never heard of some of those hacks and am excited to try them. Like may of your viewers, the hand sanitizer to revive a neglected paint brush will save me money. I appreciate all of the work you put into your channel - you do good!! 😉😊
Glad you enjoyed it was helpful thanks for watching Mina
Loved these hacks! I have thrown away so many paintbrushes because I accidentally left them out, so I'm super excited about trying out that hack, and the bead painting technique is absolute genius.
I love the hand sanitizer hack on a dried up paintbrush.
Loved all of them, but *9* and *10* REALLY were Like MAGIC! 🤍
Glad you enjoyed
I love the hand sanitizer to clean up a dried paintbrush! I find I forget once in a while to clean a brush sooo...this is a game changer for me. Thank you!
It's so good!
The paint brush holder and paint brush cleaner is my favorite.
They are great hacks!
The parmesan bottle..clever
I like the cleaning hacks with hand sanitizer - now you can imagine what it does to your skin!
Thank you, Ill be on a lookout for that parmesan jar. Hand sanitizer would also help with the permanent marker on the white board. And thats perfectly good way to sharpen your scissors in a hurry, but in a long run, I warmly recommend having a sharpener, plus having different scissors for paper and fabrics (paper dulls them like no other). Greetings from the land of Fiskars :)
Great ideas especially the bread tag and using the d hair dryer to remove labels. Ruth down under
Thank you so much for sharing these. I especially liked the one about removing old glue & renewing a stiff paintbrush
You are so welcome!
Wow, with so many hack videos, it is rare to see tips I've not heard of before. Love the white-washing bead hack, sanitiser for paint brushes and the permanent marker on the dry erase board removal. Thanks for sharing :-)
Thank you so much for watching, glad it was helpful!
Finally something thats actually useful and not a waste of time
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
So much amazing hacks. My favorite was saw dust and glue. Genius ❤❤❤
Good list. It's best practice not to take the small cuts on the sandpaper with your scissors. Use a larger piece of sandpaper and cut with your entire blade. Those small snips can cause misalignment of the blade.
My favorite is the Parmesan cheese canister hack. What a good idea. Also good for keeping baking soda handy to use as a cleaning agent.
I also like the glue stick hack. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing!
So good eh!! Thanks for watching Suzanne 😀
Yes! I use a shaker container for baking soda to clean with, but it came in handy to quell an small electric motor fire! Keep it right in front, under your sink to grab in an emergency!😉
@@jennifermorgan3343 that's a great idea.
They are all great hacks! Tfs and God Bless 🥰 💜
The dry erase to remove the permanent marker was awesome!
Right?!
Great tips! It makes me wonder what's in hand sanitizer that it does things like remove glue residue.
The hand sanitizer to clean brushes and sticky off of jars! These hints are super!! And I am using all the hand sanitizers I have !!
Amazing! I am so glad you enjoyed watching Sue :)
Best hacks I have ever seen. The chalkboard was my fav as I messed it up already.
Thank you! The blade and Sharpie hacks are magic!
Love the sharpening scissors gonna save me alot of 💰 money
I use a lot of packaging tape, the bread tie hack will save me lots of time and even more frustration! Thanks.
Yes, that’s a great little hack. Thanks for watching.
Just want to share an idea when it comes to tube glue. I use toothpaste roller on glue in tubes. They really squeeze out every drop. Also I put Vaseline on the lid & on a long nail that fits in tube. No more problems with lid being stuck. Works great for liquid nail or E3000.
Enjoyed your video.
Thank you for posting an actual HACK video! Many people are labeling it hacks when it's just DIYs.
And thank you for sharing those ideas! Especially the paint brush one, I never knew that hand sanitizer would fix that! I will certainly give that a try on my brushes!
Thanks Jessica - I'm so glad it was helpful!
Right! I have 3 of my favorite brushes wrapped in hand sanitizer right now. I'm so happy to have found this. They were (are) my favorite brushes
Hope it works great for you!
@@promise372 same here! I haven't had the heart to throw them away cause they were my favorites, I'm glad I can try to revive them now!
@@OurUpcycledLife thanks again!
Awesome tips! Thank you! I liked them all, but the hand sanitizer on paint brushes and bread tab on tap are my favorites! Such a simple solution! Thank you again for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed Wendy thanks so much for watching
With the sticky stuff on scissors, I use an eraser to do it, less messy.
I liked the hand sanitizer removing paint and glue
I loved the tip about how to get permanent marker off a dry erase board!
Bead idea is great. Saving the brush is brilliant. All great ideas. Thanks. Mary
You are so welcome!
You blew it out of the water with this one! The hacks are all terrific. I especially like two - the bread tab on the tape and the E6000. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed Heidi thanks so much for watching
My favorite? I’m thinking it was the scissors. I’ve heard and used most of the others. ❤️❤️❤️
Twelve for twelve…thank you!
That's astonishing about the dry erase marker!!!
Just like magic thanks for watching
Loved every one of the hacks, my favorite is the bread wrapper ! Thank you 👧🏻
Thanks for watching Lyn!
These are all great crafting hacks. I'll definitely use the hand sanitizer for the hardened paint brush as well as some of the others.
Sorry, so many people loved the Parmesan cheese paint brush holder/washer but it is not good for brushes to stand in water! Best to swish brushes, then lay out with tips slightly down! This keeps you bristles intact! Really good other tips and information! Blessed and safe days!
The blade one and the heads brilliant. Judy. Manchester.England
Thanks Judy, glad you enjoyed!
Great tips! Thanks for sharing
Love it! Good hacks...Who knew??
Thanks!
Thanks for watching Wendy :)
I loved the resharpening scissors hack. I have thrown away so many pairs of scissors because they were so dull. I’m definitely going to try this sharpening hack
It's a good one to keep in your back pocket! Thanks for watching Sylvia 😀
the glue squeeze one. my favorite
Ideas I never knew of. Love the Tape idea with the tie on the end of it. And the spice jar for paint brushes. All was good though.
Love the bread tab & tape hack!
Great hacks! Hand Sanitizer for getting off stubborn glue, and paint from a paint brush. Smart. I also liked the bread closer for tape. Thanks for all of these!
So glad you enjoyed watching Kathie 😀
Imagine what the hand sanitizer has been doing to your hands.
I think you will just have saved me money with the paint brush hack❤
I never knew about most of these hacks, especially the one to keep the glue stick from falling out. I use eucalyptus oil to remove any glue/adhesive residue. Works like a charm.
Great tips. A saver for sure!
I can not pick one. You just saved me money, but also stress. thanks
Happy to help!
white washed beads and E61000 glue were my favorite hacks!!!
Amazing - those were great hacks. Thanks for watching Deborah!
The hack about the glue gun is genius!!
I like the easy way to paint the beads, thank you for video
I watch your videos ALL the time 😬 and a few tips:
Lighter fluid works fabulous on getting label left glue off.
Also running the glass jars thru the dishwasher takes the smell away.
Oh good tips - thanks for sharing!
Wow I knew what the lines were for but didn't know about the lil clip thing thanks! 👍🏽
Thank you 💕
I did not know that about the utility blade. I just checked and you are right! 😊 Tyfs
Right I just recently learned this little hack also and it works fabulous
Loved these hacks. Gonna go get my dried paint brushes and gaint bottle of hand sanitizer and try this .
Hope it works for you. Thanks for watching.
The way you did the beads!
Another hack that I use all the time, for removing sticky stuff (like label residue) from objects. Use any type of vegetable oil or olive oil.. any type of food oil you have will work. Spread some on and let sit for a bit. After a while, a paper towel will wipe it right away.
Great tip ❤️
Tried hack # 10 and it worked. Using the Expo marker on a Sharpie marker worked perfectly. Thank you.
Excellent!
Oh MY.... these fixes are FABULOUS... I can use evey one of them. THANKS.
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed!
I loved all these hacks! Thank you for them! There were so many I never knew, but using hand sanitizer to get rid of the sticky stuff from labels, I loved. Beats Goo Gone!
Thanks for watching ❤️
My favorite was the E6000 trick & the bread tie on packaging tape end. Take care.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
Melting the end of the new glue stick, to make adding it to your glue gun, was the best new hack here for me! I can use that all the time, and it will make things just that much simpler.
Ya - that honestly makes it so much easier!
You have saved my paint brushes 💗💗💗 Occasionally I forget to wash one when I'm finished a project and next day I find it hard as a rock. So many greàt hacks. Thanks 💗💗💗
Give the hand sanitizer a try it actually works really well thanks for watching Charlotte
The hand sanitiser needs to be alcohol-based for the brush and glue residue hacks to work. The one Deirdre uses is 74% alcohol.
Nail varnish removers containing acetone (not all do!) or WD-40 spray will also work for both the brush & glue hacks. 👍🙂
Love the hacks. There cheese container hack was my favorite
I just found your channel and I love it. The brush cleaning will save me so many headaches.
So glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching love new crafting friends.
3:25 you can do a similar thing with a small hole in a carpet; gather up some carpet fluff, and glue it into the hole. (There's usually more carpet "fluff" under furniture or near the skirting board behind stationary furniture that hasn't been moved in a long while).
This was great. There is a youtube online, which I will not name, shows 30 sec hacks that no way they work, just trash- do know it is produced in Russia.
Yours however does give meaningful hacks that work, awesome. The paint brush was worth watching the whole thing. Some real gems. I am now sub'in.
I laughed when I saw the E6000 hack. Today, I just threw away an old tube of E6000 because it was so glummed up and (I thought) unuseable!! Thanks for your hacks. Love them!
My favorites were; the brush cleaning, the cheese jar for the
paint brushes, and the beads white wash. Thanks!
