We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

16:32 that was a heavy pause, I felt that... salute to Cody and Sam + Max, keep it up!
Yeah salute for killing innocent poor people on behalf of some rich people so they can get richer.....
@@ronejohnson2362 you don't have the guts to fight or do anything except talk shit on the internet..
@@ronejohnson2362 what are you talking about?
Rone Johnson imagine being so oblivious to everything that’s happening in the world to not have respect for the men and women keeping our home, our homes.
@@ronejohnson2362 I see where you are coming from but you should be shitting on political leaders and weapons manufacturers, not soldiers.
I am a chef from Mexico, and I csn tell you, soya sauce its more traditional in a carne asada than what we think.
We simply called Maggi at home, and yes, it makes the steak taste even better, it is also very common to use Worcestershire sauce, or both, mixed.
Therefore, I agree with Sam, it maje steak taste better.
Thanks for the recipe.
Maggie sauce is similar yes. We use soy sauce in some northern states to season carne asasa. I have a bigger problem with the brown sugar
So people are just haters.
@@padraig5335 well, i will not label them in general or as individuals, may be it is just a lake of knowledge that make then think that in Mexico we don't use soy sauce, just because it is Asian, or Worcestershire sauce because it is British. In fact, Mexican cuisine now days, have influence from almost every corner of this planet. Lets say, we just keep open mind :)
Maggi is the german version of soy/worchestershire sauce
I think every single kitchen on earth has some kinda strong tasting salty/sweet brown sauce to give things their extra punch. In Switzerland we even have a yellowish msg-salt seasining thing called aromat.. does the same thing, maybe saltier.. but it's not just salty, it's that wholsome taste.. well msg. You know the deal.
My mom is born and raised in Mexico and she always marinates the steak with soy sauce and beer🤷♂️
Ooohh that sounds so good 😍
i'm trying to smell the burrito through the screen, hope this quarantine is over soon.

Yeah so much for that

@@samthecookingguy Hey my man just curious what brand/model knife that was in this video. It looks like a must have.
You should flip the roles

This will definitely be going down 👍🏻
Yes please.
@@samthecookingguy Sam should have to edit the video too
@@nolanburchett7972 Oh god.. Do you really want a 2 hour uncutted video?
YES
The spirit of the Mexican chef is creativity and doing whatever it takes to create food with the best flavor, I'm so Mexican my grandfather was in the mex revolution and I think this marinade is dope ! The San Diego/Tijuana Taco culture salute you !
After seeing that moment about Cody, I had to subscribe. God bless you, Sam.
Thanks 🤓
Same here bud..
Teared up listening to you read the e-mail and loved seeing how much it meant to you. You’re an incredible human and what you do is an escape for a lot of people including myself and my own anxiety. Never underestimate what you do and how it effects other. Love you, Sam and Max.

I pray cody makes it home safe and doesn't suffer ptsd from all he's been through. I wish people appreciate their lives and stop complaining when there's people like cody out there going through so much more than anything we ever can fathom
Thank you for reading the email from Cody. Yes, it made me cry, but I am so sorry he has to be there. You are very special, and we appreciate all that you do ! ❤
I'm literally watching this in Afghanistan right now. Cody was spot on man, keep up the good work.
Kabul?
stay safe man
Thank you for your service sir. May God keep you all in the palm of his hand and bless you all.
I'm gonna be honest with you man, I am skeptical. I know this doesn't mean you're not in Afghanistan, but your playlists on here are titled, "penis poop", "poop poop poop", and "poop". You seem like a child to me lmao
Adamk1129 fake ass bitch
16:04 first time I ever teared up watching a cooking video. You should be proud Sam.
Turkey Man-- I agree, that was awesome, thanks for sharing Sam and thank you for your service Cody!!
Turkey Man bombs and stuff
Damn...came for the sight and sounds of taste. Didn't expect all the feels. Thank you, Sam.
🤓
I just made this burrito. But with cilantro and lime rice. It was, quite honestly, one of the best tasting things I've ever cooked. You are an inspiration and I love your channel. Keep being awesome. Take care
Much respect to you Sam for your entertainment, Max for putting up with your abuse 😂. Lastly Cody, my fellow brother in arms. Be safe, shoot straight. I'd love to see Cody on as a guest appearance after his tour. 💪
2nd that!!! Bring Cody on when he's back!!!!
3rd that!!
4th that!!!!!!

Thank you for your service Cody, and thank you for your cooking Sam! Looks delicious.
@@maxwerner5251 nearly every war this century has been senseless what sense is there thanking someone for fighting a senseless war?
David Mason meanwhile you’re too much of a pussy to go there yourself. Props to you Cody
I can relate exactly to the Marines sentiment. While not on the battlefield, after a long day in the business world, watching Sams videos is so relaxing and stress relieving. He’s like the Mr. Rogers for adults! And every Sunday night I pick one item I’ve watched and make it for my family. We look forward to it every week!
I made this over the weekend and let me say I am NEVER going back to plain asada this smelled so good and tasted even better! Thank you for this!

"A-aand we mix!" :D
hahaha you win!

"I don't want my guacamole smooth.. it's not hand lotion!" 😂😂😂
There you go you suck I believe you're talking s*** about Sam not cool he's the best
@@drunkandcory3028 huh? chill out
just got into it with my son....i like my guac chunky. smooth looks like baby food or something. guac is super duper easy and the only way to go.
When he didn't take the time to get all of the avocado insides out, thats when I realized im poor as fuck. :(
Now that's funny , my ass still would've been scraping, haha
Lmao🤣
Lmao i said the same thing, he missing some!! 😩😭😭
I wanna help in his kitchen so I can eat the stuff he leaves in the avacado skin.
And, all the left overs, I'd be mortally obese within a week.
😩🤣😱
I had a similar experience back in 2006 with a chef. (Emeril) I took to his cooking when over seas and inspired me to cook. Being a marine and away from family, friends and "lovers" lol, you need a way to unwind. I have been watching you lately and have felt a similar way to you as I did to Emeril. I appreciate what you do and enjoy you shows. Thank you for the shows and don't let the haters hate. Thanks again.
You got me choked up with that conversation with Cody , my life is nowhere near as stressful as I can imagine his is , but you do the exact same thing for me. Thanks for the joy every video brings,
Ps/ that burrito is absolutely mental
That Cody thing pretty much leveled me. Thank you for sharing that.
I think it's amazing he takes the time to talk to Cody. That's inspiring. I would love to talk with a soldier too. But think I be stupid boring to them
good to know a foreign soldier interfering in foreign land has levelled you. would love to show you some more ‘leveling’ work of american soldiers in afghanistan and the middle east
@@mayraj more leveling than 9/11?
@@mayraj I agree with you that the wars over there are unjustified but don’t blame the soldiers blame the slimy politicians that put good people in harms way for no reason.
I wonder how he is now
I just hope Cody made out of the sandbox in one piece and is happily cooking Sam's recipes at home with his wife and kids.
Semper Fi from across the pond
I'm Mexican and I can't hate on your recipe! You go Sam sir.
Thank You Mr. Cody! I/We appreciate your service and dedication. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍💪💪💪
I’ve been in Cody’s shoes, and I know exactly how he feels. I was a Combat Engineer in the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq twice. Part of my job was to find IEDS and weapons caches. Though I loved my job and I truly did enjoy it, there were times where I didn’t really think I was going to make it back to the states alive.
You took it day by day. When you finally come back from a mission, whether it’s from a day long mission to a 3 week one all you want is real food. I remember having a home cooked meal with an Iraqi family in Fallujah. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, I don’t know why but maybe because it felt like home...
UA-cam wasn’t really popular back then, however, it would have been awesome to watch your videos. Sometimes when you have a rough day all you want is some time to yourself. Time to reflect, time to be normal...
For Cody, your videos bring him solace...it gives him a piece of home. For me at the time it was a nice hot cup of coffee...
Another great video Sam! Can’t wait to try it.
And for our boy Cody, keep your head on a swivel!
DEXTVHD thank you for your service. May God bless you and your loved ones.
Brother, I know exactly what you're referring to. Semper Fi
Semper Fi! Engineers up!
I just made this yesterday and it is absolutely delicious.
How did you get your steak 🥩 so thin like his?
I have re-watched this video over a dozen times just to listen to you read that text from Cody. Brings tears to my eyes every time. Thanks for what you guys do so keep doing your thing. Be Blessed Sam, and (Max, Chance and Jilli). Big shout out to Cody as well.
Shout out to Cody and his family. Thank you for your service.
YOU DESERVE A NETFLIX SHOW 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Agreeee, !! 👍 BOOKS AND MAGAZINES
Ditto Sam, from a healthcare worker in Texas. This was a 20 minute respite from this crazy Covid world. You deserve your own cooking show dude!
" it's not hand lotion..its freaking guacamole" someone had to say it🙌
Too true, too true

To Cody and all Service Members (and their families) who have sacrificed for the well being of our country.
Thank You!!!
Love what you do Sam, it’s relatable and friendly and you have managed to once again show humanity the unique power which food has to change the lives of others, even if we don’t consume it. Powerful messages through powerful flavors, send me the royalty when you make that a t-shirt.
Thank you Sam,max, all of you tht make this happen..a smile, good food, and joys to people like Cody, whom has a little escape from his time away.thank you also to Cody, and all others who serve.
Thank you for your service, Cody.
God bless you & your family.
Did anyone else think it was the end for Sam’s finger on that first 🥑 cut?? 🤭😵 Too close 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
When he went to take out the pit from the first avocado, that knife went way too deep for my comfort level. I cringed as it almost included his fingers too.
I flinched hard.
I said, damn that avacado doesn’t have a pit. Back to a purple thumb
I got so stressed when I watched that, both the initial slice and then the pit removal
so true
My level of respect for you and your family/business just went up 10 fold. I love how you guys pause whenever a fighter is flying over, and how real you guys keep things on your channel. Like Cody, I watched your guys' videos while I was deployed last year (not nearly the same level as him though), however, you guys do bring home with us wherever we are in the world and give us a little something to look forward to when we get back. Food is more than just something we eat, it can truly bring us together no matter where we are or who we are.
Love y'alls content!
What i love more than his recipes and his humor is that he’s a great person with a huge heart and it shows every time he gets choked up about his comments 💗you’ve gained a forever supporter
Sam, you’re awesome!
Semper, Cody. Give em hell.
I've never clicked a video link faster. Salivary glands initiate.
Hell yes thanks Mitchell!
When you read that comment from Cody, I saw you get flustered and I started tearing up, because you respected him and appreciated his comment and what he does for our Country. I hope you read more comments like this on your more recent videos.

And thanks to Sam once again cooking is still alive. Three years later. Your surf n turf video gets to be relived lol thank you brotha.
