In my travels today, I came across a "good" deal on ribeye with a new vacuum sealer on hand, so I bought a lot! I thought I would make this again so I did. This timed I wowed the wife. It turned out so unbelievably good. Stellar! Very few ingredients to add make this one very easy for anybody to make and it will please and impress that certain someone. I have the same thermometer. Some can argue it's expensive but it's an instant read within a second, highly calibrated, and certified to a half degree (a certificate is provided). Normally, when it comes to steak, I'm a grill guy. Dead of winter, still a grill guy. But Natasha, your video changed my plans for last night's dinner. I did your cast-iron pan sear technique with wagyu filet from Snake River Farms. I separately French sautéed mushroom caps and Vidalia (sweet) onions and added that to the final mix for added flavor-sharing prior to plating. While I may not agree with you that the cast iron method makes the best steaks (I've owned too many grills to admit that) you have definitely persuaded me somewhat. I would like to see some videos demonstrating your expertise outdoors (grill, campfire, etc.), possibly getting your husband from behind the camera so he can offer you his outdoor expertise.
