We have a 2022 and we absolutely love it. Plenty of power, loves the mud, super comfortable and great all around machine. Highly recommend it. Putting on 30 inch tires soon.
We purchased the can am commander max xt 4 weeks ago and absolutely love it and our two boys always ask when are we going riding again, we added few accessories so far and will be adding 30 inch tires here soon.
@@BP-ds6io if you're going to use it around the yard then commander all the way since it's got the unlocking rear differential which the Maverick sport doesn't.
I'd really like to see a no BS comparison of clutches between the Commander and General. The clutch system on my '21 General is absolute garbage, I feel like I have to baby it so the belt doesn't slip and the clutches don't break. Polaris seems to care less that this is a huge weak spot in their drive train. That, on top of an AWD system instead of 4WD makes me wonder how they are even competitive. So, here's where I'm at: dump $$ into an aftermarket clutch kit and hope the rest of the drivetrain holds up on the General or trade it as fast as I can on a Commander and never look back. Thoughts?
What’s wrong with the awd? I’ve never heard of a Polaris having a hard time with climbing or mud. The awd is true 4wd without the selectable locker. I’d say it’s industry leading in that aspect. They don’t need a selectable locker switch because it performs so well. But the general clutch and diffs are garbage. Shoot the ranger is far better in those areas. The max xtp is very high on my list for a new machine.
I'm looking at buying one of the two units you've mentioned and surprised to see the problems your having. I have not heard about the clutches. I've been eating up as much info as I can to make the decision. Your note here was helpful, Thanks. It would seem that customer service is pretty low on Polaris's to do list?

Can I ask what made you decide on the Commander? I am torn between the Maverick Sport Max and the Commander Max XT models right now.
@@kenolchawa547 I was in the same boat but the dump bed makes it a no brainer for us
