Mine will be here in the next couple of weeks. What sold me on the XMR is the controllable diffs and the price with the bigger tires/wheels, snorkel, winch, and skid plate package already installed. All this thing needs is a top and light bar. Time will tell if the stiff ride will matter to me or not, but this is without a doubt a step up from my RSX860 John Deere.
Good unbiased review . I just did two full days in the mountains of Northern Arkansas on my new X3 DS and wrote up a good review in a can am X3 group . Hope to upload a review to UA-cam real soon. I looked at this XMR pretty close but couldn’t justify effectively the same price for less overall performance compared to the X3 . For the price of any of these machines regardless of brand they need to do better . The engine /clutch noise at 5000ish RPM in the X3 is excruciatingly BAD. I LOVE the machine but HATE that . I found myself wanting it to stay in boost cause it was quieter then. The XMR commander is a sweet rig though and valid points are made about it already being geared out , which believe me , after outfitting two machines , is nice !
I have the new XT-P and added the flair kit and the snorkels. So it's the best of both worlds. If you can get one it's cheaper (less than 1k) to add to the XT-P then to upgrade from XMR with the roof, Fox QS3 shocks the beadlock 15 inch rims. I have noticed belt temps a little higher with the snorkels however. It is an outstanding UTV.
Would like to see a video comparing this to the maverick xmr Really torn between these two and wanting to make the choice here in a couple months. Turning radius difference? What’s better on trails/mud? Comfort?
How's it pushing a plow in 20 inches of Snow?, Trail riding in the Rockies up and down Rivers and streams over the Boulders and Rocks?, Hill climbing Deer trails and riding on the Sand Dunes?. I sure like the looks of it anyway.
Thanks for the review! Have one of these on order and and info is scarce at this point so this is much appreciated. Regarding the rough ride - do you think disconnecting the front sway bar would help? I understand the safety concerns and trade off’s there in regards to cornering at speed - but that’s something I’ve done on previous rides and have been happy with results. Secondly - do the tires measure a true 30”? Keep up the great work!
@@reddzrzrrider1086 I get that, but if you're not playing mud boi all the time, it'd be nice to have some suspension that didn't destroy your body when out ripping the trail.
Quick question on the XPS Swamp Force Tires, Can you tell me the load carrying capacity and tire pressure on the sidewall of the tires? Also have you ridden in snow with them, how do they handle? What pressure are you running them at? Any idea for how much the tires weigh? Thanking you in advance
Love my new commander XT with smart lock added just don’t rub the box sides on trees 🌲 or they will break the front clip other then that it rides and drives amazing
We dont always get to choose what vehicles we get on load from the manufacturers. We cant just say "hey, yamaha, toss me over a 700 Grizz". However, the 2021 700 Grizzly is essentially identical to the 2020... so watch that review and your all set.
@@pavmentsurfer13 Also worth noting that the guy that did the review of the 2020 Grizz is exceptionally charming and makes watching the video that much more worthwhile 😆
I'm looking to upgrade my current side by side and I have really enjoyed all of your videos on different machines. I'm interested in the Commander X MR. I mainly do trail riding and some mud. How is the Commander X MR for the occasional rock climbing and how does it handle rough terrain? Thank you in advance.
Do think it would lower the ground clearance much if you put the xt shocks on it ? i really like this commander but the trail riding would be rough .. Maybe they need a cross between the xt and a mr ...
I dont think its the shocks as much as the springs. I think a softer set of springs would help alot. And, as stated in another comment, lowering the psi in the tires slightly.
@@pavmentsurfer13 i watched a video with a reg commander vs a general on here and the basic shocks and springs which are the same as the x mr and the commander bounced all over the trails .. why i was curious ...
The RZR Pro R is a 5 lug. I wonder how long it will take for aftermarket support to show up since that's industry first. Hope you can be among the first to give us a review on it. Great vid! 👍🏻
They really need to get better shocks on the commanders! Big disappointment, also this machine NEEDS the manta green/grey/black color scheme as an option
What an extremely ignorant way of thinking. Saying people “almost always” trespass is so far from the truth it makes me wonder what else is wrong with you. Noise* btw, but sure I’ll give you that one, But scared of dust?! 😂 stay walking through the woods taking pictures of birds or whatever you do tree hugger.

How are you liking your XMR? I ordered one last month, should be here in April or May
The most adequate reviews!!!! It's a pity there are not always titles in Russian!
Great video Luke, machine looks amazing going through that mud!
I wish y’all could get a 2022 xmr 570 to test since it has a lot of new features

Fantastic review guys
Thank you!! 🤘

Nice. Agree they should have thrown the xtp shocks on it. Great review brother
Thank you!!
Love that camo

Yes!! :D Wish it came in a real colour, not just Camo
Yep.
If it's an XMR, why didnt they mount the rad on top at the back? Thats the biggest problem I have with my first gen Commander.
Thanks for the review! Really too bad they didn't put some better shocks on, would have make this a much better machine I think.
The shocks are designed for mud traveling… It’s an XMR… What would make the shocks better for you???
@@reddzrzrrider1086 I get that, but if you're not playing mud boi all the time, it'd be nice to have some suspension that didn't destroy your body when out ripping the trail.
@@reddzrzrrider1086I would think what would be better is at least some shocks that you can maually choose between 3 settings.

Thanks for the video. In your opinion, if you were not so experienced in testing, and an average rider, would this still be a good, do it all rig?
It's a pretty impressive machine and very trail-capable.
nice review but.. It would be nice to see reviews on the entry level big cc sxs, Base general, base commander, etc
New to side by sides do you have to change air psi in tires from trail to mud or leave air psi the same
Does the Commander XMR have a gear reverse or chain?
Does it preform like the maverick sport xmr ? Or Is it tuned down some ?
I like it. Maybe new build for 2022!
That's a great idea 🤘

Could you install the fox shocks from the commander xtp on the commander xmr to get a better more comfortable ride?
I'm sure you could but how much do the shocks cost? You shouldn't have to spend another $1000 or whatever when it's a premium rig.
I have asked for you guys to do a test on the 2021 Yamaha grizzly 700 special edition but nothing yet
Think we did a test on the 2020

Any chance you guys will have a Max XTP? I'm about to cancel my order for a 22 XRS RR for one as a more family machine
Not sure what else we have coming from Can-Am in the next little bit.
What are your recommendations for replacement shocks?
Maybe the qs3 ?

I forgot to mention, should I look at a different machine for more rough trail riding and the occasional rock climb?
How was the cab heat?
I need it

2 things. 1- those 30 inch tires look huge on that thing. 2- why do these manufactures offer just 1 or 3 colors for these. Polaris too.

you should do a polaris 450
Came for a review but got a music video and a bunch of close up shots of mud and water splashing around. Would like to hear the real thing in action.
shocks are a deal breaker, idk what they were thinking.
My wait is over

Yep I don't want a Camo rig.
👍👍👍👍🤩🤩😍😍🔥🌹🌹
If course it's tires are good. They're deep, unidirectional, have sipes, and are 30"
He's talking about for trail riding. I have the 30" Cryptid mud tires on my Defender and they beat you up on the trail.

Problems with these are that people almost always trespass with them, and the noice and dust scares away wildlife
