Great video, thanks for the info. Places to go not mentioned. 1) Wildlife loop (early morning) at the south end of Iron Mt. Road. Side note- when on Iron Mountain Road stop at Spokane Creek Campground for a shirt, coffee and a sausage dog. 2) Belle Fourche big compass in the park by the river then go to the actual Geographical center of the country 15 miles north of town then 8 miles out a dirt/stone road. 3) Dragstrip out by the Full Throttle for the swap meet. 4) Vancouver Canyon Road is a great route to drive thru Nemo for breakfast, great road to ride that most people miss.
I recommend dividing the area up into sections then into events in those sections. Beats driving all over with no plan. Also take lots of pictures,

I`m enjoying your vids. lived in Havre ,MT 38 miles off Canadian border 3 years then dropped 40 miles south to BIG Sandy,MT from there 11.5 hours into Sturgis on 2 wheels 2018 to Stugis rally after 3 trips to Glacier National Park (Going to the sun rd) no mistake at all the most beautiful all inspiring bike trip, and 3 trips to Beartooth Hywy and mountain where once on top at 10,900 ft. on a road designed for cars and bikes there are only 2000 more feet above any where you ride; you are in the Heavens. Then later south through Wyoming crossing the continental divide in a rain and hail storm which included a small level 1 tornado as i get my first glimpse of Teton Mountains of Jackson Hole. From there north to Yellowstone. Time spent there then off the mountain through Cody, Wy ,Lovell,Wy into Pryor Mountain,Wy to see big horn sheep and wild mustangs. I am certain that the Buffalo Chip is a great time, been to all the bars in and around the hills and Sturgis, but there is more to see if your butt can handle it. By the way, i lived in sturgis 3 months and Rapid City 5 months. Oh you can get to Alzeda, MT straight up 212 out of Belle Fourche a lot faster than looking at the Devils Tower again which is a stunning out of no where phenomenon. You did not mention the gravel road to the last scene of " Dances with the Wolves" out 222 ( Rough Lock Falls RD) from Spearfish Lodge . A sign denotes camera set location for last scene Hope i added to your future plans. Made sturgis in 2020 also. Yea i was in Custer with all the buffalo the day before the woman was tossed around by her belt.

I agree that Iron Mountain Rd. & Needles Highway are probably the top 2 rides in Sturgis. Spearfish Canyon is less demanding, but still a nice cruise. We plan on going to Spearfish Falls, which I saw in a Sturgis video from "Let's Go Traveling."
In terms of Iron Mountain & the Dragon being the 2 top rides in America, while both being great MC roads (on one trip I rode the Dragon 4 times in one day), I will show my bias for the "left coast" by saying that PCH (Highway 1) from Santa Monica to Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Big Sur, Monterey, San Fransisco, Mendocino, Eureka, Crescent City ending at the Oregon border is the most amazing highway I know of in the U.S.A. Almost 600 miles of ocean hugging highway mixed in with a side trip on Avenue Of The Giants in the Redwood State Parks. If you've never ridden PCH, it will treat you to amazing riding & scenery the entire route.

It's totally doable. The garage at the front of the Buffalo Chip does tire swaps. They run out of rears a lot because of the burnouts, but front tires they should have. You'll get it done for sure up there. I personally would do it before the trip, but that's just my opinion...

The dragon is not even the best ride in it's own area. It's 15 minutes of left, right, left with an enormous amount of d-bags trying to go 100mph on a 15mph road. If you go there, the cherohala and moonshiner 28 are much more enjoyable rides.

I live in Virginia Beach, VA, with no curves or elevation changes so I have an appreciation for the mountains. I also love the ocean here in VB. Having ridden from VB to 49 of the 50 states and most of Canada, Beartooth is my favorite ride in the U.S. I have ridden the Dragon many times and I have ridden all the roads around Sturgis. My favorite around Sturgis is the Wildlife loop for the roaming animals.

I get really aggro with people who can't comprehend how opinions work and that theirs isn't the same as mine, or someone else's. I do not understand why they are so invested in their own ego to the point that any disagreement with them on a point of opinion results in a tirade and accusations and threats. Childish twatwaffles.
