- Recipe Club is back! Dave Chang, Chris Ying, and John deBary tackle a recipe straight out of the 1970s: Lit’l Smokies cocktail weenies simmered in barbecue sauce and grape jelly. We made the original PLUS three variations, including an ultra-luxe version, a keto version, and a one-pot version.

*Ingredients*
1 cup grape jelly
1 cup bbq sauce
1 package Hillshire Farms Lit'l Smokies®
*Steps*
1. Add all ingredients to crockpot.
2. Set to medium heat and wait to come to temperature
3. Serve with toothpicks

This is the DC I like... effort and creativity for the right reasons haha.. not just creatively finding ways to use the spend as little time as possible. Although as S03 progress in recipe club, it slowly becomes less and less.
i was taught this recipe like 35+ yrs ago. but given this bit of advice... "frozen meatballs taste better than the weenies...". and wouldn't you know it? she was right!

The recipe I grew up on, and use all the time for parties,is with Heinz Chili Sauce rather than bbq sauce.
