you guys are acting like he's built a new niche way to beat the game when he's basically using the same hammerhraft build that's been a game breaking and heavily abused way to solo the game since it came out. all he did differently was find out the people were using spore druid to get a free potion use and use that to fly for free instead of using an action or bonus action.
This is a descent that eventually ends with you beating BG3 with a blindfold, no items or levels and only being able to operate the keyboard with your feet

If you need a way to open locked chests without lockpicking, you can just pick up the chest, go to a trader, and then double click the chest in the trading window to drag the items to your inventory. Quest related chests like the one containing the Iron Flask won't normally show up in the trading menu, but if you place them inside of a pouch or backpack they'll appear in there. This actually allows you to steal the Iron Flask and return the locked chest to complete the quest.
its only a one-time attack that can ONLY be used on the character's first turn. if ever he got surprised or cc'd, he wouldn't even be able to use it without leaving and re-entering the combat. focusing on using reactions seems a lot more consistent
@@MalcolmMtgright then you’d have to be duergar to constantly invis to keep going out and in on the fight. Makes sense spores are more consistent with more utility for things like opening doors and potions before the hammer.
I found a slight cheese in my most recent honor mode playthrough. I stepped out into the goblin camp after killing the big 3 and got swarmed. My initiative was garbo for all except astarion (assassin with alert) So I immediately had him go back inside as my insurance policy just in case. Saw he got his actions back and decided to go back out. He got put in the current turn of initiative because of alert, got his actions back because of assassin so I could shoot again, get a free crit, bonus action dash, leave and return on loop. I had other party member's whose turns were holding up initiative, so I had inifinite ability to enter and leave combat firing arrows. Probably already the sort of thing in your repetoire but if not I wanted to let you know so you could experiment with it and maybe use it in a hard place in the future. I wouldn't have lost my honor run without it (hypnotic pattern for the win) but it was certainly fun to find my first infinite damage mechanic of my own
@@4m4n40 If you put the game in turn based and swap gear, I'm fairly certain it does. Following your logic, spells, attacks, and such don't cost actions either (unless using one starts combat)

Donning armor is an action, no? Unless there’s away to make it equip automatically that I’m missing. Not that this discredits the run in my eyes, this was incredible!
Incredibly creative! Also, your knowledge of magic items is unsurpassed. There are so many quirky little abilities that magic items are infused with. Half the time I pick up a magic item and think, "When the heck is this ever going to be useful?" You flip that script and ask, "How can I make this random magic item useful?" Really brilliant!
You could use Crates to build bridges and "Climb On" which doesn't use an action or bonus action. Diagonal bridge and then break the end one, causing you to fall to the other side.
I am just blown away by the level of genius you put into all of these absolutely insane challenges. Underwear only run? Sure, because we will lower their strength with every throw and then make a shadow slurp them to death. No Action run? No problem, we will just eat poisoned food to trigger a rage that gives us endless movement speed so we can fly-jump everyone to death. Next up: Can we beat BG3 with only dialogue by always clicking the 1st option? Somehow yes, because using a potato and Minor Illusion gives us the buff needed. Idk
I feel the need to say this @Bouch out of all the bg content ive watched you are by far my favorite, i have watched every piece of content on your channel (Save for the palworld one, sorry mate) and I really love watching so thank you for making the content you do
This would have been a huge challenge just by eliminating Actions. But no, you also chose to eliminate Bonus Actions. I genuflect in your general direction good sir!
I'm pretty sure there is an item in act 3 that lets you cast a spell for free (no actions or spellslots). Maybe that woudl make it possible to cast Karsus' Compulsion. Forgot what the items was called sadly but I think you can get it at sorcerous sundries. Great video btw, you always put the the craziest bg3 challanges
Assuming you mean Markoheshkir, that does not actually make the spell not use an action. Same goes for the Staff of Spellpower which has the same ability as well as the Freecast tadpole power.
Bro, i recently watched some of your videos, u remind me of ymfah, its a very popular youtuber, who makes videos mostly about souls games. I really enjoy watching people creating new unique strats and beating the game, so go on, you are the best.
You can actually get the tongue of madness from a few vendors (I think auntie ethel and derreth?) and the tinmask spores you can cause the tinmask mushrooms around the underdark to explode and they will drop tinmask spores that you can pick up as long as you dont get beffudled. I almost always skip the arcane tower now.
I got another challenge for you: lonewolf, no summon, no controlable npc (temporary uncontrollable allies are ok), no damage (even from retaliation effect like the radiant helm in the creche or the jumping/flying hammer), no debuffing effect (not even throwing haste potions at people to make them lethargic). You can only kill people through dialogs, cutscenes, merging fights or by pushing them in an endless abyss (no floor). I'll leave it to you to figure out if there is a way to beat the apostle of myrkul (maybe chestmancy + buffing aylin ?) but if there truly isn't, you can make one exception just for him and actually damage him. Also the goal is not only to beat the game but also to solve as many encounters as possible.
idk if it's still in the game but ik you used to be able to get around locks on chests by picking them up and bringing them to traders since when you double click it just opens the chest like you would for any other container
I love how it went from "hey, can we kill everything in one hit the entire game?" to "Let's remove one of the single most important mechanic of the game and try to beat it."
This is quite literally impossible because the game doesn't tell you but talking counts as a 'interact' similar to equipping a item, this takes a full action it's just that its out of combat and recharges almost instantly
I recently found a bug that could potentially help you with this challenge. It's related to killing Gale, as you know, after he dies, his body starts to emit a necrotic aura that passively deals damage to everyone around him, except for Gale himself, and you need to resurrect him within 3 days, otherwise he will explode and the game will end. So I didn't quite understand how I did it, but after several kills and resurrections of Gale in a row, he retained the necrotic aura, despite the fact that he was alive (it seems like after the last resurrection I immediately helped him get up and maybe because of this the aura was bugged and did not disappear). So my Gale turned into a walking source of passive necrotic damage, and all he had to do was stand and wait for the enemy to come closer or approach them himself and watch them slowly die. True, I did not find any useful use for this, because this damage also applies to allies, so my entire party and my Tav simply died while being near Gale and running around the map, but if this bug has not been fixed yet, then I think you will find a use for it.
love how he says took him so many tries to get to her lmao but the thing is that the brain enemies you have to actively go into their area xP u can run up to that door without a problem as long as you don't get their attention lmao!
So for the gauntlet of shar - the invisible maze is the same through out every game, you just gotta maneuver the outer ring (through the opening on the right) and walk carefully to disable the gem in the middle, no need to actually use the lever or dim the lanterns
As much as I love ur vids. It is painful to watch videos where u limit urself rather than focusing on a cool build. I'd love to see u use ur creativity in something similar as the summoner or os build. Also, I enjoyed the quantity when vids was split into acts as the quality of ur vids are already so high. Technically, he failed the challenge at the very start, equipping and unequipped armour and items requires an action, and he unequipped his gear right at the start
Fun fact: You don't have to go to the Arcane Tower to get Timmask spores. Whenever a Timmask mushroom goes off, it usually drops a spore or two. They despawn after a few seconds, but you have more than enough time to grab them (I recommend using someone with high Con to make the saves to resist being befuddled). However, in Act 1, you do have to go to the tower to get Tongue of Madness, so this fun fact is a bit of a moot point.
@xLionsxxSmithyx Well, yes. Bonecloak can sell them after you reach level 6. Which requires you to have done almost everything in Act 1 prior to the mountain pass.
