So the trick to helping them grow and stay long is a good strong apex. Focus on that mainly. This is why some people can more easily grow their nails longer than others if they already have a natural curve and thickness to the apex. But using products like this where you can build it up a little bit more will help even if you don't have it naturally. A good tip to remember is that the longer they grow, the thicker the apex should be in order to sustain the length. Just make sure it doesn't go past the free edge, and don't over thicken the very tip of the nails. This can make it heavy there and cause pressure at the apex, then it could break off. Balance is key.
Yes an apex u are right so I'm learning at home just as one my hobbies and for months they would lift and pop off right after I did them some times just hours after I did them till I learned about APEX and bam now they never come off huge difference when u focus on that
@@MonsterrBunneh free edge is the part of the nail that extends past the finger tip. So you don't want to thicken the free edge with product bcuz it can't support weight and could break. When building apex (the thicker "hump" or natural curve in the middle of the nail) you don't want to go past the free edge or past the finger tip
@@itsmekiki6508 yes, whether using just nail polish, or a gel, it's good to cap the entire nail all the way to the underside so that it seals, or encapsulates, the whole nail and makes the manicure last longer. I like to use a rubber base gel on my natural nails when they get long bcuz it sort of flexes along with your nail and absorbs everyday impact to prevent breaks/cracks. I always do underneath the nail but I try not to make that too thick, especially on the very tip bcuz you don't want heavy tips. Heavy/thick tips will cause the nail to break off. Last I use a thin gel no-wipe top coat.
There's different kinds of nails. My cousin's have thick nails that they can grow this long without doing anything. I however have thin nails, thinner than a blade, which is why a simple slide of my nails on anyone's flesh can cut their skin. 😅 Thin means I can't make them grow longer than 4mm. The only time I was able to make my nails grow was when I was still pregnant, coz during pregnancy our nails gets stronger. After I gave birth, it all went away. My only option is to use press-on nails or this way, which is to use a rubber base.
Your nails don't need to breathe, they're dead. Basically, gel or normal polish add a layer of protection to your nails and keeps them from breaking more easily.
Those asking if nails need to breath.. that's really the wrong term to use. The nail is porous. The nail bed/skin beneath the nail emits moisture through the nail. If the nail is covered with gel, acrylic, or press ons, that moisture can't escape and water logs the natural nail. Making them soft and weak, like any other time your nails are kept in water. So give them a couple weeks in between manis to soak them in oil like jojoba and castor oil daily to keep nails and cuticles healthy.

Q: once you apply the rubber base, can you use regular nail polish…wear that for a while…and then remove the nail polish with remover WITHOUT removing the rubber base?
yes, I do that all the time.. normal nail polish stays and also looks much better on products like that and a polish remover without acetone doesn't harm the base either, so you can change the color as often as you want to and the base stays where it is :)

If looks like you don't have to use as much product as you would if it was builder gel in a bottle, is this true? With the BGIAB I need to make it thick bc my nails bend too easily.
My clients have been experiencing lifting with rubber base when I use the same technique here assuming you don’t need a base coat of anything since the rubber base coat is technically the base , what dehydrator and primer do you recommend and should I use a bonder too or no..?
Im low-key triggered by such large nails beds talking about how easy it was to grow out their nails. My nail beds are so small, my nails are thin and brittle, and always, always break. I have to have acrylics. Otherwise I'm getting way over stimulated by my thin nails bending and cracks getting caught of my hair or clothes.
What do you recommend for a nail that constantly brakes straight down the middle? (There’s one in particular that has a line/ridge that seems to go down to my cuticle. It was slammed in two different doors in childhood sadly by people I know.) and they can be brittle at times; so I’m sure my diet /water intake and all that can only help so much
But how long should this last and how do you remove it without damaging? Can you just keep adding product in between sets as the nail grows out? Or remove all products every time? I’m damaging my nails help! 🥲💖💖💖💖💖

Hot oil soak
maybe try oils ? rose oil
If looks like you don't have to use as much product as you would if it was builder gel in a bottle, is this true? With the BGIAB I need to make it thick bc my nails bend too easily.
Where did you purchase the rubber base polish?
How do you keep it away from the cuticle and how do you remove it off cuticle if it floods while curing
where r u from?!
Mine always peel at the free edge within a day. Any tips?
What is the name of the rubber gel?
Vogue Russian brand that’s all she states in this video about the brand
@@beautifullybackward thank u
Wait someone pls answer can u use a rubber base gel without using a LED or UV light to cure it?
No
My clients have been experiencing lifting with rubber base when I use the same technique here assuming you don’t need a base coat of anything since the rubber base coat is technically the base , what dehydrator and primer do you recommend and should I use a bonder too or no..?
What kind of light do you use
Why do your nails bend down? Is that the natural way they grow or because of the product? xXx
that’s natural mine are the same
Im low-key triggered by such large nails beds talking about how easy it was to grow out their nails.
My nail beds are so small, my nails are thin and brittle, and always, always break. I have to have acrylics. Otherwise I'm getting way over stimulated by my thin nails bending and cracks getting caught of my hair or clothes.
What is the tiny little pink brush for?
Is this the same as builder gel?
rubber gel is much more flexible
@@keithkogane2144but is it any better than builder gel ?
How often do you reapply the rubber base?
I want to grow my nails out so bad…. My kitchen will never let me 😢
I hear you on that one, grating cheese😮

Kitchen dishwashing gloves. Nail savers
What do you recommend for a nail that constantly brakes straight down the middle? (There’s one in particular that has a line/ridge that seems to go down to my cuticle. It was slammed in two different doors in childhood sadly by people I know.) and they can be brittle at times; so I’m sure my diet /water intake and all that can only help so much
This sounds like a medical condition......have you seen a dermatologist?
How do you remove it
like any other gel
The gel won’t stay on my natural nail. It lifts within 2/3 days. What am i doing wrong.
But how long should this last and how do you remove it without damaging? Can you just keep adding product in between sets as the nail grows out? Or remove all products every time? I’m damaging my nails help! 🥲💖💖💖💖💖
Ive been doing these same steps with a builder gel and i keep getting product lifting, do you have any tips on how to fix this?
I used to get lifting also. Use a dehydrator & primer, also the Young Nails protein bond works wonders. You can find videos for good nail prep
Hi where are u located?
So is this just putting a thicker layer of foundation on??
How do I ask for this at my local salon?
Ain't nobody have tiene for that!!!
Do you need to reinforce the apex like that if your nails are short?
U lucky to have nails rite to the top, the free edge is already long, ie bitten nails sumtines have a lot of skin to cover the glue sticks to skin under nail tip form natrual nail
So is there no rubber base that you can just paint on?!
