Let me add to this. A Lora is just remixing their art it's not making anything new in their style. I hate "AI Art" because it forcing everything to look the same. It all looks the same and it's snuffing out originality. AI is not creative it's a predict the next pixel machine built off plagiarizing from artists.

I really hate the learned helplessness AI and tech bros are encouraging. Their only argument is “why do ___ when ai can just do it for me?”, they don’t want to learn anything, they don’t want to try anything new, they don’t want to challenge themselves. All these people want to do is sit like in one place and have everything handed to them like a baby. It’s a sad and frankly pathetic way to live your life and I just can’t support it.
I wasn't really worried about AI since I believe I have a very unique art style (one I'm still developing) and seeing that most AI usually steals from the most popular styles, and just seeing the "style" of most ai generated artwork I didn't feel the need to be super on top of it. but this? This scares me, the idea someone could stumble upon a small creator like me, or many others. and just steal their work with AI, using it become more popular, or even worst, make money off of it is just terrifying.

A lot of these ai apps have children on them too and the sexting stuff can be extremely harmfull. The bots can basically groom your child (technically not grooming since it’s not a human but, have grooming behaviours idk??) and it can also be addictive for people with mental health problems, Which will cause them to be more unhealthy (like the recent suicide case that a lot of people are talking about

The other day i was at a mall and one of the stores had notebooks with AI art printed on them I even mentioned it to my dad but he insisted it wasn't AI and that it was just made by a "noob artist", but to me it was obvious, the details merging together and the nosense shapes. Those mistakes weren't human
i found an ai webtoon with like 26k views that was 100% all AI, i think it was called lux code or smt, and it was right at the top page of the cancave webtoons, rlly upset me /:
Literally saw a tiktok today that showcased the filter (they even said they made it). It was from a spanish account claiming to be associated with Capcut. I commented on some of the videos to warn people about the art theft, but sadly they took down all of my comments. I don't know if I can sue the account (since I'm not the one affected) but I wish I could (also, people are really dumb and don't even care, they just want the filter without thinking about the artist being affected)

By the way, people have made "antidotes" to remove AI poisoning from their datasets, but then people are making super-poisons that are unaffected by the antidotes, but now there are new antidotes that, well, you get the idea; it's kinda like a digital arms race.

So I'm assuming you would be of the opinion that "collage is also exploitative" as well, yes? And yes... gools like glaze and nightshade are easily overcome. They "hide" an image in data of the JPEG file that users can't see but computers do. But if you overwrite the image and change the data...that hidden data is erased. You can't "size down" hidden data. So if you just run any image through a compression tool like JPeg MINI to make the file size smaller...the glaze/nightshade data is going to be overwritten on the resultant file.
Honestly real. I mostly do digital art because I don’t have the time for traditional. It takes like 30 mins to make a realistic black and white drawing on Notability, and my classmates act like it’s a masterpiece. I don’t have the heart to tell them it’s easy.. Edit: Wow I forgot that some people actually do full illustrations. A fully rendered, background and everything piece takes longer on digital, but everything else tends to be easier.
As an artist who uses traditional and digital art, I find that to be far from the truth. It generally takes me longer to draw an image on procreate than it does to draw an image using a pen and paper. I could draw a picture in less than two hours on paper, and take multiple days drawing digitally.
