Rocket League has 5 different hitbox categories that every car in the game falls into. Although there are over 70 different cars to choose from in Rocket League, there are only 5 different hitbox categories. Some of these hitbox categories for cars in Rocket League are more popular than others because some would be considered better than others. However, Psyonix has done a good job of balancing the hitboxes to make some be better for certain tasks without making any particular car OP.
So in this video, I conducted a survey with my community to find out what truly are the best cars for particular tasks in Rocket League. We're covering the topics air dribbling, ground dribbling, flicks, power shots, bounce dribbling, flip resets, 5050s, aerials/redirects, and pinches. Some of the results in the survey were actually surprising to me even being grand champion rank. So after getting the results from the survey, I put the results to the test to see if I agree with the Rocket League community. For the most part, I did. However, there were some instances where I thought differently. I didn't directly think the community was wrong but I didn't think cars mattered in some categories which isn't really fair since I didn't put a "car choice doesn't matter" option in the survey. I had quite a few people asking me in the last video if there even was one true best car in Rocket League because they wanted to know which car they should use. So I thought I would make a video on how to choose the perfect car in Rocket League to answer those questions. Also, I know I made a video recently about how I think switching cars doesn't make you play better in Rocket League. However, I mentioned in that video that your car choice DOES matter. The only claim I made in that previous video was that switching cars during an off day does not help in that of itself. Hope that clears up any confusing. Have a great day!

Me and my friends have this thing we call scarab luck it’s when we go on a losing streak and we switch to scarab and then we actually do well then we switch back to mains after

I do the same. It works cos you change your mindset to caring less about the result of the match. You have a but more fun and that helps you win more since you have a clearer and less tilted head

I use the triton mostly, which has the hitbox of the octane i found out today. It just always felt the best to play with vs when I used to use breakout and dominus more.
Sometimes seeing the contour of the car can help you visualize where you need the ball to dribble for example. I use the dominous hit box and I love the Lamborghini Countach, NexGen Nascar, lamborghini Hurrican.
Wayton: The only difference is that I was able to be a lot more precise with my shots using the octane.

I'm only a Plat 1 player (for now lol, your vids help alot so thank you) and in my own opinion I use the Vulcan because it just feels good to me and with the pinches (just like you said with the batmobile) i can use the wheels to help. the only downside to me is ground dribbling, not saying it isn't possible, but the forward slant makes it harder (to me anyway)

I find the dominus(or however you spell it) to have a nice mixture between the octane and break out hit box. I find it much easier to redirect and shoot in dominus I think due to it being long and flat so it just feels like the hit box matches idk

I do play other games but rocket league is very fun to play on Saturdays^^ I use breakout because it’s very smooth and great to use dragon tail strike in casual that I made of myself. The breakout has great designs and if you see a long dragon on my car in casual yes that’s me. But even so I am a monstercat fan as well. Love the dubstep or techno like beat. But breakout is good at flying kicks unfortunately I am still learning to do that move^^.

With the plank hitbox it is good for powershots because you can get really good ones without airroling so it makes it easier to get a consistent strong hit, octane is better though because it usually has more control
I like your videos because it teaches me something new and I relate to what to what I was messing up on and I learn my mistake in game and it makes me make smart plays I subscribe because of that

I love Using Dominus because its just as good as octane when it comes to flip resets as far as the hitbox. The Dominus wins because its got a very strongly built frame with the gearbox exposing out from the car when its upside down.

I mean this no cap, I was in like a 10 lose streak I was bored and didn’t care so I used the scarab in ranked little did I know I went higher division than I did going down in division aka won near enough all my games.
The only difference in the 50/50s is if you put the roof of the car against ball then obviously the longer hit boxes help and I really noticed that when I tried using the batmobile for a bit.
I mean i use dominus because ive always felt better with it and ive always felt indifferent about octane. From bronze to gold i used the triton bc it looks cool. Dominus looking cool makes me feel that auto confidence. I also use masamune bc its the same hitbox and i get better powershots, it honestly just what i feel like using that day.

the hybrid hitbox is the most underrated hitbox. while it is difficult to be gentle to the ball with it, it's low speed power is insane. stationary flicks to the moon, and tons of power at low speeds. you can barely touch the ball without it booping away from you. and it's tall and good for ground play. it's a 1v1 car to the max.

I used mostly the because that was the first car I used, then the F-150, and now I use the Fennec.

to this, I recommend Takumi or Fennec since they literally just are the octane but without the stupid mental thing you and I both have. On top of that, the visual hitbox of the Takumi and Fennec is shorter than the Octane so you can just hit stuff you shouldn't and it is fun to mess with people

There is literally no connection between thinking a car looks weird to a persons experience in a game. Does not matter if they may be new, I have always thought throughout the entirety of my 2 years playing this game that octane looks weird, from when I was “new” to now. Sorry for the rant

i use the octane because its just overall one of the best cars for about everything and i also found out that the lamborghini sto is pretty good at pinches too
i used to use the octane because it just feels clean but now im in diamond and i just switched to dominus because its pretty good for freestyling and just feels and looks better imo

Hey thank you now I ranked up to plat with using Octane.
There are important mechaniks for each rank and Dribblings and Power Shots are for Golds and Aeriels and air dribbels for plat.
I will change to Breakout now :3
I really like Esper, Aftershock, and Merk I'm best with.
and personally, I think Merk would be a good starter car because the hit box is so big.

i think that the cars with the shorter hitboxes are better for aerials, but the octane was the balance of both bulky and flat cars so i think that the octane is the best car unless you don't really care. But the SCARAB is the one i use the most. (I dont have the scarab lol.)
I use Venom because people never know what hit ‘em when I hit ‘em with the Venom.

I use the backfire as I am really comfortable with it. It is kind of an all-rounder for me.
I choose venom cuz dribbling on it feels easier than octane and dominus. Also the pickup for drribles are awesome!

I watched this when was unranked and I chose the octane and over time this really helped me because of this video I was sure what to play with then I learned mechanics from other videos and then i got plat thank you for making me sure what I should pick.

I use octane/fennec but fennec most of the time because the boxiness represents the hitbox more.
For some reason I feel like I play better with the dominus and have more control but I’m shut at the game so I still trying to work out which I should use I used to use octane a lot then switched to dominus because I could dribble better and felt like I had better control in the air
I actually really like the guardian gxt it just seems to feel like it represents it's hitbox perfectly and isn't as low as the batmobile
I use the breakout because i've got a melon decal for it and i love how it looks

I use the F-150 for the most part. It's harder to dribble with it, but the mustang Nascar it's easier to dribble. I've had great success with the batmobile tank in pinches because of that front wheel like the Batman V Superman batmobile.

Tbh the scarab is just so good, the hit box really compliments the play of the game and also it’s just super all rounded with the hit box, just a super good car, however for me nothing beats the fortnite battle bus
