I mained the Takumi before I got a Fennec, it's a great car, especially for 1s, simply because it gives you Octane-esque control but greater vision without screwing your settings. After you get a Fennec though, there isn't much to be said for the Takumi. It's gotta be Octane or Fennec at that point.
I used to main Takumi simply because it looked like a toy car and I found that hilarious
The hotshot was the first car I ever used when I started playing rocket league, and I used it for around 6 months then switched to the octane then breakout, and now the Fennec.
To be honest, I mainly like the breakout even though it it a very old free styling car from 2016, I still use it!

Animus GP is one of the best looking yet mechanically obtuse cars in the game. Diestro is an unsung hero for snow day matches. And Paladin is unironically the car that took me to GC back in s14.

when i first got rl i immeadiately chose dominus and stuck with that for the longest time, but eventually once i really got into competitive play i just had to use the octane. i used that for a while, every so often using a fennec but always going back to the octane. about a month ago though, i bought a white breakout just to sell it but i played with it once and fell in love, so yeah. i'm a 2021 breakout main

0:15 the octane zsr has a hitbox that fits so well, maybe even better than the octane, but i personally play just as good, maybe even better in the zsr than the regular, but i’m a dominus main so maybe that’s just me

I find that sometimes using a Breakout, Dominus or Merc throws people off... especially in 1v1s. Super simple example: People expect the ball to pop up X high when you run into it at just below sonic, and that's usually based on the Octane or an Octane model car (Fennec). But... drive into that same ball at the same speed when using a Breakout and it pops up much higher, do it with a Merc and you can basically *ram* most balls full speed (ouch) and it still won't go above the crossbar - thus being much lower than an Octane would've hit it. Plus people tend to overlook the fact that a Breakout can have an advantage in aerial 50s due to its crazy length and a merc in grounded 50s as well due to its height.
Also popping the ball off of a wall when going for an airdribble feels drastically different based on the height of your car.
