  • Estrogen is actually a big family of different types of chemicals. What we know with estrogen is we want you to use it and then lose it. You don't want estrogen moving around your body, stimulating receptors over and over again that can lead to breast cancer. It can lead to endometriosis. It can cause a lot of different problems.
So when it comes to estrogen, you want to make good estrogens and get rid of the bad estrogens. Now, how do you do that nutritionally? I want to give you a couple of tips here. Number one, beets. Beets are a fantastic liver tonic. Your liver is the place where estrogen is processed. You want to get rid of the bad estrogens, filter it out of your blood, and then poop and pee it out. Beets are one way to do it. Another way is fiber. Here's what happens when you get more fiber. It helps you get rid of those bad estrogens.
The last thing is a supplement called diindolylmethane. Diindolylmethane or DIM for short and this helps you make more of the good estrogens. It helps you get rid of the bad estrogens. So you want to follow the directions that are on the bottle that you use and you wanna make sure that it's bioavailable. Several randomized trials show that this really helps you with getting rid of bad estrogens.

Great info! How much do we need to eat beets? How often? Like everyday or once a week is enough? Raw or boiled?

Ive tried dim before. It made me irritable and i lost a lot of weight from having no appetite on it. And I'm a skinny girl as is, so it wasn't good. Is that a normal reaction?

Hey, I'm curious to know your experience on dim because I started taking it two weeks ago in order to balance out my hormones and get rid of my cystic acne but I haven't noticed changes. Can you tell me more about your experience?

@1tecito there's not really too much more to tell. My psychiatrist suggested in for my estrogen dominance, i tried it, was irritable and felt empty with no appetite. I stopped it, and my appetite slowly came back and i slowly started eating again. I also tried calcium d glucarate and had similar problems with that, but less intense.

Is there a connection between the estrogen balance and ovarian cysts?
