just make sure you calculate how much calories to need to eat in a day to gain weight! x there is a site where you can calculate your calories you need to eat and just eat every day every day!! start with exercising 2times a week orso x

Love your videos!! Thanks for the inspiration ❤ does it matter the length of the bar for glute bridges? Because I use a dumbbell weight most of the time, not the long bar. Thank you for showing me some new techniques 🎉
I also think the bar typically weighs 45lbs on its own and so it’s a lot easier to use as you build the weight up than holding super high weight dumbbells
I have a new favourite glute exercise - get on all fours like with donkey kicks. Put a heavy dumbbell on the inside of one knee and curl your leg around it. Lift it out to the side and forward to your elbow, then keep it high and move around to the donkey kick position and lower over the other leg (so your legs are crossed). Then reverse the movement. When you can do no more, do donkey kicks with the dumbbell to burn out and get a good pump. I wrap a small towel around the dumbbell for comfort.
@@harric9864 Try it first, it’s tough and works the obliques and core as well. Focus on a full range of motion by bringing the knee up to the elbow while out to the side, move it backwards keeping the dumbbell out to the side and then lower it down over the over leg. Go heavy and slow, there should be constant time under tension and failure should be max 8 reps before pumping out the donkey kicks to failure. It works all three muscle groups of the glutes - the medius while out to the side and the minimus in the other hip to stabilise the movement. The pump from the donkey kicks at the end works the glutes maximus like one leg hip thrusts (with the dumbbell kept inside the knee). I’ve been working out over 10 years to boost my running, cycling and swimming. I have a 80cm waist and am 99cm around the hips and chest, which is a pretty good ratio for a lean guy. It’s worth mixing things up and experimenting from time to time.
@@harric9864 Ok, yes there’s plenty other exercises which are mainly glute maximus, which will grow more. I did get a bit carried away 🙂. Just saying it’s like with chest exercises, just doing movements like bench press will get most the strength, but incorporating some variation to hit other parts, such as upper chest, are worth it IMO. I think this will help me on longer runs because I sometimes get an ache on the side of my hip so this will add lateral strength and stability. I also think it will help with sumo squats because my glute medius will be stronger to keep the knees stable when out to the side.

I know for me, the barbell allows me to add more weight with an easier setup, making it more convenient to challenge myself as I get stronger!
I also think the bar typically weighs 45lbs on its own and so it’s a lot easier to use as you build the weight up than holding super high weight dumbbells
