Great video Dakota! I have had my chewie for a few months now. They have always been my dream gecko and he has not disappointed! He came from a wonderful home and has great manners. The camouflage ability of these geckoes is Amazing!
My chewie is the sweetest man ever. He is very sociable and crawls onto my hands on his own. the only new cals i have that have ever bitten me are both my gargoyles😝
I have a mainland chahoua gecko. He has never been cage aggressive, and has an incredibly nice disposition. He's not thrilled with being handled, but he's a very *nice* gecko. Their camo is truly incredible as well as the variety of color change. Mine is also a great stalking hunter, which is fascinating to watch. He also seems very curious, he likes to observe what's going on in the room around him
Main differences I’ve noticed between my mainland chahoua and crested geckos is the chahouas appreciation of a warm basking spot, I often see him basking during the day. Also my chahoua tends to prefer chunks of overripe/thawed fruits and live insects over crested gecko diet. I don’t experience any of the aggression you talk about from my chahoua, and find mines just as handleable of the average crested gecko.
My gecko was fine until I upgraded his cage. I could hold him with no deal before but now I can't hardly get close to him. I'm going to try to tame him out but he is stunning 😍. But yes the bite can be a bit hard. Thanks for the info and video.
Absolutely no hate and I'm sorry if me asking this offends you it's not my intent But howcome you got a face tat it's really cool just curious to the reasoning
One thing I think is very important to mention is also the protein, these guys eat more bugs than an average crested gecko
1. They splooch on ya... That was gold I tell you that was gold!

Hey question, what do you keep your chewy in? (As in size of the enclosure)
