  • A laser range finder can be one of the most expensive investments you make in your golf equipment. Top of the range models will often cost a few hundred pounds. In this video, Neil Tappin tests out a less expensive option to see how it performs. The Inesis 900 golf laser range finder comes with slope compensation and should help you find all the key yardages you need on the golf course. But how well does it work? Our cheap golf laser tested video should reveal the answer.

    A battery life gauge is the only thing missing from my low cost (oddly named) tectectec range finder. It works just as well as my friends more expensive ones at 1/3 the cost plus the pin seeker technology gives me quick, confident yardages.

    Boblov rangefinder has slope; yds; meters; wind speed; vibration; and a RECHARGEABLE BATTERY. All for $99 USD. Easy to lock onto the target. Out performs all the high priced units.

      I have used it for several months. I think it’s difficult to get an accurate distance because it lacks the flag locking function, so it often gives me the distance of the background instead of the distance to the flag. I wish I had invested a little more for something with such important functionality.

    I just bought the Equin-11Z mane measuring device. It not only measures the length of manes, but tails just as well! With an accuracy of +/- 0,3 mm,
    the Equin-11Z makes all the difference for my horse riding! 😜

    Recently I replaced my Bushnell V2 after 11 years of service with a Boblov range finder. I paid 83 Euros which equals to 75£. It does not feature slope reading but it it has a rechargeable battery and the vibration function. On top it can measure speed if you fancy to find out how fast a car travels. I compared the findings to my shot scope watch and the distances are very accurate. So I would say, bushnell, Nikon and co are just overpriced.

      I'm also using a Boblov rangefinder, albeit a different one as mine has slope but standard non-rechargeable battery. And just as you, I've not been let down by the accuracy. It possibly is a little bit slower than the Bushnells of my mates, but we're talking 2 seconds v. 1 second, at most. And for less than 100€, there's not even a discussion about which one to pick!

      I have the boblov with both slope and rechargeable battery. I do get a couple of readings to be sure partic in fading light. I have had the battery die twice for no reason, but its charged up again ok. Been using it for 4 months and it defo helps on courses you dont normally play. I dont know if it has that scan function with trees in the background but finding a white flag pole is pretty quick.

      I also have a boblov, but with slope and rechargeable battery. Do any of you find the display blurry? If I focus to see the flag sharp I have to turn it so much the actual display get turned a little blurry. I can still read it, but it annoys me a little. Yardage is good never had a problem.

      @francoisdesmoulins-lebeaul4273 4 роки тому

      @@larsmenken2679 yep i have a bit of a balance to find: if I get the image to be perfectly sharp then the indications are blurry and when the indications are sharp the image is blurred. There's a point we're the image is "rather sharp" yet the indications are not blurred enough to be distracting, but it's mildly irritating to not be able to have everything as sharp as possible at the same time.

    You forgot to mention the flag-finder setting on it!
    You can turn that on, and you dont have to "scan" the area arround the flag. (It simply gives the shortest measured distance in a small area where you are pointing, which is the flag as the background is further away)
    Great product - 2nd year using it. - hcp 8

    I am using the same Bushnell model, and I agree it works nicely, but only in perfect weather conditions. In bad weather and also in some harsh lighting situations it let me down a couple of times. In heavy rain, it is sometimes impossible to get the distance from it, as it doesn't lock to anything, due to fogging of lenses. I would be curious about how effective Inesis is in bad weather.

      That is something you have to adjust to no matter what your handicap, my distances change up to 15 yards depending on the temperature and humidity. But I have my distances on a note in my phone, as close as I can tell. In case I forget I can check it pretty quick. Then there is easy and hard to account for and my handicap is pretty high right now. Its more a matter of how much you know about the game.

They should just be banned. And his first shot just proved my point. Doesnt matter if you know the exact inches to the damn flag if you cant be more accurate in your shot. Therefore POINTLESS. And in competitions they really should be banned. If you cant read the course markings then you really deserv to come up short or go long.
