This is so cool to see! I didn’t know it would involve this much writhing!

That prolly explains why my Largest Triop is acting weird recently.

Do they wind up eating the Molts or they have to be removed?

They do eat the molts indeed, its beneficial aswell as the Triops regain their minerals from these old skins.

How long does the average molt take? I saw a very small triops juvenile of mine that is 6 weeks old behaving similarly to this, but as I observed for minutes he didn’t seem to finish, and since he’s so small and he’s also albino he’s hard to spot, so I don’t know if it was successful or not after I looked away and couldn’t find him.

Usually several minutes. Do know that how older they get, how harder molting gets.
Usually Triops end up dying after several months, due to a molting failure. This is fairly normal however

Mine is trying to molt for 10 hours now. Can I assist in any way? I’m afraid he will die trying
